the menu is really comprehensive. but i reckon that it'll take some times to get used to these settings as they are a little bit confusing in the first place. nice video by the way :D
Great vlog buddy , I think I got it all, but we shall see ... How about a Motorrad app vlog showing us how to use that proberly? Has this bike got a usb port to charge a phone ?
Great review.. can I ask if you are in dynamic mode can you adjust the wheelie TC settings or are they set. Also rain mode can you go into it to adjust if you dont like the setting. The reason I ask is I am not sure if I would need the race pro mode for the street. Also if you set race pro mode up does it save .if so for how long.? An you adjust the settings for race more. Ie abs. Wheelie? Which mode do you use on the street and why.. Sorry for all the questions
It is disappointing that the much of the configurability is limited to the race modes, and the race mode turns off the phone connection/integration. There are many configuration settings you want to implement for street riding while preserving the phone integration. Does the TPS provide any display of tire temperature? If not, this is disappointing. Tire temp is among the most important metrics and I believe most sensors transmit this along with the pressure. Does the BMW Motorrad app allow you to make configuration settings offline, store them on the phone, and load them to the bike? This would be a nice and seemingly simple feature. I hope that BMW provides software updates with these types of improvements. I pick my new RR up in a couple of weeks.
I’m guessing when you select race mode pro it still allows you to select race from the preset modes???? So it allows you Race, Race pro 1,2,3. Is that correct?
I hate lap timers too...but apparently my hand likes them because every time I get up the mountain, my lean angle sensor has been replaced by a lap timer. I wish you had talked about the lap timers, because the only reason I watched the video was to figure out how to stop doing this
I‘ve seen that the brightness of the display changes dynamically depending on daylight. Is it possible to switch off this dynamic brightness adjustment? Thank you!
The higher the number the more the traction control intervenes (DTC) which means it kills power so you don't highside if you spin the wheel in a turn...basically
@Daot888 that is something you have to play with, everyone is different and your skill level, the road condition, etc. Plays into what settings to use.
this bike is a track-oriented bike. not good on the road. too heavy and bulky for canyon carving or in twisties. The engine rattles too much compared to my 2017 Fireblade and runs hotter making u-turns and slow maneuvers are much harder compared to my Fireblade too so it is not an agile bike. can be a weapon on the track but not a good option on the road. I don't mean it is a bad bike but there is too much hype around it. ride it for enough time before buying it. In Australia, BMW doesn't provide any demo bikes so I had to sell it before riding it and it was big big mistake.
Was gonna buy a Panigale V4 2019 but I feel in love with the S1000RR thanks wonderful video man.
It means "stick with race pro mode." Well, I guess that's why bmw sells race pro mode as an addtional option for a normal one(not m one).
Definitely the best looking instrument cluster on any bike !!!

How do you engage the pit lane limiter and the launch control. Assuming you need to be in pro race mode first.
Thank you 🙏🏽
Thanks for watching 🙏

you dont believe in lap timers. Elaborate, what does that even mean?
@@CaliMotoTV while I agree I'd argue a novice rider shouldn't be riding a top of the range 1000cc motorcycle either
