What is wrong with the word Wacko. PM has used worse words and never gets called out. This speaker is the most annoying, bias speaker I have ever witnessed.
it's semantically wrong : whether or not a person is « wacko » (or any similar label) cannot be established by experience… at best, one can says that a person has an history of behaving in a manner that they, or other people, deem is « wacko, » but even that doesn't imply that each and every action they have ever taken, and/or that they will take in the future, can de facto be deemed « wacko »… and that's the whole point : the problem is never the person themselves, but what they do/don't do or what they say/don't say… and thus the problem here is not whether or not PM Trudeau « is wacko, » the problem, at least according to MP Poilievre, is that the policy « is wacko »… so, for his criticism to be legitimate, MP Poilievre should target the policy, and not the person of the PM, but he doesn't… he rather insists, even after being offered several opportunities to withdraw the personal attacks, and repeats the offense using different labels… moreover, personal attacks, such as name calling, are a well-known logical fallacy that consists in trying to discredit the person rather than properly refuting their points, or in the present instance, policies… and obviously that is fallacious because it doesn't actually address the points themselves… and ultimately that amounts to fooling oneself, as the points haven't been properly refuted, and thus the problem, and the burden of addressing it, remain whole… also, that a person resorts to such fallacious methods suggests that they don't really have any sort of substantial argument to support their criticism… if they did, they would simply have to present those arguments, and thus properly refute the points of the other person, and that would be the end of the story… truth needs no artifice… why all of this is important has to do with order, and how order is related to personal well-being… basically, allowing falsehood into one's mind is courting internal trouble, and thus upholding truth is a requirement of the physiology of human consciousness… « To conceive order, to return to order, to realize order in oneself, around oneself, by means of oneself, this is aesthetic and moral beauty, it is well-being, it is what ought to be. » ― Henri-Frédéric Amiel that being said, personally i typically lean towards the left, but as you pointed out, PM Trudeau has also made similar mistakes in the past, for instance during the last federal campaign when he quite spectacularly insulted people who were refusing vaccination… it would be nice if the people who want to govern a country would wake up to their duty of leading by example, and at the very least apologize for committing such unjustifiable missteps…
The Canadian parliamentary rules outline conduct guidelines for speaking members: Members must be in their designated place, stand to be recognized, and address the Chair when speaking. Attire expectations include jackets, shirts, and ties for male Members. Freedom of speech is a crucial privilege, but it must be exercised with respect and within the rules. Members are expected to maintain order and decorum, respecting others' viewpoints and avoiding offensive behaviour or language. The Speaker plays a vital role in maintaining order and enforcing rules. These rules are intended to foster respectful and orderly debate within the House-an aspect that seems lost on Pierre Poilievre and his internet trolls.

The Speaker is responsible for maintaining order in the Chamber by ensuring that the House’s rules and practices are respected. Which they clearly were not by Pierre Poilievre! The Speaker’s disciplinary powers are intended to ensure that the debate remains focused. The right to speak is tempered by the written rules of the House which, in general, impose limitations on what may be said and when, by whom and for how long. The proceedings of the House are based on a long-standing tradition of respect for the integrity of all Members. Pierre Poilievre consistently overlooks the importance of civility and respectful discourse, opting instead for vitriolic and disrespectful remarks. The use of offensive, provocative or threatening language in the House is strictly forbidden. Personal attacks, insults, and obscenities are not in order. it's semantically wrong : whether or not a person is « wacko » (or any similar label) cannot be established by experience… at best, one can says that a person has an history of behaving in a manner that they, or other people, deem is « wacko, » but even that doesn't imply that each and every action they have ever taken, and/or that they will take in the future, can de facto be deemed « wacko »… and that's the whole point : the problem is never the person themselves, but what they do/don't do or what they say/don't say… and thus the problem here is not whether or not PM Trudeau « is wacko, » the problem, at least according to MP Poilievre, is that the policy « is wacko »… so, for his criticism to be legitimate, MP Poilievre should target the policy, and not the person of the PM, but he doesn't… he rather insists, even after being offered several opportunities to withdraw the personal attacks, and repeats the offense using different labels…
moreover, personal attacks, such as name calling, are a well-known logical fallacy that consists in trying to discredit the person rather than properly refuting their points, or in the present instance, policies… and obviously that is fallacious because it doesn't actually address the points themselves… and ultimately that amounts to fooling oneself, as the points haven't been properly refuted, and thus the problem, and the burden of addressing it, remain whole…
also, that a person resorts to such fallacious methods suggests that they don't really have any sort of substantial argument to support their criticism… if they did, they would simply have to present those arguments, and thus properly refute the points of the other person, and that would be the end of the story… truth needs no artifice…
why all of this is important has to do with order, and how order is related to personal well-being… basically, allowing falsehood into one's mind is courting internal trouble, and thus upholding truth is a requirement of the physiology of human consciousness…
« To conceive order, to return to order, to realize order in oneself, around oneself, by means of oneself, this is aesthetic and moral beauty, it is well-being, it is what ought to be. » ― Henri-Frédéric Amiel
that being said, personally i typically lean towards the left, but as you pointed out, PM Trudeau has also made similar mistakes in the past, for instance during the last federal campaign when he quite spectacularly insulted people who were refusing vaccination…
it would be nice if the people who want to govern a country would wake up to their duty of leading by example, and at the very least apologize for committing such unjustifiable missteps…
The Canadian parliamentary rules outline conduct guidelines for speaking members:
Members must be in their designated place, stand to be recognized, and address the Chair when speaking.

