This was really good. I was listening to random love to fall asleep to, and this came up. Yall should do some 1 hour plus pods to exploit the sleep algorithm.
Honestly, I’d love to create some supercut episodes that dive into large chunks of the lore all at once, but right now, we’re focused on picking singular topics, doing the research, prepping, and recording over the course of a week. However long we end up talking is how long the episode turns out! Some topics, like Arthas or the First and Second Wars, naturally stretch beyond an hour, while others, like this one or Medivh, tend to be shorter. We’re still figuring out the balance between diving deep and making the content accessible for both hardcore players and newcomers without overwhelming anyone. Thank you so much for your feedback, it means a lot, and we’ll definitely keep it in mind as we evolve. Even just having you comment and watch one of our videos genuinely makes us happier than you know, so thanks again, and we hope to see you on more of our episodes! 😊
So the person who became the rest of the energy from the well.. how exactly did that happen? Seems like a big deal. Who put the false memories in her head? As far as the trolls, what separates them from Orks? Are they similar or really different? Also thank you for breaking down acronyms for me, huge help.
For Anveena, she was essentially pure arcane energy left behind at the destroyed site of the Sunwell. Krasus (his human name) or Korialstrasz (his dragon name), who is one of the consorts to Alexstrasza, the Red Dragon Aspect of Life, discovered this energy. Realizing the catastrophic consequences if the Lich King, the Burning Legion, or even the Humans and Trolls found out about it, Krasus decided to act. At the time, the Eastern Kingdoms were already devastated by the Scourge, and any conflict over this power could have made things even worse. Since the Red Dragons' purpose on Azeroth is to protect and preserve life, Krasus used his immense magical power to disguise the energy as a human woman named Anveena and even created false memories and loving parents to protect her until the time was right. As for the Trolls, we have only fragments of their history, but it’s clear they’ve been on Azeroth far longer than most other races-by a significant margin. Their empire seems to have risen shortly after the Titans and their Keepers defeated the Old Gods and destroyed the Black Empire. Unlike the Orcs, whose origins we know well, the origins of the Trolls remain a mystery. However, the major difference between the two lies in their sources of power and spirituality. Orcs draw their power from the elemental spirits of Azeroth and Draenor, which represent the primordial forces of life. Trolls, on the other hand, revere the Loa, demigod-like entities associated with aspects of nature, blood, storms, kingship, serpents, and more. It’s somewhat similar to how the Night Elves revere their own demigods.
Talking about Blood Elfs is getting me hyped for TBC. TBC hype!
Only one year to go 😭
