We all deserve livable wages. We all deserve to retire with dignity. We all deserve safe working conditions. These "Crown Corporation" people have had the opportunity time and time again to "negotiate" what they want, and they do so by disrupting Canadians while at the same time asking/begging for our support. As they strike, they are depleting "their" corporation, "their' employer, of even millions more than it's already losing. Canada Post has outlived its usefulness to Canadians. If the employees aren't happy, then let them find another job. It's what the rest of Canadians are faced with.
Postal worker and cupw member here. I disagree with "livable wages". Minimum wage shouldn't exist. It is squeezing small business owners. My job is easy. I supported this strike because I support my fellow workers but my honest opinion is the union stands in the way of progress. There is no reason canada post needs 55000 postal workers. I have no political affinity. I refuse to support ndp or liberals. I have no faith in pollievre but i feel forced to either not vote or vote for him.
Going on strike while the company is going under is not a wise decision and places the responsibility of the worker losing his/her job squarely on the worker.
It's a dirty tactic to go on strike over the Xmas holidays. They've done it before, and they're doing it again. Why not strike any other time of year? Because they know the packages need to go out, and they have a better chance at getting the benefits they want. NO MORE STRIKES AT CHRISTMAS is what I'm saying. Thank-you for forcing them back to work
So call up your boss and tell him to call and election so you can win and change the policies (hahabhahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahaha )
..because you did not look at the bigger picture when deciding to go on strike. I support Unions, but this was not thought out with so many other private companies delivering. Just wasnt. Take what you can get now before the government lets it go private all around
Is her boss jagmeet or trudeau ? Because Jagmeet is teudeaus boss? Now does this work does she carry trudeaus water herself or helps Jagmeet carry trudeas water?
As far as voting for the Conservatives I won't.Do i think Pierre would he do a good job Yes. I am very impressed about how much he knows about economics and world history. Here's the deal I will sit this one out and not cancel a conservative vote. Is that fair? but having a Conservative government won't offend me because I remember the good The Progressive Conservatives have done in Canada and I believe Pierre is a progressive conservative it's not a sin to not want to waste resources.
@Ayla876 Because of the Newfoundland Conservative Party and the Danny Williams loyalist in it . Remember the ABC campaign Anybody But Conservative in Newfoundland. The Newfoundland Conservative Party are traitors to the Canadian people. Just the other day the leader of the Conservatives in Newfoundland came out defending MUN university and it's spending of poor Newfoundlanders tax dollars and MUN has been caught time and time again in spending and sexual scandals. Newfoundlanders young and old are going to food banks and being replaced by forgein students in housing and at food Banks. The government and MUN refuse to admit the forgein student numbers have become a social problem. Just like the academic elite in the States they hate the working class.
Close the post office, contract with others company willing to buy. Why waste our money to subsidies in this losing business. I can't survive my wages and you are keep asking for high percentage increase in wages

It is an insult to Canadians that the NDP even have an opinion on this. It's YOUR FAULT (NDP) that the Canada Post situation is where it is.
