I’ve changed ALOT of fork seals in my day and decided to watch for the heck of it. Great job explaining what you need to do and why. Will be very helpful to others. Great job bud and good on you for taking the time to make the video!

Dude thank you so much for this video. I have this set of marzocchis on my CRF70 and I'm about to have to go through them. Going to have this video playing in my shed as I do it.

Thanks for the killer video! I have a klx 110 full mod pitbike with Kim 65 forks. I need to do this after I install adult spring rate springs. It's going to help a ton. Awesome!!!

Peter Holmes the general principals involved in the fork seal change will be the same but the 2 forks have different components inside of them. You can likely order a Service Manual CD from your local dealer which will guarantee you a smooth seal change.

Great video do you think this would be same procedure on a KTM Duke 200?

Great video, what year is the bike?

I have a question. When I did this procedure on these same forks i dont think i screwed that top cap all the way down until it "buried out" as you said at 28:28. I think that the locking nut underneath it moved up a little during my work. So essentially my top cap just ended up meeting up with the locking nut and then I tightened them up. Do you think that that would affect the rebound adjustment screw at the top of the fork? I assume that the rebound adjustment screw needs to meet up with the adjustment rod. Do you think I should take the forks back down and make sure that the top cap buries out before I tighten the locking nut?

Will this work on a ktm 85sx 2004? Excluding the oil level measurement of course.

Dude please do the 2018 front fork. Thats a misserable thing. There is no bold under the fork to remove the inner rube out of the shell. No plase to download the manual

Did you ever figure this out? My son has the same year bike 2018 KTM65sx and I’m looking into replacing the seals on the forks. One fork has an air bladder. Thanks!

Contrary to popular thought, the correct way to fill the fork with oil is to measure the gap between the top of the fork tube and the oil level itself. (basically measuring the air gap in the fork with all of the components installed other than the cap). Ensure the dampening rod (if you have one) is in the extended position, mimicking the rod being attached to the cap. The measurement should be somewhere around 125-130mm. but it's dependent on your internals, model of fork, oil weight etc... confirm with your local KTM dealer to be sure.
