Just to let you know I built my rog Hyperion white build with your video helped me a lot you’re awesome keep it up man!
Great step by step... Aiming on this case for my next build evolving around a home theater setup.
Thank you, Christopher! This may be the most professional online video I have seen. I think it deserves a bit of compensation. Thanks again!
Very generous
Glad you found it useful and thanks
How you use donate message?
Thank you so much. What I did after watching your video. (1) didn't like the fan case infront/covering the top left corner of the motherboard, so I moved it outside the case. (2) bought a USB c to USB 2.0 header for the 2nd USB C cable from case. (3) GPU is water cooled AIO so took the RGB panel out for the radiator and added a 120mm fan case under it. Everything else is almost identical. First build after 22 years. Wouldn't have been able to without your video! Thanks you so much.
Thank you Chris, I really wished the video to keep going because I really enjoyed every minute, very good details and a walkthrough.
Again, exceptional review, very very well done! Been a fan of your work ever since I came across it.
Thanks
Same here.. Christopher is a great teacher..highly admire his dedication and enthusiasm when sharing his knowledge...
Greetings.
This tutorial and example of a nice job on building a new PC is one of the best I've ever watched in a piece.
An excellent video that clearly shows that it can be done without ads and unnecessary aspects of bullshit and nonsense around.
Keep it up.
What a great in depth video
Was thinking of picking this case when I upgrade my PC in the next month or so. This guide was really helpful for deciding if it was the case for me, and will also probably make installation a lot easier so many thanks for the very detailed guide!
Have you gotten the case
@AznUzer Yes, I ended up getting this case for my new build. The video was really helpful in putting everything together in the new build.
Thanks a million from Canada!
The tower may be on the extravagant side, but its benefits, especially for having expanded airflow abilities, a built-in graphics card holder, and other cool quirks make this a fairly stylish gaming rig.
I had to subscribe for the detail of this video and the fact you put together a build I will be using this exact case for.
Bigger cases rules! 💪😍
Thats a HUGGGEEEEE case. looks really cool. Thank you for the video
Thanks for this cris helped me a lot
Such cases attracted me to pc gaming, now I'm in love with matx compact cases 🙃.. don't mind seeing huge cases, I guess they are loved out there
only two type of people buy tiny PC cases..those who never intend to work on their PC and those who hate themselves
Une excellente prestation claire et bien expliquer c'est rare Merci encore
I love that case. I think I'm gonna have to buy it.
Great job!
always spot on !!!!
Thanks
I was able to set up my own pc thanks to the video. Great work. I used arctic 420mm on top. CPU cables are so rigid, cables touching to fans on top. May I use 8 pin cables for MB Cpu connection which are coming in hyperion box? Thanks
I'm currently doing my first build ever and it's with this mobo and case along with the 4090 matrix. I hate that only one usb c port will be working and the other one not 😂 tysm for the video I was hard stuck at the psu wires. I also learned from you what those 'combs' are for 👍
A top-tier build from a top-tier builder. I'm in two minds about the case; on the inside it feels practical and looks great, but that external design is not to my taste at all. So it goes. That AIO on the other hand (even at 450 GBP) looks like the kind of present you'ld love to receive - or give yourself if needed. Thanks again.
Yes, the AIO is great only thing not to like is the price
Bonsoir.
(MSI Z790 Tomahawk ddr5 wifi).
Cordialement,
I hesitate a bit between this and a Fractal Design Define 7 XL
If you had to decide between ROG Hyperion GR701 and the Cooler Master HAF 700 EVO which one would you pick as your personal case?
Is it possible to do a push pull configuration for the cooler in this case with an atx mobo? Will there be enough clearance at the top. The case's manual says it has 70mm clearance for the cooler but it doesn't say the clearance is for atx or e-atx mobo. I'm confused.
Fantastic case with which I have to say very well.
The only complaint is that there is a little too much plastic on the top and especially on the front part of the case which produces a little too much creaking during hot-cold transitions.
For a case at this price level it is a bit annoying.
