Parker, Regarding your windshield crack. Check to see if you are grabbing ahold of the roof when entering and exiting the vehicle. Although the roof on the coup may be considered structural, it doesn't need to be because of the tub. In order to save weight they likely did not make it fully structural. Where the crack appears is in the driver's side close to the corner where the greatest stress would be encountered, in the event the roof flexes in the slightest, when pulling on it with your weight. I believe you need to find another way to hoist yourself in and out, in order to avoid this issue. Just a thought... G

Pirelli P Zero - "To provide the optimum balance of performance, grip, handling and comfort for use in a wide range of road conditions", and Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R - "This is a track performance tyre with a tread pattern and compound optimised for peak performance in dry weather with higher ambient and surface temperatures" :)

The 600 LT on a recent road rally had the same cracked windscreen and it also pinched its own windscreen rubbers too - so you could tell the screen had been physically moving in the frame. I would say this happens to 100% of 600 LTs if driven hard.
You can try and lower the tyre pressure a little bit - approx. 0.4 bar less - this might help with the tyre temperatures. They should get warmer faster that way.
We own a 570s the car has already been at the shop 3 times for new windshield (600 miles). Be happy about it at least you can do some rally and get a new windshield every 3 months. Positive side
Went to a car show in the uk the other day there was also a cracked McLaren window but it was a 570s it was cracked the same as yours was he said it cracked when he braked hard he only got the car a week ago aswell great vid btw!
Parker says it happens because the carbon tub is so rigid, which doesn't make any sense at all. If the tub was flexing it would make much more sense that the screen would crack.
I have to say Parker, the windshield cracking itself, and the window rolling itself down are pretty unacceptable. I've got a Corvette Z06/07 and a new '18 NSX. I can't imagine those types of problems with those cars. Neither of them have a front lift, because it's really not necessary. I can get in and out of sloped driveways etc. Would Honda/Acura produce a car that has those problems? Not a chance. The Vette has been bulletproof for two years, and I drive it in -40C winter weather in Canada with studded snow tires on it. Same with the NSX. Would you dare driving your McLaren in those conditions? I doubt it....... To me, when you spend more than $100K on a car, it should be able to operate flawlessly in any conditions you want to drive it in on the planet..............I don't care if it's a sports car........irrelevant.............

When the battery gets low it's supposed to drop the window. Without power window won't go down which means you can't open the door without breaking the glass.
The window going down randomly is related to the car being, or thinking, it's nearing a low voltage condition. It goes down so you can open the door manually without having to break the glass.

Not sure where you keep your key after you park or how the Mclaren key specifically works...but if you keep the key in your pants pocket for instance, maybe there's a button sequence that auto-drops the window?

I studied the Lambo, Ferrar, Porsche GT3i and Mclaren. Chose the GT3. And the only thing I dislike is the PDK in Auto mode shifts at 2000 RPM's os I go to the paddles.
On a McLaren when the battery voltage is low or the battery itself is weak the windows drop. So I’d keep an eye on that it should show reserve levels on the dash.
In my opinion the roof intake should be better engineered into the C pillars ... unless it let you go under water - which would be fanTASTIC. 3:54 mins in- I just had to drop that comment while I was thinkin' bout it

My BMW i8 also developed a stress crack in the windshield. AFTER 4 years Found other pics online. Cracked down the middle then cracked toward both A pillars, where the doors mount. Warranty covered it for me as well but what happens after warranty? Better have full glass coverage.
In the video in which you tool delivery of the car, the salesman told you that when the car senses its batteries are low on power, it automatically drops its windows so when you open the car with the manual key then the window doesnt get caught between the windowsill and breaks. So maybe theres something wrong with the battery.
I work in imports/exports ✈️ ✈️✈️ in Toronto and 3 MacLarens had cracked windshields at the same spot and I think the reason is that chasee moves or flexes resulting in a cracked windshield
I have a McLaren 650S. To lower my car I raise the lever until it beeps (2 sec) then I lower the switch and the car will lower. But in reality, once you are over 37mph it auto lowers

The window issue has to do with the battery. If the battery power goes low it will lower the window. Could be a sensor issue with the battery.

my 570S Spider had the same window issue and Mclaren said they have no fix for it, at the time. Plus the alarm would just go off at random times.

Try some aggressive braking to warm the tires a bit faster. That should help.
