  • So apparently this guard will allow us to go from a .5 to a 1.5 guard. Basically eliminating the need for multiple guards. In this video we are going to test it out and see how it really works. Do think it will do what it says it does???

    I have it, if you use it correctly, it is very effective. I think the best way is to clear all the bulk with a detachable 2 BLADE. Then make your skin line. Make your open section with the clipper open. Then all you need is the blur guard. The blur guard is not made for bulk removal.

    • @Seancutshair
      @Seancutshair  ปีที่แล้ว +2

  • @Mike-hy8cs
    @Mike-hy8cs ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Its basically the phat master blade but with a guard instead of a blade. It works but you have to pass over areas quite a few times. It also works on some textures of hair a lot easier than others. Also never use it to fade into bulk not worth doing at all. Instead use the 1.5 guard first then come behind it with the blur guard.
    Anyone with thick coarse hair you will end up having to pass this guard so many times its not worth using. You dont have to use it quarter inch by quarter inch you just go open halfway close or vise versa it blends fine like that. All in all the way i use this guard where I feel it is faster is with certain hairtypes and I use it to do a quick rough draft of my fade.
    I dont try to get every little hair with this because you will waste a lot of time because the guard doesnt feed hair perfectly. Just use it until it blends pretty well put the guard away and then use other guards. Theres usually only minor touch ups to do after. With that said Ive been forcing myself to use it because I can do the same thing with a 0 guard and it feeds hair better. So less passes and I know how to blend it into a 1.5 guard closed already. So the blur guard doesnt do too much for me honestly.

    I have two Mythics with a JRL taper blade. Mythic1 w/click lever-use it with the blur guard BUT when I can hear the clipper is starting to bite the guard, I pull back a lil bit so it doesn't bite/rattle. Mythic 2 w/stretch bracket and no click lever I just fade my open lever to closed lever panel

  • @yxdah5601
    @yxdah5601 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    This seems weird. I don’t really understand what makes it open up further than a regular guard when the level on your clipper is still the same, having a stretch bracket seems like a smarter way to go for that effect but I’ll just stick with the old school wall guards and my ergos lol

    Let the clipper blade wear down the guard. 🤔
    First, i haven’t checked out the site so my concerns may already be covered there.
    Second, It would be a good idea to know which clipper/s the Blur Guard was designed for.
    Finally, I don’t want my blade to wear down the Blur Guard before the guard is in it’s best condition. The moving blade is taking an unnecessary thrashing.
    Hopefully they work the design bugs out.
