Hi. Thank you for the video. Try BLACK PUTTY WITH ACTIVATOR U-STAR MODEL. liquid putty. after hardening, it has the properties of plastic. ready for processing in five minutes
Thanks much for the excellent tutorial, signore. I'm always jumpy at the thought of scribing and riveting my models, but you taught me new techniques and methods. Happy and grateful modeler here ♥ 👍
Excellent tutorial, Metodi. As with others you have shared, this one is absolutely full of tips and techniques to assist with missing or misaligned panel lines. Thank you!
Really good tutorial! I find a quick panel line wash after scribing helps show where I’ve scribed, prior to the riveting. Keep up the good work with these videos!
That was a excellent video lesson, I have a italieari C130J with raised panel linex and this will help a lot, hope you are keeping safe and well, best regards from Australia.
Fantastic tutorial, I hope it gets many, many views. I really love how you created a template for difficult areas. I have an Airfix 1/72 Chipmunk and a Lynx to rescribe. Thanks for this, Ian
Very informative. I need to buy some good scribers. I only have the bog Tamoya one and I am doing more harm than good with it. I ruined the trunk on my 67 Corvette with it. The round corner is damaged with my fumbling and the big Tamiya scriber. All Ive done is make more work for myself.
It really is. Im not certain what its designed use truly is. It made scribingba chore I did not look forward to. I went back to the back of my knife and foumd that infinitly better immediately. Ill get a couple you suggest and try with those. Thank you for the time you took to male this.
I tried to scribe the raised panel line, but the result is I created too wide panel line like Matchbox‘s kits. Thank you for your video. I believe if I can overcome this challenge,I will improve my skills on building models.
Do you have the link for the Tamiya fine saw blade you have loaded into the hobby knife looking handle? I clicked the link in your description for the "Tamiya fine craft saws" but it goes to a Hasegawa template instead.
They are hard to find and usually expensive. Here is one option i found with some googling: www.internationalviolin.com/ProductDetail/t9702_flexible-steel-rule-200mm
Thanks for the tutorial. I am scared when it comes to scribe my models. I have screw up many times to the point of deciding not to scribe them. I will gather the tools and give it a try again 🙋
I am thinking of buying some myself. My dentist is very confused when I start asking questions about his tools... probably thinks that I intent doing the work myself :)
I think it depends on the scale and the model. Jet panel lines don't show much in reality, and most 1/48th scale panel lines are crazy big and out of scale anyway.

@@MMScaleModels Any time, thank you!
Hello! How do I determine what size scriber blade to use for different scale models?
The thinner the better IMO
Thanks for the vid, Squidward.
Great information and tips. Thanks mate 😉
Thanks for watching mate 👍
What scriber are you using at 3:33? Is it one you've provided a link for?
That is MRP scriber
Great video. I know you posted links for the Tamiya scribes, but who’s black scriber were you using.
MRP but they were not available on amazon at the time (don't know currently)
@@MMScaleModels I found it here

I need a technique to drill a centred hole in a < 1mm piece of plastic rod to simulate a gun barrel?
Really helpful. I need to get one of those flexy rulers :)
Glad that the video is helpful, cheers 👍
Where did you get the steel ruler?
I tried to scribe the raised panel line, but the result is I created too wide panel line like Matchbox‘s kits.
Thank you for your video. I believe if I can overcome this challenge,I will improve my skills on building models.
Using a fine scriber is key. And experience too... correct pressure on the tool is very much up to muscle memory
Can you please explain, what happens after you run the Cement s over the lines, does the glue leave a mess, do you need to sand after ?
If you are careful with the application all the glue does is to melt the dust and leave cleaner panel lines... and a bit shinier surface.
Do you have the link for the Tamiya fine saw blade you have loaded into the hobby knife looking handle? I clicked the link in your description for the "Tamiya fine craft saws" but it goes to a Hasegawa template instead.
sorry about that, here is another link www.amazon.com/shop/mmscalemodels?listId=15KG8UBCNFFC9&ref=inf_list_own_mmscalemodels_cp
Which kind of metal ruler is so flexible? omg... mine are all stubborn af
They are hard to find and usually expensive. Here is one option i found with some googling: www.internationalviolin.com/ProductDetail/t9702_flexible-steel-rule-200mm
@@MMScaleModels thank you! price seems fine if it's that nice to use!
@@EdgeR2 This one has ok price, the others I found were in the 60$ range 😄

Thanks for the tutorial. I am scared when it comes to scribe my models. I have screw up many times to the point of deciding not to scribe them. I will gather the tools and give it a try again 🙋
Thanks for watching mate, mistakes are inevitable. Only thing we can do is to overcome them.
I use my wife's old dental tools they come in all different shapes and sizes
I am thinking of buying some myself. My dentist is very confused when I start asking questions about his tools... probably thinks that I intent doing the work myself :)
I think it depends on the scale and the model. Jet panel lines don't show much in reality, and most 1/48th scale panel lines are crazy big and out of scale anyway.
One day man will invent telescopes that can see atoms
I hope I will never use one for modelling :)
It would be good if I could understand what you’re saying it’s like you have a sock in your mouth .
