My last transmission was a fresh build when I got the truck me being a dummy backed a trailer up a very steep drive way and put a tiny crack right on the flat part on the back of the transmission it was so odd because you couldn’t see it but you would see bubbling from the trans fluid coming out the back. Is there a way you check for cracks on cores or is it just a crab shoot
Sorry so late getting back. This comment was not popping up on my dashboard for some reason. I check every core that comes in for cracks before I accept them. If it is cracked in any way it is not usable. But if installed in a truck, you can sometimes find them just by looking for oil stains, dirty spots, discoloration.
