Having Mittens as an enemy, is better than having him as an ally. He's the epidome of a gutless, spineless, well he does have a spine of a jellyfish,if that counts, sleezy sellout Rino. He can't be trusted any further than a person can swim tied to a ship anchor. The only reason I voted for him was, he was running against a bigger snake in the grass, Obama.

As a US citizen who resides in the Midwest, I think Romney is a bona fide jacka$$. I consider myself to be a Republican, but I could not vote for either Romney or McCain for president. Of course, I didn't vote for the Democrat either. I voted for Ron Paul both times because I thought he was very likely the ONLY politician in Washington DC who wasn't a corrupt, putz.

The sheer number of American corporations that he has screwed over and destroyed, the number of workers that he has destroyed their jobs to fatten his pockets is disgusting to me. No it was people with small arms that repelled attacks. That's what they're afraid off, if the people have equal small arms they're fucked. We got 3 different wars to prove that. That is the TRUE enemy of a healthy Republic...politicians still trying to fund whatever the Pentagon says they "need". No, what they need is to stop starting wars ever 3-7 years, just to keep the budgets fully funded. That's bureaucracy GONE MAD, and NEITHER party is working on that. Trump was making an attempt...but the "deep state" clearly fought back against his presidency in 2020, pretty remarkable to see democracy COMPLETELY INTERRUPTED for 4 years. Biden has done NOTHING for 3+ years now at that's EXACTLY what the Deep State wants.

First, I'm about as flag waving a republican as you'll ever meet. I also have a very good knowledge of history.
We lost our Republic in the 1920s-1930s when
      1) the amendment to the constitution was added that removed how Senators were chosen (they used to be state appointed to look after state's interests at the federal level, and are now directly elected by the people from their states)
      and
      2) when the franchise was extended to all citizens rather than landed citizens.
Republics last because they isolate away citizens that don't understand the bigger issues driving government. Landed owners have a stake because they want to protect their businesses/homes and keep the economy running well. Allowing anyone to vote sounds fair, but guarantees exactly the type of insanity seen from historical full democracies (Athens is one of the models here). Many people don't have the sober judgement required to vote well. Fairness alone is no guarantor of good actions. Our current state of affairs looks unsurprisingly like the final years of Athens. It makes me VERY sad.
Sorry, there is no republic anymore. I WISH THERE WAS!

@@rbarnes4076 I always felt that after Calvin Coolidge, our government was beginning to take on more and more power. President Coolidge didn't do it of course, he was a very conservative President and it was during his presidency that for the only time in US history, we had all three conservative branches of government. Then of course, Americans went a little off the rails and voted in liberals. With FDR being a socialist, it didn't help us as he just kept empowering the government over us and yet the American people awarded him with four terms. Thanks for taking the time to post this. Hopefully more and more people will come across it.

@@chriszelez7970 he was always that guy.
he got rich by destroying american businesses, firing american and sending their jobs and thus the production and that wealth overseas for his own quick profit.
hes not alone, there were millions of 'muuh free market' guys and gals who spent the last half century profiteering off destroying us production and making a quick buck off it. with the results that
1-they, the romney types are rich
2-china is rich and the most important economy on Earth upon which all others rely, including the supposed global power (thats the 35 trillion in debt usa) in whose homes everything is chinese made. which leads to
