    I have a cheap set of scribing tools and I found them great for armor separation. I knew they could break, but I went slow and managed to save both halves of the part

    I have never even thought of these tools as I mainly do 40k scale minis so not much call for this. However I did just get given a Revell Spitfire kit that I thought was to be frank a little plain and something like this could add a lot of detail I am now far more interested in doing this model kit thanks for the inspiration!

    Great stuff Nico! thanks for all the lessons! Where did you get your transparent storage drawer from? :)

      Thank you! The drawers as far as I remember are from Daiso or Japan Homes, you can find a lot of similar ones, coz this is a makeup organizer actually

    @nicosuratos when you are scribing, is there a difference to the result of the panel line as to whether you scribe straight up and down, or at an angle? should the scribe tool be held straight up/perpendicular to the part?

    • @NicoSuratos
      @NicoSuratos  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When it comes to scribing, holding the scriber straight up and down (perpendicular) is generally recommended for creating cleaner panel lines with consistent depths. This technique ensures that each line is evenly spaced with consistent depths along its length.
      Scribing at an angle can sometimes result in uneven or inconsistent panel lines, as the angle can cause the scriber to dig in deeper in some areas and not as deeply in others. This can result in lines that are too deep in some places and too shallow in others, which can be unsightly and affect the overall appearance of the model or part being scribed.
      There are times when you have to hold the scriber at an angle though, like when creating notches or scribing a round/curve line or turning a corner but otherwise, holding it straight up and down is the better way

    May I know what you usually use? Is it 0.1mm or 0.15mm? Thanks!

      @NicoSuratos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      0.15mm, nowadays I also like 0.125mm

    hi! what sizes o scribbers would you recommend for a 1/144 build?

    • @NicoSuratos
      @NicoSuratos  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      0.15 and 0.2mm, some older HG kits have wider lines, so you’ll fine that using a 0.2 works better, while some newer hgs have 0.15 lines
