On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

Still watchin'. (11:46)
The new grey out effect looks really good, however, I'll tell you from experience, the tunnel vision effect is the most dramatic and noticeable thing when pulling Gs. You might not like how it interferes with the gameplay, (I don't like how it can interfere with flying) but it'd be nice to see that represented well too.
I watch your whole video every time
11:50 and still watching.
I believe I've watched every one of your videos through to the end, I find them extremely entertaining.
15 -18 mins for one of your video's is extremally watchable.
I’d watch hours of gameplay with ease.
I second that. Big fan of your videos. It’s like therapy
more revenue for him, 100% support that. DESERVES every single cent, amazing Channel.
Even 19-25 could work, maybe not all the times but watchable
this, always watch all the way.
GS says, "sound off for longer video." Finishes fight in 2 min.
well he flew aggressive alright
F16 doing F16 stuff...
Longer videos, please.
Sacrificial pilots must agree, though. haha
I remember an interview with a real fighter pilot who said that you should never get so close to another plane that you're shooting at or you will frag yourself.
Yes, this is accurate.
@@GrowlingSidewinder Have you ever been damaged by debris from a plane you shot at?
@@basicforge One of his Me-262 videos has him get too close and he got hit with debris from his target (I think it was a Mosquito).
You ever see a pilot barely make it out in time only to land on his burning plane?
@@RaderizDorretI believe that was in Il-2: Great Battles.
I’m writing on behalf of my 6-year old son (Gustavo), who is Brazilian and fluent in English. He watches all of your videos all the time, to the point that he’s gotten really well informed about airplanes, weapon details and air battle maneuvers.
He’s been asking if perhaps you could make a video with a Brazilian Air Force airplane (we have tucano, Mirage, A1, Gripen and F5). It’d also be really nice if you could say “hi” to him sometime! Thank you so much and congratulations on your channel!
Hello, I’ll certainly put it in the pipeline please pass my thanks and hello onto Gustavo for his support of the channel from such a young age. Thank you both, much love from Canada.
Gripen is an amazing small platform and a highly capable dogfighter.
It‘s quite interesting to see GS using stealth belts in his gun… I didn’t even know that was an option in DCS, but at 8:06 there’s clearly no tracers. Fun little detail!
Noticed that too
íts the default loadout for the F-16
F-16s are not normally loaded with tracer ammunition.
I thought the tracers were just so you could see the rounds.
@@josebrown5961 they are :))
You know what else causes blackout? Merging with a curtain of 20mm HE shells.
mfw the bandit goes head on with a fat burst of vulcan instead of going 1 circle merge (kinda rude)
The longer videos are always appreciated.
In all seriousness, I gotta thank you GS for providing all this amazing content. And fueling my never ending conflict of whether or not I wanna be an actual pilot or spend thousands transforming my room into a cockpit for DCS. And yes, I watched till the very end. But thanks man. You continue to deliver with these videos. Also.... Uh... Su-47 gameplay when?
Hello, thank you very much very generous of you, if you ever transform that whole room into a DCS cockpit be sure to send me a pic lol, Hoping for su47 content soon, we must wait and see what the future has in store…but me thinks good things are coming.
@@GrowlingSidewinder "me thinks" is such an underrated term
@@GrowlingSidewinderOh I will definitely send you a pic if I ever do it lmao
You should do Dogfights, but with the same plane. That way it is really dependent on the skill of the pilot and the maneuvers they use rather than one aircraft outperforming the other in certain situations. I think that could be quite interesting and thrilling to watch!
the dogfights last a very long time normally since everybody in GS' dogfight videos are highly skilled and experienced DCS players.
I prefer different planes. That way it really depends on how well the pilot can use what he's got, rather than both doing the same thing
The whole point of dogfights are to use your plane how it likes to be used. Having two of the same plane makes the two players do the same thing over and over. You could argue it promotes skill but I think learning your craft is more skillful.
I get your meaning, but GS is more of a collaborator and isn’t here to show people up. He tries to give each video a theme or demonstrate a particular feature without making his collaborators feel inferior.
I haven't ever left before the end of your videos. They're always filled with great content and edited so well - especially the replays. The Tacview is seldom necessary due to how well you explain the situation via narration and subtitles during your missions. Plus, the "end-zone celebratory dance" with the music is always good for a grin and a chuckle.
Thank you very much for your generosity, and also for your very kind comment, thank you, reading comments like this gives me the motivation to make more videos, Much Love.
Watched the entire video. The F-16 has become my favorite 4th Gen fighter since I started watching you display the aircraft's dominance in the dogfight. Keep up the awesome work!
Great video! The F-16 really needed this, the whole purpose of it's reclined seat is so the pilot has more G-tolerance!
The real purpose of the reclined seat is to make it fit inside the low cockpit. The slight advantage it gives to g-tolerance, which isn't that much, is a side-effect.
I heard this from some pilot interview.
@@audunskilbrei8279 thats interesting!
Round 1 kill you could have lit your cig if the cockpit opened up. Round 3 was very impressive fight intelligence. Well done.
