For next time, another thing I would check for is metal filings on the locker actuator magnet and clean it off so it doesn't impede actuation down the line, and just good to get it out of there. Funny coincidence, just ordered Purple Cranium diff guards for my PW and my shop is doing full 50K gear, tranny, xfer case fluid change this Monday.
Looks awesome, buddy! Just a thought: wielding the axle tubes to the diff housing might be a good idea too. Seems like a common yet worthwhile off-road mod/upgrade. Can't wait to see more!
Wow, I do enjoy what I've seen done to this Jeep, and had planned on doing the same, but after watching an interesting TH-cam series by Gale Banks about the inefficiencies of some aftermarket diff covers (not providing adequate lubrication, overheating, aeration, etc). In short, not all diff covers are created equal and sometimes stock really is better.
he applied liquid gasket incorrectly, you do not cover hols for bolts. Also, you do not wipe gear oil while you are installing liquid gasket, surface should be dry clean from any grease. You will be back in the shop for leaks. Quality of work is really bad.
I HAVE BIT OF A PROBLEM WITH MY 2019 HEMI 1500 CREWCAB, AN WANTING TO SEE IF YOU HAD ANY ADVICE. MY TRUCK KEEPS MAKING A LOUD HUMMING NOISE BOUT ONCE A WEEK , SO LOUD ITS OVER THE RADIO AN PEOPLE TAKING IN THE TRUCK EVERYONE NOTICES IT , SOMETIMES ONLY ONCE REAL QUICK AN OTHER TIMES OVER AN OVER FOR LIKE 3 OR 4 MINS . IVE TAKEN IT TO DEALER 5X ALREADY AN FIRST THEY SAID RACK AN PINION, THAN THEY SAID EXHAUST, THAN SAID THEY ARE FINE , AN CAN'T REPRODUCE NOISE . SO SAME I PICK IT UP AN THEY IT DOES IT AGAIN OUT OF NO WHERE , AN I USUALLY HAVE 2 OR 3 PEOPLE WITH ME AN HEAR IT ALSO . I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO NOW . ANY SUGGESTIONS OR ADVICE? I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP . THANK YOU SIR.
Nice upgrade....looks beefy indeed....A messy work bench means you're working....lol....So with all that extra added weight, would that upset your gas millage?....lol...I need to add one to my Ram.....
Steve u CANT USE that power steering fluid you have to use the mopar Electronic power steering fluid. I'm pretty sure anyway its definitely something to look in to. I watched a video on adding hydraulic assist to the new JLs and incorporating it into the new Electric assist steering and that was an important point they made
Everything is looking good Steve. Glad to see it all coming along. Great videos.
Thanks Rob
Lots new stuffs for the Jeep
Sure hope you watched the Edelbrock videos on diff covers
You mean Banks? I have
@@BEASTProjects I swear if you even mention diff covers these days someone always pipes up with, "bUt DiD yUo SeE bAnKs ViDeO tHoUgH?"
So you're aware that the added capacity and "beef" is arguably worse for what's going on inside that cool looking cover, got it.
5cent27 You do realize that the goal is protection against destroying the diff cover on a rock while offroad& losing all the gear oil.
@@BEASTProjects man, these gray moments just keep coming 😵

Thanks John, solid advice my friend.

Thanks Mike... Every time, when I mention anything about new diff covers. 😂
Will they clear the stock tie rod?

You’ll be fine w/ these covers. You’ll get stranded offroad w/ the stock ones. I only replaced them for protection.
Toyota trucks have drain plugs and fill plugs on their trucks, always standard feature.
I think a HEMI would looks sweet under that hood
Agreed!
Negative there ghost rider. A Cummins swap 🙃
You could have reused the same gasket.
True, but we decided against it.
@5:00 Where can I get a 12.8 millimeter socket?

How about exhaust system for the Rubi Beast
Hummm 🤔
Any updates on the Charger Diablo Tune video showing dyno?
I actually called Maple Grove Automotive yesterday to schedule the Charger & Rebel. I hope to get it done soon.
Hey are you running the Rock Slide steps? If so how they holding up to the rocks. Thanks
They’re holding up strong & protecting my Jeep when I’m thrashing on the trails.
My RSE Steps are great. Dad and Mom (81 & 78) love them. So do my grandkids.
Easy in and out, held up well around the Colorado Alpine Loop.
Wonder if they make covers that would work on my power wagon

looks like big tires paying off, metal shavings. LOL. You need different gear ratio for this big tires.
They’re 4.10’s & we’re rolling on 37’s. We’ll regear if we go up more in tire size.
@@BEASTProjects , factory 4.10 is for factory tire size.
4.88 needed at a minimum
First
You win a hoodie! Wait! 🤣😝
