Great step by step instructions! Mine is bolted to my deck. I was about to start researching companies to remove it for me but after watching your video and seeing that I have all of the tools you mentioned, I got this!!❤
Enjoyed your video. I have a similar setup. I know that I can remove it myself. Do you know if there is any voltage or live wires that I need to deal with? That is something I know nothing about and is a concern. TIA. 🙂
I took off the LNB at @8:45. It was as simple as loosening the lever and disconnecting the coax cable. Yours will be similar. It might not have a lever/handle to loosen but instead might be build into the arm or bolted on. Either way, you may just need to look down the arm to find where it connects.
Hi, thanks for your video. My Satellite Dish is outside, cemented down, and I see no splitters. The wiring goes to a box. Can you explain the removal steps?
Where does the coax cable go from your dish? If it goes to a box, you should be able to remove it from there. Some companies just house all their wires in a box where as mine was just screwed onto the stucco
For most companies, the satellite dish is property of the homeowner so no, no one from the company will remove or dispose of it. It’s the homeowner’s responsibility

You should be able to cut the coax cable as it’s considered low voltage. If you’re concerned about it, you can always disconnect both ends and cut it.
Thanks for watching!
How to attach a wood bird house to a old dish pole
I like your thinking! Off the top of my head, I'd just purchase a pole clamp and affix a piece of wood (or the birdhouse) directly to that. Boom!
Great tutorial! Very helpful!
You’re welcome!!
How do I remove the LMV ? I am leaving the dish up to paint it?
Thanks for your help.

Once services are canceled, the Directv should be responsible for removing the Satellite Dish and disposing of the remaining items….