I got the privilege to watch the thunderbirds at their latest show in San Antonio, and man, the F-16 is a beast. Crazy think about how old this machine is :)
I saw them at the California capital airshow at the end of last summer, and it was amazing. Crazy pilots for sure.
Watched the third round. Definitely enjoy this video length. Tbh though I wouldn’t care if they were longer. I watch everything I can. I love your talk throughs of the tactics you employ. You’re one of the very few people I follow that I never get tired of watching and I always look forward to your vids. Thanks man. Keep up the awesomeness.
0:52 I love the way you can see the "aviator's rainbow" on the top of the cloud. I saw that on my first flight in a De Havilland T Mk10 "Chipmunk" in 1987.
I’ve been watching your videos for quite a while and I really enjoy the longer videos! Great fights!
Bro wake up GrowlingSidewinder has posted!
The length of videos doesn't matter when the content is this good.
15-20 mins is a perfect amount of time for one of your videos. But in all honesty I’ll watch any of yours no matter the length lol. The amount of cinematography, editing, and overall production quality is amazing. Not to mention your dcs skillz. Keep up the awesome work GS!
Still watching. Funny thing is before I saw your videos I thought nothing of the F-16. Didn't like the way it looks. Now I love it. Its an amazing machine and like to see any video with it.
Not sure what to think of the new mechanics, but the Viper's flight model is fried.
Is it too good?
Fried? How so?
iirc it still gets outrated by the Hornet and some other aircraft (which is really funny...)
I'm always here to the end. Great stuff as always. I would like to see an a-10 vs f-16 battle. You did the video that had the image of an a-10 with an f-22 kill. That a-10 also had an f-16 kill and it would be interesting to see how that would play out in DCS.
Keep up with the great stuff!
GS. I just wanted to say. You are my go-to channel when I just want to chill. Your videos are very entertaining and I enjoy your personality. You’re really knowledgeable on this stuff and also very calm and your videos are just really chill. Never stop ❤
Thank you for this great comment, I appreciate you very much and very happy to be part of your chill out channels, Much Love.
I love your longer (15-20) minute videos, especially when they’re dogfight videos
Yep, still watching till the end. Wouldn’t have subscribed if I don’t watch it all.
Appreciate the variety in your vids. Love the "Operations/missions", the BVR, the Dogfights, and "challenges such as running from foxbat missiles ect. Excellent array of content. Longer is usually better!
God damn that effect is near perfect. I've had the same for non-G reasons and it's real close to the early stages. I'd change a few things late into the effect but it's real close. Then the audio changes, it can't really change your ability to focus or think like reality has. Otherwise it's finally the very first simulation of GLOC I'd consider spot on. It's been a long time across the various sims but they absolutely nailed it out of nowhere.
glad your doing more upclose dogfights, nothing else like seeing rounds connect just metres away from your cannon
I totally like the longer videos! I could watch a 30 minute video from you. Also, I like how aggressive you got in the third round. It reminds me of the video you did versus a real fighter pilot and how aggressive he got.
That pilot sniping is terrifying to think about but probably happens all the time in aerial combat 😢 thanks for your services guys, all fighter pilots around the world
I did a couple of hours today in VR with the F-16, the new G-effect is great. I never miss any of your videos, great job.
Still here at 12 mins. More than happy to watch the tactics and you pushing any aircraft to its limit
I always watch till the end no matter the length of the video while trying to learn as much as possible. The longer the video, the more available to learn and put in my roledex to put towards future use.
Of course we're still watching! It's hella interesting, start to finish!
Between the Hornet FM update and this. BFM just became a whole lot more difficult, the balance between low speed high alpha and high speed rate is going to be a tightrope in future
“Up close and personal”
GS playing with his food 😂
GS you took off his left wng and both engines in the first round, mind you that iz a F15 Charlie, you a Beast, just giving honest credit where Due my Brother in Arms!!!!
15-20 mins is a great video length for pure dogfight videos like this in my opinion.
I watch the whole way through not only for the analysis and play by play commentary but for that dry humor. "...evident by that crater in the ground over there" XD
Now, more A-10 vids!!! ;)
1:51 that was a pretty good move from the Eagle there
I watched the full vid, definitely not too long. These dogfight vids keep me more engaged than most of the bvr and bombing missions do. All are great tho. Keep it up.
I can’t get enough of the multi-part missions; some mix of air/air & air-to-ground is *chef’s kiss*
I actually remember, just barely when the YF16 and YF17 were still under contract development, they were in Australian media as discussions of which should be adopted by the RAF for a future Mirage III-0 replacement were already underway and it was back when we were still buying F-111s, which we fitted with Vulcans for secondary use as fighters (offshore range capabilities). Gun-fighting was still a real thing in fighters, it's true what you say the F16 being designed to be the ultimate of the breed. The F17 was being promoted as the tech marvel to the F16 dogfight supremacy. The Northrop had the glass pit and processors, but the General Dynamics had the G-seat, super-bubble and sidestick.
