Just think of what kurt cobain could have done with this
I just took an original 7-String Squier Body from 2001 and refinished it Grafitti Yellow. Then I added a Seymour Duncan SH-6b-7 Bridge + DiMarzio Liquifire and put about 1k € into a 50 year old piece of maple, just to reverse the original 70´s modern c shaped fender neck with custom inlays. Why I did this? Because you are absolutely right. Fender would never make such a Guitar. They did what I did once at the Anaheim NAMM 1988 with the Alex Gregory Prototype and now the Fender Custom Shop has no blueprint for that neck anymore ;-)
Ahhh good ole stage master 7 I had one in black and one in blue ,when set up right they actually sound great and were and still are greatly underrated and unappreciated

Valiant. Very cool I just hope those frets aren’t made of.. Did you say..? Duriluminum? Or something like that, with the root word as alumInum? Because i would wear down aluminum in three days. But we’ll see I guess..

Would the 23rd fret not be unplayable with the truss rod wheel?
I'm curious, the truss rod adjustment being in there makes it any different to play the 3rd, 4th and 5th string since theres a hole there?

fender has made exactly one masterbuilt seven string and it’s honestly kinda sad they didn’t keep going and make a whole line of them
I have never seen an adjustable nut! I wonder if that means you can just adjust it for different strings gauges.

I prefer the feel of a relic’d guitar more (especially the neck), but they’re just so damn good at making guitars. Both are fantastic haha

My friends have often joked that I’m a 5 string player, sometimes when I break the high E string I Sometimes I don’t replace it for 6 months or even longer if they were fairly new 🤭. It gives you lots if bending room on the lower part of the fretboard for that next string ! 😄 and I’ve never played a cigar box 3 string but it’s probably just my speed ! 🤔

I’ve never tried that I may have to give it a go just out of curiosity as to how it a sounds 🤔( thanks for the tip) . If it’s any consolation my grades were only a bit better not by much 😄. When I actually applied myself I could easily get straight A’s… but I rarely ever did, I was always way more concerned about guitars, cars and girls ! And it seems even 30 years later that is still the case! 😄

That is a beautiful guitar, one that you buy somewhat based on looks and how it play’s combined, then find yourself reaching for it more often every time you play! 👍🏻 what a beautiful workhorse! 😊

It feels pretty much like a scalloped fret, but it’s so far up the fingerboard with jumbo frets you barely even notice it tbh