I came from a Cooler Master COSMOS C700M which had a lot more plastic and where this problem was even more annoying and I had decided to change it for this reason.
I'm a little disappointed I must say, but only in this aspect, otherwise an excellent case.
any riser cable recommendations that comes with screws? i found a cooler master but in unboxing videos there was no screws included
Got my Evangelion case for $600. I shouldn't worship Eva like that.
Damn I paid 850😢
@@izabellaparnell5454 I got it from Asus website, but Amazon selling the same price. I guess you got it from reseller?
As we talking about EVA 02 got it for £150 benefits of partnership with ASUS ;)
@@maskedkitsune9774 That is cheaper than the normal Hyperion. The cheapest Hyperion is like $399-$450.
@@izabellaparnell5454mine was 500$
How good is the airflow in the case ? Better then the corsair 7000d
Would you be able to show what connected to the rgb control board? Does it take power directly from the power supply or via the main board?
Hello, as a master of this matter, I would like to ask you if you can recommend which case is better with a liquid cooling system from this comparison, asus rog hyperion gr701 or COSMOS C700M and with what capabilities and why?🤔
Great video superb description 👌 a great watch I have a similar build. Watching your video just assured me I connected everything correctly...debating if I will get that same case.

muchas gracias video super bueno, al ver este video compre los mismos componentes pero ahora no puedo armar mi ordenador, de todas maneras muchas gracias
Hi, thanks for this video, I recently bought this case, and it's amazing, but there is something weird on it.
I don't have the wires for power button, reset, led etc... like you have in the video, I have a F_PANEL wire instead, wich I plugged in the same position of those wires, I still cannot test it because I'm still waiting for my PS Unit.
another wierd thing I have is a sata cable comming from the front panel.
I'd appreciate if you can share your thoughts on it
Hello. please tell me, they say a very loud pump and very noisy cooling ASUS ROG RYUJIN III 360, is this true for you? Thank you
Is the aRGB working on your case fans? My case isn't showing in Amory Crate app...
What are the ports and what cables do I use to plug into the ports on the ARGB fan hub right above the capacitors?
Where does the side fan gets air from if the side panel is closed?
What a great video. I build my 1st pc following this video step y step. I have pretty much the same components you have with the exception of the motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX Z790 E GAMING WIFI II. I don't know what I did wrong but I can't control the fan speed of the AIO (ASUS ROG RYUJIN III 360 ARGB CPU Cooler) and it's stuck at +3000RPMs. Can't control on either BIOS (fan curve) or Armour Crate. Any help would be great :)
Hey Christopher, my LED doesn't seem to be working. I'm using ASUS ROG Crosshair 670E Hero for the motherboard, the LED button is not working and the Aura RGB effects are not switching on.
Nice build. Christopher i have a general question please. I use 2 sticks of 32hb memory trident z. When i put them in slots 2 and 4 on mb, i cannot change the xmp in bios. When i put them in slots 1 and 3 , then i can change the xmp to max. Is it ok to keep them in 1 and 3. Im still running dual channel that way right? Thanks.
Was your model of G.Skill RAM listed in the QVL section of your motherboard manufacturer?
With the RAM in slots 1 and 3 it probably won't be running at it's highest frequency. Most motherboards are optimized for 2 modules with slots 2 and 4.
question here: how do you connect the ssd on the side plate?
Hi Christopher i just finished my first Build with this Case and none of the Led lights on the Case are working i put a Asus Prime z790 P wifi D4 MB in it, the Cable inside the Case that says Board ARGB is damaged because my buddy who helped me put everything together accidently put a screw through it and damaged the Cable now he is saying that none of the Case LEDs are working because i dont have a ROG MB in it. Is he right?
Do you like this better then the NV7?
can the hard drive cages be repositioned?
Cant wait to buy the lianli evo XL.