I'm liking the new G-lock effects ;)
Three rounds or ~15 minutes is the sweet spot I think. Then again I regularly watch videos that are 45 minutes to an hour long.
Big fan of the longer videos, the best of three format.
Of course we are watching. I have watched your every video for the past few years from the beginning to the last second. Much love from Finland
7:20 This sight picture with the close ground moving up but also the far ground down is so dizzying. Feels like inception
still watching and that last kill was a beautiful example of a plane designed to be a pure dog fighter.
I always watch the whole thing, even the tactical review whenever you do those.
Still watching. Always worth watching til the end. Thanks for the outstanding content.
It actually doesnt matter what kind of video I do watch them all completely. I've learned so much from you and your videos and I am very thankful for that. Also the soundtrack at the end of the video is so awesome I nearly always turn my volume and bass up :D P.S.: I'd absolutely love to see more Eurofighter dogfight videos or basically any deltawing. Thank you buddy!
Yes, I'm still watching! :) You're videos are superbly well-made, very filmographic, so they are addictive and I think that the longer time-span is probably worth the additional effort in production. Having said that, I must admit that jet-fighters and the details of air-combat strategy are not my particular interest, so I'm not a channel regular, sadly. But you deserve every bit of credit and I thank you for the entertainment you provide -- also to me.
Sound off, always here for the entire thing. Off the top of my head, we hadn’t seen the F-14 in a minute. A BVR/DF between it and the SU-27 sounds fun.
Sick gun kill at the end, couldn’t miss that
Yes still very happy to be watching the longer videos
Still watching @11:45. Love the longer dog fights.
I typically watch the full video when it is BFM, not BVR though very often unless it's an interesting scenario :) awesome video today!!
Always love the multi round dogfights the most!
Yup still watching. 15 min videos, especially when it's good content that's engaging to watch, as all your videos are, is easy to handle.
4:05 Your engine was almost running on an Eagle-rich mixture there for a moment.
Still watching. Love the longer dogfights!
Yes! I DO enjoy the longer video's. The update G effect was definitely worth the wait!! Thanks GS for the video!
Been here years and I still never get tired of your videos 🔥
Wanna see the F-16 XL
I’m always watching to the end. You are the reason I dropped 4k on my new dcs set up. I appreciate all the dog fights especially the new unofficial aircraft mods.
With how the paint could burn of your F-16 with that first kill, i wouldn't be surprised if the pilot flying would end up being called Scorch or something fire related
I always watch to the end. Just going into the third round now!
I appreciate you.
I don't care how long your videos are, I love watching.
I watch or listen to 3-4 hour podcasts so your 15 minute videos are just an appetizer for me.
The graying out in round 3 looked great!
I don’t think I’ve ever watched one of your videos and thought, “I wish this wasn’t so long” or “when will this end”. It’s almost always “dang, only three rounds?!”
Love the 3rd and 4th rounds with the dogfights
100% the longer videos are worth it!
Thanks for showing the round three.
I absolutely love the longer format content my man. Good stuff. Long interdictions with multi layered roles
11:44 Yes I am absolutely sill watching, and love the longer videos. Keep up the good work GS!
Will watch whatever length you decide to do, but will always enjoy a longer video. Thanks for the great content!
Longer GS vidz are always welcome 👍🏻
Of course still watchin. I could watch 2 hour long GS vids. Not kidding.
Things you never missed in DCS Growlin', Strafin', and Pullin'.
GS: "That's it. That's essentially what the F-16 was designed to be: the best gunslinger out there."
A-10 pilots everywhere: Hold my beer
Yes, sir, still with you. Never leave the video early, something suprising can happen.
Still watching champ. Love the longer videos man. Great vid as well.
appreciate you brother, much love.
@@GrowlingSidewinder thanks bro
I watch your videos 100% through every time. VEEEERY entertaining and informative
Definitely enjoy the longer videos especially when a mission is flown!
I actually prefer the longer videos! Around 20 mins is a great ratio for me.
Still watching at this point and would love longer videos !
Still watching. I love the f16 and the patient mindset
I always watch until the end. This is even more fun to watch after watching the Thunderbird's this past weekend.
No way I’m going anywhere. Your videos make my day better.
wishing for more F-14 content, You beating the SU-35 in BVR with the AIM-54 and defeating a F-22 in a dogfight with the F-14 stand out as highlights for me.
Love the longer fights! (people had long talked about G effects being disabled in your vids, will be interesting to see them from here on out)
Still gonna remind you it's Like video 8 /Day 30 of asking for some Hihg speed high altitude mig 31 foxhound action -
Col. Clarence "Bud" Anderson would be proud of that deflection shot.
Always happy to watch 3/3 on these. Was wondering in #2 if you were going to get mauled for ignoring a wounded Eagle -- almost.
I'm here till the end, I watch every second of every video, long or short; I find it's a great stress reliever. Keep up the good work.
I would love if your video were longer tbh! Now wanna fly the 16 after watching ths.
I don't care how long GS vids are. I watch to the end, then wish there was more.
