    Lots of "stuff" under the hood in modern cars. Take me back to the 70s & 80s please... Good on you, Ziggy.

      Thanks George...There's no fun in repairs on modern vehicles and that's a shame.

    Nice work ZIG and I agree that it doesn't hurt at all to add some Permatex sealant on the gasket for sealing. Especially after you had to go though this once before. Cheers

      Seems when I don't is when I get bit. Cheers mate.

    Good job
    I used to use and I still do use this stuff called Loctite No 3
    white bottle with a red cap
    It’s also pretty good for radiator inlets and outlets water pump Connection to the radiator hose never let me down so I’ve never changed......
    I notice you’re using the Milwaukee fuel range too
    I’ve got the 12V series as a DIYer their gear is really good these days used to be junk but they have really lifted their game

    yeh i was told the black stuff on the gasket is sealant. my grandfather a HD diesel mechanic swore by that black/brown sticky stuff , i used it in the 80's but got tired of trying to wash it off my hands and everything else. yet now i use it again.

    Hi love the video... question do you know that if a balancing cam timing chain breaks are these engines an anti-foul engine? would there be by any chance any further damage to say the valves?

      Yes and yes...Cheers mate.

    with that many bolts and them being that tight, I don't see how the gasket could possibly leak.

    @ZIGgassedUP does the camshaft/valve cover need to be removed to replace the the vacuum pump and did you also use the grey sensor safe sensor silicone in install?

    • @ziggassedup
      @ziggassedup  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes to the sensor safe grey and no for the vacuum pump but I did take the plenum off to give more access.

      Cheers G Man...I've seen enough I Load and I Max engine issues to put them on the "Don't Touch" list...Part 2 ended like this...I was given the incorrect head gasket and so it came off again...Then it blew a hose on the freeway and the guy kept driving it and cracked a ring....Horrible mess...Heaps of crankcase blow by and this has less than 160,000kms on it.!!.No follow up sorry...Have a goodie.
