[4K] Chasing CP 2816 "The Empress" across Illinois!

My first time chasing a steam locomotive was quite successful! I caught it five times, including crossing the Mississippi River.

1. Man, that's a lot of cars!
2. I love how on the second shot, the steam really shows how hard the wind is blowing!
3. The car with all the vents says "generator car." Isn't that something the locomotives are supposed to do?
4. Towards the beginning of the river shot, why does it come out from behind the trees and then go back in again?

3. Normally, yes. I'm not sure why they had a separate car, since I would assume the F-units are equipped for passenger service.
