I watch it cuz its healing my inner child. I grew up in an abusive home so seeing these parents never yell or hit their kids. Seeing them embrace & cherish parts of the kids that I was once punished for is healing.
I saw my first episode of Bluey on a long-haul flight international flight. It was the middle of the night and I couldn't sleep. I was a 69 year old guy at the time and I was smitten by it. It cheered my boredom and made me long for home. Home is Brisbane, Australia. That's where Bluey is made and set. If you come from Brisbane you will recognise the style of house and some of the outdoor locations.
One day I asked my mom if she wanted to watch Bluey one day and all she said was "No, I'm not a five year old." About a week later I asked her again and she just sighed and gave me the remote. I made her watch Sticky Gecko, Housework, Promises and of course Rain. The first three she chuckled a few times and would say it was a cute episode. At the end of Rain though, she had a HUGE smile on her face and said that it was really sweet. I gave her a look of, 'told you it was a good show.'
i'm a 23 year old with no kids and i watch bluey religiously. at first i started watching it after my epilepsy diagnosis because my neurologist recommended it as nice colors and easy plot so it can help slow down my brain function when i'm overwhelmed/overstimulated but it's so much more than that now. i live in a high stress, abusive household so watching the gentle parenting play out and the way the kids respond is so healing. i can't imagine a family that doesn't hit or yell so escaping into bluey is nice. seeing my siblings in the kids in the show is just extra special that endears me to it further and putting it on helps calm them down when nothing else will.
I don't have kids too and I NEVER WILL, but I LOVE this show with ALL MY HEART, I JUST REALLY REALLY WISH I could leave my world behind and go and live in the WONDERFUL WORLD that is Bluey. ☺ It also makes me happy that there are other fans of this show who don't have kids themselves! ☺
as most of the episodes involve everyday situations it is easy to identify, the show also shows a very fun dynamic between the characters. and the fact that parents are affectionate with their daughters and give them comfort when they need it, makes me so happy because I didn't have that when I was a child.
Bluey gave me the childhood I never had. My mom was too busy to pay attention to me. Dad wasn't around, and my brother and I never got along. This show gives me a way to relive my childhood in a happy and healthy way, and that's why it's so comforting to me. I relate to much to Muffin, and Bingo is just like little kid me. It gives me a way to step back and be a kid again.
@@itsalexpierceI love muffin too. She can be a bit bratty but in a likable way. Good thing she’s not anything like Angelica Pickles and I compare cuz they’re both 3.😂
Bluey legitimately calms my mind. Was feeling super bitter and was super annoyed by everything. Got home and watched a few random episodes of Bluey. And I was completely relaxed. It legitimately made the rest of my day better, more calm.
I appreciated your mention of people who had difficult parents and childhoods commenting about how Bluey is cathartic for them in a really positive way. That's beautiful.
This show gives me so much comfort because of the reason why it gives many other people comfort, healing my inner child. I really relate with Bingo in particular because I was a sensitive child, and although my mom was very nice and comforting for me, my dad would constantly invalidate my feelings. And my mom and dad are seperated, so growing up, I switched between their households every week. But, one episode that isnt much of a favorite for many people, but really gets me as someone who really relates to Bingo is "Dance Mode". When Bandit accidentally takes the chip that Bingo had been saving, and Bingo gets upset and Bandit apologizes and offers a way to make it up to Bingo. But I know that if it were me as a child and my dad in that situation, my dad would tell me that I'm overreacting and that I should just shut up about it. So seeing Bandit actually validate and acknowledge Bingo's feelings after he accidentally stole the chip was so healing for me to see.. Just Bingo and Bandit's relationship in general brings me a lot of comfort.
I am a young man at 21 years old whose biggest purpouse in life is to have a good family. And this week my +2 years old girlfriend broke up with me without a good reason and I have been struggling a lot because I thought I was gonna have this beautiful family with her. And I have just given an oportunity to this show it has helped me to know what kind of man I want to be.
@@mdmalvaro8854 hey man I'm sorry about your split, but take your time with everything as well. I had my daughter young and we never really knew where everything would take us but we knew where we wanted it to lead, and even when we had something like a child in place it didn't work out the way maybe we wanted. Just be sure to take things slow and use your friends and family as a resource of supportive people in your life, the rest will come later.
Bluey is so heartwarming, i love the color pallete of the series, the characters, the actors are perfect, the story and the life lessons in every episode, and I feel like i'm gonna cry with every episode, like an uncle i love this show and thanks to my niece im a huge fan, BLUEY is wholesome and perfect. Everytime i watch Sleepytime, daddy dropoff and the one with Chilli and her dad, my heart is broken but at the same time i feel happy and nice... Good video man!
My group of friends (ages 14-19) can all sit down and watch this together. Five out of eight have toxic home lives at best, abusive at worst, and the comfort and peace it brings us all makes me so happy.
I can’t believe I’m saying this but I think this video is right, Bluey is a comfort show for me (18 year old guy) when I have panic attacks/ when I need to calm down
Just going off off the simple beauty of how this video was structured and how you talked about the show, I thought you had a lot more subs. 100% agree with everything you said and it's especially interesting to hear your perspective as a young parent :) i don't have any kids but me and my partner love watching the show. Just immense comfort, it's genuine perfection
Thanks so much! I actually have another video about Bluey on my channel, if you wanna check it out! And yeah I'm still definitely new to this, especially at the consistency of my uploads haha. But thanks again!
I watch Bluey because it reminds me of my childhood, it’s pretty nostalgic and opened my eyes and made me realize that my parents are so freaking awesome, I love them
It’s a really minor detail, but the episode where Bandit and Chili are hungover but still making sure their kids are taken care of really struck a nerve for me. My dad was a pretty nasty alcoholic growing up so it was nice seeing an example of parents drinking while still being responsible and loving towards their children.
Yeah I love how attentive they are, they even double check and make sure the kids are done with the whale stuff for good when they go off into the other room
It's organic. Teaching lessons in a way that just feels real. It has done it better than any other show. You do good video essays. You should keep it going. Q&A What maid you want to give the style a try. There's so much contrast between you're general channel, then that video. I love it. I'd love to see more like it.
@@itsalexpierce I really enjoyed it 😂 my friends and I used to jinx each other all the time. Also just the idea of having a vacation location was somewhat nostalgic, as my family used to vacation in Yarrawonga when we were down under