I don't suppose you know or you might not even respond, but do I need the LGA 1700 backplate for the cooler? I bought mine used and the backplate was the only missing part :'( Any suggestions would really help and be super appreciated
So basically if I use a pcie 5.0 ssd in the first slot there is no gpu limitations?
for some reason armoury crate only detect Chasis fan 2 , why is that? it won't let me change the fan speed for each individual fan
Hello! The problem is this.
The cooling system (ROG Ryujin III ARGB) has only one connector from three fans to connect to the motherboard (ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 DARK HERO). The load of one fan is 0.35A. This results in a total load of 1.05A.
According to the motherboard specification, the load for the CPU_FAN connector is 1A.
Question: is it possible to connect the power connector for the fans of this cooling directly to the connector on the motherboard?
Where are the three sata cables coming from I’m so confused I’m sorry one from case and the others from where are any connected to mother board
15:45 For this motherboard that you are using, does this mean that only 1 of the Front panel USB-type C port will be operational and not the other?
Same question. I only have 1 usb3 and 1 usb-c in the motherboard. All left frontal ports of the case are useless.
Does it come with a goblin that carries it around for you?
Could do with one, pulled my shoulder turning it round for the shots. It's heavy empty, once full take care
I have a question, which the max capacity of hdd or units of storage that can put whiout remove the panel arg? Anybody knows, when compared to helios. Does vertical mounting GPU in Hyperion have enough clearance between side glass and GPU for airflow?
Yes!
Having some issues with this cases built in rgb if anyone can help. I have a ryujin 360 rgb aio as well. So the ryujin I noticed is linked with the case rgb but both the case rgb and ryujin 360 do not show up in aura sync . Is there a way to connect this case/ ryujin 360 to aura sync? Unfortunately with this issue I have to use aura sync within armory crate for all my other components and the AIO and case and are controlled via the rgb button in this video. Any help getting the case and AIO linked on aura sync would be appreciated!
Why didnt you get the rog power supply
Why didnt i find this guide earlier. Im going insane trying to build the damn eva02 set up. Now i have done almost everything wrong and got some scratches…. i just wanna kms.
the thing i have a problem with on this case is the side doors when shut there is a 2 mm gap from panel and the door if you spill something in there you components are exposed this is not a good design, the whole point of a case is to protect the internals from damage and the element's
so HAF 700 or Asus better case?
You forgot to tell that it has space between door that will cause dust build inside frequently
Yes
Hoy much does the build cost?
One question: im buying this case with rog strix 4080 oc and intel i9 14900k what motherboard should i buy? I wanted to get z790 dark hero is there a cheaper option?
Rog Strix Z790-H Gaming
I recently completed a build with this Hyperion ROG case and a large E-ATX board (X670E Aorus Extreme)
This step-by-step guide was essential to my build as the Hyperion is an odd case and has many strange issues - none are dealer killers but its got its issues
What issues?
Couldn't find where ASUS offers a clear glass option...anyone else know?
Ay no, por q le vas a colocar un Intel core i7 decima tercera generacion en lugar de colocar un Intel core i9
The hyperion is no were near your Coolermaster Haf EVO. Love that ryujin 3 but fck price of 400 pounds LOL.
Still haven't found anything to beat the HAF 700 EVO, think it's going to be on my desk for a while
@@ChristopherFlannigan is the ryuijn III better than ryuo III?
I have the HAF 700 beserker, the rgb controller wire broke in back. The only thing I like over the cm haf700, is being able to see the thro 1200p2 lcd.
That case is really difficult to build with and you need a special screwdriver to screw your gpu
Mini itx build win every battle. No one now want a case like a small room for a dog
Show me a mini-ITX system where you can get the temps I did with this hardware. Also it wouldn't look great on the desk behind me in a TH-cam video. But agreed I'm not the average user.
@@ChristopherFlannigan lian li o11 mini.
Mini itx systems=toaster
@@kendallquirostyrken7339 absolutely fake, mini-itx temperatures with good assembly and components are the same on bigger box with 20 fan for moving same air on itx system with small space
You look like dimitri rascalov form gta 4
who would need such a huge case these days?
