Fun facts: I met the man of the hour Michael Giacchino himself, J.J. Abrams and Danny DeVito and luckily got a video/photo opportunity with them after the show. Also this is my second time attending a Royal Albert Hall event, the first being Kylie Minogue.

This has to be one of the most under-rated movie scores of all time. So emotional and stirring. Instant classic.

Your father would be proud is literally my favorite song of all time. That followed with Hope is such an emotional 5 minutes of music

I swear to god, Michael Giacchino is the type of person who wanted so badly to be a movie composer when he was a kid, and here he is right now.
He is worthy to succeed John Williams

This was so beautiful and tragic at the same time. I like how Jyn and Cassian ,who were two broken and lonely souls were able to find each other even though their time together was brief. I love how Cassian was always there for Jyn. He was the one person in her life who never abandoned her.

This was such a great movie. The Andor series was pure fire.
This music gave me such chills and emotions. I have loved the opera that is Star Wars ever since I was a child. The characters, the planets, the sadness, happiness, tension, love, drama, suspense and dare I say it; comedy too.
I have always loved John Williams as the “father” to these films but to think there are two geniuses who love SW the same just blows my mind. This composition encapsulated every emotion of that film. As always, it’s not just the script that makes this a fantastic movie but the score too. You only need to listen to a certain part to know what is happening in the film 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Andor came out with such a similar masterpiece of a soundtrack. It’s just a shame Andor is not getting the recognition it deserved
The more frequently I revisit Lost, the more obvious it is that Giacchino defined the most important memories of that storytelling experience. How he brought these mysterious emotions to Star Wars in a way that respects and builds on Williams’ legacy in under 4 weeks is beyond belief. It unites the prequel and OG generation fans as far as I’m concerned. Powell and Göransson performed admirably in this new era but Rogue One was the ultimate triumph of this era musically.
Soundslash Kevin Kiner is a legend. I hope he gets a shot at the Kenobi series!!

Rogue One will be re-released on August 26 here in the States on IMAX. I can't wait to see it again in the big screen.
"Guardian of Whills" is may be the best theme compose for Giachino's Rogue One Score.

Rogue One soundtrack is my 2nd favorite Star Wars score right after John Williams!
Ooooooh this is so beautiful! Today someone asked me what my favorite Star Wars movie was and I thought about it for a moment and then said "Rogue One!" Every generation has brought something new to the Star Wars universe, and they all have their fair share of flaws no matter when it was made. But Rogue One? Rogue One to me is flawless, quality Star Wars that unites elements and stories from every generation of the Star Wars. And it is beautiful!
Also Michael Giacchino is an absolute musical GENIUS and I love his work so much!

Did you by any chance record the Star Trek, Jupiter Ascending or Tomorrowland cues?
I have the full cue for Star Trek, plus the Gonzo interruption segment edited down of course to cut on time and footage excess. Unfortunately none of Jupiter Ascending and as for Tomorrowland a very brief clip cue. All of the stated is actually included in my most recently uploaded final video regarding the whole Michael Giacchino event. Check it out, anybody who attended and watches it will love it :)
was thinking a huge part of the original composition was from Alexandre Desplat .... I'm wrong?
yup
Desplat was originally hired to score the movie but he was replaced by Giacchino at the last minute. Giacchino wrote the entire score in about 4.5 weeks.
Ah the only good movie to come out of Disney... I love John Williams, but it's clear how Rogue One soundtrack is original but at the same time a tribute to the original trilogy score. I still get goosebumps when I hear the bit of music where Darth Vader absolutely destroys the rebels...
