Love the respect and homage to Squirrel...Dave keeps the camera running, no words need be spoken, Squirrel "prays" at the tree, 'scene of the crime' LOL, mental breakdown ensues, he walks out the distance, returns to the tree, pulls up the gun, what did I do.."SWING AND A MISS". Still a great hunt in every respect of the sport...well played guys

Don't feel bad Squirrel, I've done it too. 2 in one morning. When you stare at something for an hour in a contorted position, just out of range, it makes for jumpy trigger fingers. lol. I learned to appreciate the experience and I quit feeling as sick to my stomach. The adrenaline reaches a point of "I can't take it no more" after a certain amount of time and muscle cramps. It's BOOM and hope for the best.
I’ve been there, worst feeling in the world. At least Dave was a good friend and kept the video running. Haha!!! I bet the behind the scenes clips of Squirel are priceless!

I shot a gobbler in Kentucky in the same pasture I parked in 1/4 mile away. Drove over to get my bird and accidentally ran over my Benelli. Worked the action and straightened it out. Left for Iowa the next day. Missed 3 gobblers in the next 12 hours after callin them in close. Threw the gun in disgust. Put a bullet in and shot at a knob in a tree 20 yards away. Damn thing shot 12” left...
Looked like Squirrel had something heavy on his mind and heart that was affecting his aim. Been there.

I’m trying re watching all your episodes since I can’t go hunting yet and I forgot how much I enjoy watching you and squirrel hunt and screw with one another. I like squirrel 🐿 he sounds pretty cool for a Florida man.

WOW. That bird was fired up on the limb.
I shot at and missed the same gobbler three times in the same season. After the last miss i moved a 100 yards to a different spot and called in 4 2-year olds and shot and missed again. Six longbeards called in an hour with 2 misses. Living large in the turkey woods.

I know the feeeling. I missed two longbeards in one day last year also. It's a baaad feeling.
