This was very helpful. I don’t have this kind of shower but it was helpful. Thank you. Great instructions.

Why wasn't the shower tray cut into the wall. I was told it must be done like that as silicone eventually wears and may leak thru esp if it's an upstair bathroom

I had the same issue and spoke to Mira support who were very helpful. They said 9 times out of 10 the rubber strip is in the wrong orientation. To fix remove the rubber strip and flip it around upside down. This means the end you cut/trimmed at the top will now be at the bottom, I did this and the infill strip clipped in exactly like the video. Hope this helps.

I like Mira products and after watching this video thought it looked so easy even my grandmother could put it together. Well it was an utter pain in the arse to put together. I am competent DIYer but this video is misleading. For a start it says measure 10mm from the edge of the shower tray, the instructions say 8mm? That is just for starters. The screws that join everything feel like they are made of cheese, the seals don’t fit at all well. That said Mira do provide a video, spares and extensive instructions even if they lack on detail like telling you what item you get. All you get is a line drawing that just has a number like 2x next to it. Why not say what the part is? rather than leave someone trying to guess what each is from badly drawn items.