Nobody needs one, but some people like me like them. I can't understand why people squeeze all their components into those small ITX cases when they have the space for a bigger build, so each to their own.
Waiting mine to be arrive, i treat it as 1 of my collection. Pair with i7 13700 + Noctua nh-15 haha
Not everyone needs an AIO but every person has them.
E-ATX users.
16:40 why do this?
Spread the power over multiple cables so less risk of fire. Most 12VHPWR adaptors will mention this in the instructions
kindly suggests you to label those thing you WONT do in your build next time..
seems a lot like the c700p
It does a bit
Why be quiet psu and not Thor ?
this case looks like out of 2005.
If rog sell those fans :(
Looks problematic for dust proof....
HA!!!! The kickstand is just the dumbest! It has the panel on its side which would detroy our OCD, which I know most of us pc gamers have!
There is not one reason for this case to cost 450.00 USD. There is absolutely no innovation included.
Step 1 sell your friends
Anyone paid 450 to 500 for this yet?
The more Asus parts the les components that have warranty 🤡
They have very good warranties. I think that AIO has a 7 year warranty, the motherboard is 3.
Mai amețit nene atâta vorbesti
This case is ugly and horrible for air flow.
I think people should get fined for putting an AIO in it.
A bit too overengineered for my liking. Also, lots of un-necessary panels and extra styling making it look like the old cheap gaming cases from 8 years ago.
Then theres the price.. No thank you!
Good to have the choice
terrible looking case, way too big and heavy
I like the looks apart for TG panels
Asus is a NO for me
sorry im living under a rock, can you pls explain why?
Good 4 u? The rest of us here give a fuck what you think.
@@edwardjackson2567That was resolved months ago. Just update the BIOS. And they clarified the warranty situation.
Nah
*H E L P ! ! ! ! ! !*
*So, I need a motherboard with TWO sets of both USB-A and USB-C onboard headers to connect all the front ports of the case?*
Soooo inexperienced clueless mom ordered this case thinking it was a pc ..
We have a basic dell pc would we be able to build that into this while we build into it overtime?
Really nice step by step and you are the best when it comes to nailing all details about a case! I really like the look of this case, best one yet from ASUS and it sure is big and roomy! But in my humble opinion there is some downsides to this case. Considering the price I think it is cheap by ASUS not to include RGB fans in this case. I think most people buying a case like this want those RGB fans which they now have to pay extra for, the manufacturer can always include such things cheaper then then the customer can buy them for, ASUS probably could have included them for just $20-$25 extra which most customers would have happily paid at this price level. The included screw driver is not long enough to be used for screwing in the GPU at the bracket. Since the customer then must bring his/her own tool in the mix it makes that included screwdriver a bit gimmicky. I think that if a tool is included like that you should be able to complete the build with it! It is also worth notice that the holes you have to put your screw driver trough to reach the brackets are to narrow for many screwdrivers with bits in them such as the now famous LTT screwdriver. You need to use a regular traditional screwdriver with this case. Considering the dark tint on the windows you need a powerful front top and bottom mounted LED strip to light up the interior in order to see inside properly but no such strip is included with the case which is another expense you need to make. Also those magnets holding the doors are a bit on the weak side so come open very easy if you bump into the case and ASUS offer no optional security screws to hold those glass panels in place during transport/movement of the case. Other dumb things about this case is the fact you can not get proper access to the PSU either from the back or the rear of the case. This makes it bad in case you have a open loop water cooling solution, you might have to take that apart just to get proper access to the PSU and that is a dumb solution. I also read that if you front mount a large radiator with fans you might also need to remove that RGB side plate since it gets in the way of the rad. Also it is a bit silly that you are completely dependent on that HDD cage to keep that "drug stash" storage box in place! Speaking of HDD cage. It is really bad that such a HUGE case can only offer room for 2 of those 3.5" drives, very silly. Compared to the Cooler Master HAF700 EVO case this case have a lot of short comings, in general the HAF have much more innovative solutions and you get more for your money. So that would be my choice in this price and size class.
