I've got a feeling they are seeing the reflection of the camera lens on you Gopro on your shoulder. As a turkey hunter that wears glasses I know the battle.
Watch this video right after he saw you and you will see the flashing in the camera lens.

Had one come around on me last year just like that first one. Thought he was coming by up but he swung lower without making a sound after his last gobble.
They will fool you Dave…. I had 2 long beards do the same thing to me in 2023. I thought they were jakes do to the gobble and had the gun on my lap…. I went silent as they gobbled their heads off. Finally they broke and came up the hill. I was able to get the gun up like you and harvest one….truly enjoy your videos, hunting apparel and calls…. I swear I think it’s the glass on the camera or. I had a bigger red dot on my turkey gun years ago and couldn’t figure out why they were seeing me. Took that thing off and got back to killing again. So it may be the camera glass. Hope not - I sure love the videos! Have a good one.

Dave do you think it’s possible they are picking up the glare off of the lens of your shoulder mounted GoPro?
Anything is possible. I assume it's a glare of some kind, I have a lot of glass pointed at them with the cameras (3) and the fastfire also.

Id try putting some electrical tape or duct tape over that lens for the led panel on the gun cam. Maybe use an exacto knife to get it to fit perfectly..... I would think that light could have the potential to spook those birds for sure 🤷🏼

To me, it seems like some years I am invisible to them no matter where I end up sitting, and other years, I seem to stick out no matter where I sit. But I am going to keep on sitting and take what the Good Lord gives me.

Gun hunting and the TSS create these long shots where the hunter doesn't know what's safe or ethical. Not worried about you Dave, your are a steward. The problem is, a first timer patterns their 12 or 10ga. in their back yard to 60yards and think its cool in the woods.
Dave if you're going to stay on TH-cam and make it you're going to have to Get in to Deer hunting you're Turkey Hunting is great But more people Deer hunt than Turkey hunt you can Do it
He does do deer hunts buddy and he's good at it. Also he don't need to deer hunt. He is the best turkey hunter ever
