Garrison's tragic, PREVENTABLE passing made me reflect on my relationship with my Dad from ~age 10 to age 25. While some (but only SOME) leeway can be given for Kody having 18 kids and my Dad having just 2. But... if my Dad, who I love and trust and want to be proud of me... if he'd essentially checked out for 90% or more of my life at those ages, for a new family, tremendously hurting and disrespecting my mother in the process, and then CHOSE HIS NEW CHICK OVER ME and cut ties with me over said new chick... I tell you I just don't know if I would've been capable of coping with that level of disappointment wrapped in the heartbreak of betrayal. My Dad is my HERO. My PROTECTOR. And more times than I wish he had to be, my DEFENDER. If he emotionally dipped out on me and humiliated my mom in the process... without the wherewithal to seek professional help to process it, I honestly could see myself being as distraught and hopeless as Garrison (and anyone who takes that permanent exit) has to be to follow through with that act... I really don't know that I could survive it. And at 25 I did not yet have the life experience necessary to seek help under my own motivation. Kody is horrible. He has a part in this death. Sorry not sorry if that's too harsh for you. He carries blame for this. He just does.

A Father is a Father forever. Not even death should separate him from his children. He failed all of his children with the 3 divorces and even starting up this cult to build him up in his supposed kingdom. Garrison and Gabe showed their hurt and pain over the last few years. Also am I the only one who thinks that continuing filming of the show is very disrespectful of Garrison’s passing? I find it crass and lacking in good judgment. If they include filming of the funeral or memorial service I will be very upset. It’s not right to use his death as a way to keep the show going.

I don’t know where the public’s appetite is for this show now, but I know that the reason I’ve personally followed the last seasons, is to see the wives become empowered and leave the toxicity behind, and to see how the children were doing. It was heartbreaking to witness the damage Kody and Robyn have inflicted on the other wives’ children, and it gave me hope to see them doing well. I do not care to watch Kody and Robyn and frankly don’t care what happens to them or to the robyn clones they’re bringing up. I don’t know how they can live with themselves after how they’ve trashed and disparaged all the non robyn children, including Garrison so publicly.
I feel the same and only watched the last season since early seasons. For the same reasons you state.

Since the children are not getting paid, they should sue TLC and Kody every time Kody mentions their name or uses them as story line. Not sure if that is possible but crazier things have happen.
Yes! TLC has exploited these kids to the point of the mental health crisis that occurred with Garrison. They watched it happen. They could have warned Kody and Robyn about their abusive behavior.

I hope they at least come together as a family and acknowledge that it’s not really anyone’s fault. It’s a really bad choice that deeply hurts everyone. Suicide is a horrible death to live with. Every morning, waking up knowing he’s gone, wondering if you could have done something different. Regretting your words and actions. Healthy young man with his life ahead of him. All of them need to agree that suicide in that family should never happen again. They can teach their children from this devastating death. Take precautions, and keep communication open. Garrison isn’t coming back, but his death can possibly save others. If not only a sibling, maybe a viewer, a fan, needs to see how they deal with his death, maybe someone’s child will wake up another day.

Kody and Robyn are heading in a downward spiral. Every dog has their day, it's coming for them. These two absolutely used the women, children & family as a money maker. That's what got Robyn's eyes out of their socket towards Kody. She saw the mansion lifestyle in her future.
No matter the antics they pull, the world has seen their true colors not to mention the horrific disregard of those beautiful boys. But we all know narcissists do not "feel your pain". No empathy for anyone else. You can spend a lifetime trying to make a narcissist accountable. It won't happen. One interesting fact, narcissists, especially a covert narcissist (Kody is a communal narc), do Not support those who grieve. There's always a "show", but they are always all appearance and no substance.
Remember, a narcissist doesn't break your heart, they break your spirit. The best way to cope with that is to completely disconnect. The day that TLC disconnects them from the world, is the day they are served consequence and it will STOP hurting the kids! That's why I await the day TLC implodes.
All of this was a waste, the loss of Garrison is an absolute tragedy and all of them should have considered the children Before signing a contract! RIP sweet boy!

Kody didn’t want the responsibility of the large family when it came down to it. He liked the attention it brought him. But as for being a good provider, he couldn’t hack it when he wasn’t able to dominate the kids anymore. Robyn was very eager to help him absolve him self of his responsibilities by making herself a victim and prioritizing / victimizing her kids. Sadly she won’t feel bad about it and Kody has no empathy.
