Something quick I wanted to add to this is DO NOT escalate a situation EVER. It will only make things worse for everybody involved, and will likely get you kicked out or banned. If you have an issue with someone or someone has an issue with you, talk to them privately, and if you cant work it out between you, talk to a ref to figure out what to do. Don't go around full autoing people because you're angry at them, thats how you get into fights and get banned. Remember, everyone is there to have a good time and have fun, and the refs are there not only to make sure everyone stays safe, but enforce the rules and ensure that everyone has a good time. Just be respectful to your fellow players and ensure that you arent the one causing any problems, and if a problem arises, be calm and mindful of what you're doing so you dont just make things worse.

    I got another good one:
Don't wear clothing that's really thick because you're scared of bbs. First of all if you just wear like maybe a hoodie you will get used togetting hit faster - > it'll hurt less over time
Also situations where you're not sure wether you're hit or not will happen less often
Also most importantly: if you wear stuff that's too thick you're gonna overheat and sweat and maybe, just maybe have a heat stroke (happened at my local field some tine ago)

0:35 when dealing with right handed corners, try not to switch the entire weapon to your left hand, keep it in your right hand while simply switching only the butt stock to your left shoulder, its called 'bumping' and it's easier, quicker and you expose less of your body.

I’d say to newer players and still intermediate depending on their mind, ALWAYS RESEARCH BEFORE YOU BUY! My friend bought an MP5 and battery, but no charger since he thought his other charger will work, but he ended up breaking his battery and now he needs to buy a whole new battery just cause he did not research his battery. Please research and make sure what you buy is completely for you and will work. Reliability and performance is much better than looks.

Even though I'm not new (been playing for like 12 years), I like watching these vids. I've gotten my niece (16) into the sport and am getting my nephew (12) into it. I keep drilling into them that even though it's a game, I drill the fifth, second and first tip into them like crazy. I don't want them getting injured (I mean, if they fall, hell, that's outdoors for ya) but I don't want them to act dumb and brandish the gun or losing an eye.

9:10 I was entering into an ongoing match at WAR GAMES (Airsoft Revolution 15, San Antonio); ~75 acres of southern Texas woodlands.
I was nowhere near the action and just walking from the gear zone. I felt a slight knock on the top of my helmet and instinctively called "HIT;" knowing that there are snipers in these woods.
After sitting there with my red dead rag out for what felt like eternity, it dawned on me that an acorn had fallen and hit me on top of my head.

I make a habit of keeping my eye pro on even in the safety and staging area at my field, since mags are either loaded or being put in just before the game starts. While a BB coming from a hicap mag isn't flying at 300+ fps, I like having 20/20 vision. It's something I recommend as a safety precaution - mistakes happen, don't let it happen to you (and yeah, that's a dig at hicap users).
Familiarize yourself with your gear. Get used to the way it feels, how it handles. Practice shouldering, aiming, and flipping the safety (goes without saying).
Ask for help. Most (unfortunately, not all) players are willing to help you when it comes to the game. My team and I find 2-3 new players each time we go out and offer to mentor them for the day (or until they're ready to set off on their own). While I don't agree with the mental gymnastics of "no new players means dead sport", that's no excuse to be an asshole.

    • @20tigerpaw20
      @20tigerpaw20 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I mean, it DOES mean the sport is dead, as no new players join, no company would want to make airsoft guns, and as such even less players would want to /even could get into it.
Ammo, mags, and gas would be the only things that would sell. With a gun once a month or so.

I tried this for the first time last week. For some reason there was a spot in the game where if you were hit three times you had to retreat towards.
Unfortunately, something I somehow missed was once you were there you weren’t allowed to shoot anymore.
So I was shooting off at one of the Refs who were playing on the opposite team.
This sequence of events unfolds as follows:
Ref: “Hit, I’m hi- woah hey! Hey! You can’t shoot right there man! Yes, you in the blue scarf, you’re dead, stop shooting.”
    Me: “Uhm, sorry!”
Definitely goes along with paying attention. Still can’t believe I missed that part. Needless to say, I’m gonna be listening with a sharper ear next time.
Oh man this comment is unnecessarily long. Props to you if you read all of this.

Another thing I will add as we get into summer is to keep an eye on other players if they look like they need help. Last year at D14 I noticed someone who was sitting down leaning up against a building and not moving at all. Thankfully and admin was nearby and I got his attention before we went over to check on him and make sure he was alright.

I’ve been obsessed with airsoft since I was 8, I thought of it as “The cooler call of duty”, Yesterday I bought a CO2 powered Glock 19 Gen 3, this weekend I’m going to test it out but the feeling alone is comfortable and high quality and the amount of safety features is lovely, I’m still young(and a minor) but I already know the basic rules since I’ve studied it since I was 8, I have mental notes of every detail and I can’t wait for my first match, I don’t have a case yet but I’m going to get one as soon as I can

  • @CarmineAirsoft

For anyone looking to get a realistically coloured gun in the uk you need a ukara license. This can be acquired by becoming a member of a certain club or ask how to get one from a field. Then on websites you input them to be available to buy one. You will be put on a data base so you don’t need to remember it at shops. The best irl shot for Airsoft is probably urban Airsoft and some of the best online are patrol base or defcom

    Funny story about hit calling
In the south we have a short time of the year where the trees just start raining all sorts of stuff like branches, nuts, acorns and leaves. It’s a mix of fall and the animals running through the trees. Anyway it got so bad that everyone was calling hits that didn’t happen and we eventually just started complaining that the trees weren’t calling their hits.
