    I love this because it's so accurate and well-informed! One thing that's a bit inaccurate is standing up without holding onto the rails as the train stops or bumps 😂😂 It's so tough staying as you are hahaha

      If you said such a thing in Japan, there's a fair chance that you may not be allowed to ride the train again. You are not suppose to disturb others in anyway, and if you must speak to someone it must be formally, quietly, and end as soon as possible. Train rules in Japan are very strict compared to other countries, which is why saying such a Thing is incredibly bad.

    おはようございます!
    What a surprise!! No body answered my question (cf. supra) you are not serious!!!
    I am a beginner in Japanese, that is why I still need some help.
    Any how I found the answer for my question, by my self:
    The phonetic pronunciation is:
    (女性専用車) (Josei sen'yōō-sha)
    Women only car /// WOMEN ONLY
    専 (sèm) dedicated /// dédié in French.
    Because I know only hiragana and some katakana, for the time being, I still need some more time to be familiar with kanji syllable (漢字音節). 漢字シラブル.
    One more notice for those Japanese who try to teach us their language:
    Google has the worst translation system ever, not only in Japanese, but also in any other language. How many mistakes!!!

    Serious question : What's the purpose of women only cars?

    • @peachyfloof6542
      @peachyfloof6542 9 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      Ueapop Pannopas In Japan it can get very crowded in trains during rush hour, to the point where you are sandwiched in between people. It's easy for offenders to grope/molest people and get away with it. Women only cars were introduced to tackle that problem.

    • @drzzsz1439
      @drzzsz1439 9 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Ueapop Pannopas unfortunately sexual harassment is a huge problem, especially during rush hour when crowded cars are /really/ crowded. It's not even uncommon for harassers to arrange to "gang grope" women.
      Since friendly plakats asking harassers not to harass didn't help, women only cars seem to be the only possible way to help.

    While it shows that the men shouldn't board Women Only cars, there have been times when men used the doors of the Women Only cars to exit. I remember riding the Hanzomon line to the T-CAT one morning, and there were men who made their way to the doors for the next station, then they'd wait by the doors and get off. They kept their heads down, eyes downcast and arms folded across the chest as they walked to the doors. They did not look at any of the women.

    • @Somnavira
      @Somnavira 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I've heard that women are often sexually assaulted on trains and sometimes are too afraid to do anything about it. So imagine being a woman on a crowded train, especially if you get stuck in a corner. That's why it's best to take women only trains, to prevent incidents like these since you can't always stop them from happening on regular trains. And from what I've seen, women over in Japan seem much more quiet, although I'm sure plenty of women will still put a pervert on blast.
