- Once again, I was stoked to hook up with Pete Beck @RiverKingskayak and his son P5. Unfortunately, I lost my voice on the drive down to Tennessee! I didn't need a voice to enjoy one of the most fun whitewater kayaking runs in the southeast - the Tellico River.

Awesome video Ken (as always)! We always look forward to paddling with you! You did a fantastic job capturing the Tellico!
I was only half paying attention at the beginning of the video - Until I heard that familiar laugh. That's when I knew it was on. Ken and Pete are arguably the most genuine ambassadors of the sport of kayaking there are right now. While watching their videos; You clearly get the feeling that they absolutely love all aspects of the sport and want to see you (everyone watching!) out on the water some day, having a fun and safe time. It`s also fun watching Ken and the Petes paddle together because their styles are so different. Ken is the consumate professional, P4's skills are spot on but reserved because he naturally always has an eye out to keep everyone with him safe if not entertained, and P5 is pure joy to watch. Being taught at such a young age by someone who learned the lessons the hard way has made him look so smooth and natural that you'd never believe he wasn't born knowing how to paddle (or was he?). As my skills improve I can only hope that I can become as great an advocate of the sport as Ken and Pete have been and continue to be to so many paddlers.

I was just looking at my old pictures from camping on the Tellico eight years ago today. Good times.
We asked the guy at the store if the upper tellico was good to tube. He said it was a good place to die on a tube. We took 3 to the top and floated em down… even the smaller falls. Crazy, but fun.
Jared's Knee is undercut. I'd know the hazards before setting out.