The rules of the House are based on the idea that elected officials should work to maintain a sense of respect for all members of Parliament. your description is counterfactual : for one, replacing is not withdrawing… replacing a derogatory label with another doesn't really change the gist of the comment : it remains a personal attack… so then MP Poilievre was asked to withdraw the attack, but he refused to comply, and did so on several occasions… that he was kicked out for this is consistent with the rules of the House…
that being said, if the Speaker doesn't apply those rules equally to everyone, including PM Trudeau, as has been suggested elsewhere in this comment section, then there's indeed of problem of bias…
also, MP Poilievre should have directed his criticism towards the policy only… in targeting the person of the PM, he merely shot himself in the foot, as the whole debate was derailed, and the opportunity to show which aspects of the policy are inappropriate has been lost…

The truth hurts?
You notice the CBC , CTV and Global don't cover the actual issue that the de criminalization of these drugs
is destroying the lives of Canadians in BC .
Instead , the CBC , CTV and Global focus on all the personal comments in the HoC's .
.
So you are kicked out for saying truth now?
Ableism isn’t truth, it’s hatred.
Truth hurts. 😅
If the shoe fits
Trudeau is a real dude men can’t handle, he’s not watching fights all the time, playing video games all the time, drinking beer and saying he has no money for food.
“Wacko” is a lot milder than what most Canadians would call the Turd.
'Withdraw the word wacko'
'OK.'
'Now withdraw the whole thing.'
'...no.'
This speaker is clearly bias.
This is how my country is run lol
Yet the speaker of the house breaking ethics is acceptable.
Foxtrot Juliet Tango
I could watch this over and over and over and over! It’s a beautiful thing! Good for Poilivre!
Wacko… white surpremacist … which is worse?
Screw that guy. Good on you Pierre
Trudeau is far worse than a wacko.
They’re all far too over entitled, and unaccountable for their very serious errors. Because there are obviously unresolved issues with eugenics based ideologies, when a prime minister in waiting, is blissfully unaware of how dehumanizing his comments and perspectives are….perpetually at the run off of a number of preventable problems, rather than the root. Why not put this much energy into holding big pharma accountable for drug crises?
How rude! Do it again.
Fergus is just Trudeau in his favorite costume.
Bravo Poiliere, the true Prim Minister of Canada!
...but the right-wing, nationalist, conspiracy theorists remarks don't get Jussie T booted out?
Guess we shall have to do that next election.
You’re confused and wreckless to think one form of ignorance justifies another. This is a problem of entitlement we Canadians burden one another with.
Speaker should say....the right wing dishonourable prime minister.....never answers any questions ..defflect defflect.....throw him out
Wacko is the nicest name I’ve ever heard trudeau be called
I can't believe what has happened here in the US and what is happening in Canada
replace wacko with "wacko feminist"
Insert Trudeau's house comments about Trucker Labels being Nazis, and Extremists, against his own lawfully protesting citizens that he orders the arrest of them with his right hand Christina Freeland who was issuing orders diretly to CSIS of what her office wanted to be conducted, that they fail to report on unbiased news reporting. They failed to report today how much the speaker costed us at Global of course and just conveniently failed to show the Conservative Party all walking out of Parliament in support of Pierre, how much did that speaker cost us in that move today. Failed to show Trudeau labelling Pierre "Extremist" just the few statements before which is why he changed his statement to "Extremist" showing some significant bias on Parliamentary house terms......This speaker has no business being in his position as he can't remain un-biased and of course he was a Liberal Appointed Speaker.......yet again more corruption......more bias media.....more failure to tell the WHOLE STORY to the public.......just what they WANT you to see.....this is TRUDEAU'S Canuckistan and you'll LIKE HIM, or you'll be SUBJECTED to more CHINESE INTERVENTION....the CSIS agent that ratted on that is GUARANTEED out of his career by now thanks to Liberal Corruption too.....but Media is hush hush on that one too.....
You work for your ward news?
It’s the truth
Weird that he let the term spineless slip but go full bias on the word wacko.
Thank you Pierre
I see a new Trudeau flag being designed right now. " Wacko Trudeau " Has a nice ring to it.
I’m wondering how your comments meet community guidelines…ableism is hatred.
Yes, limiting comments in the house should be minimalized by leaders... but damn that was good! 😆👏
Wacko is the best word
Every single day I see people lying in the streets, dying of these drugs!! Im in Canada's capital, this has to end! It's insanity
Why is speaker not allowing compliments?
I think at a minimum we should have Trudeau tested because he has a lot of disturbing "wacko" traits.
Agreed
