Hi Erik ,fab stuff, some of these locos had blue painted grills on , but later were removed ..,,and...........the axal cap's are just righ mate.....top thinking dont change to much will you.😏👌
Hi Paul, just a name plate would be great, something like "The Duke of Persley" 😊 But I won't have time for that, very busy at work. Soon Christmas holidays though, but then I will start on the new layout 😊 Thanks for watching!
The new look of the locomotive is good, if you wouldn't have said you painted it, I probably wouldn't realize. The plasticky look of a scale model really sucks, it's like downgrading the model to the toy status. Nice day, Erik, thanks for the video!
Hi Erik, you made a good job of improving the livery on your 33, it does look a lot better with the cosmetic changes. The yellow axle boxes are correct on BR Diesels, I think they add to to detailing. I have fitted NEM Pockets to some of my Lima Diesels it is quite involved and not easy to explain how to do it. I have also fitted 1.8mm Wire D shape couplings which are very discreet as there are no hooks. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
@@paulvozman842 I have ordered Dapol NEM pockets. They were affordable and come with screws. I hope these will fit my two Lima Class 33 (this one and the BR green one). Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@railway187 Hi Erik, there are a number of NEM pockets available now, I am also looking at the ones with a screw fitting. I dont know why Hornby and Lima made these very long couplings they make the Loco look like a toy. Good luck with fitting your Dapol NEM pockets it would be interesting to see how they look. Cheers, Paul.
@@michaela21212 I was thinking about adding the black surrounds. However the glazing is not flush, and my hand is not steady enough 😬🫣 I am afraid I would just ruin the model. I am thinking about a number board on top of the cab and a name board at the side. I have only got a B&W printer, so these would be black with white lettering. Thanks for watching!
Hi Erik, I think this looks great. 02:30 etc have a look at the TH-cam channels : 1. Plasmo and 2. Nightshift . Perhaps you already know them? I hope so😊 They specialise in military modelling (but sometimes other types) and their techniques on painting, weathering is amazing. Where are you in Europe? I am on the French/German border. Ian
👋😍👍

Greetings from Seven🖖
Super video, thumps up 🙋🏻♂️😃😃👍👍👍
This is one of my favorite locomotive liveries.
Great work! We have a spare shell to try and adapt to resemble a Class 25. Great inspiration here
Looks amazing, merry Christmas 🎄

I like it, good work! Some had black window surrounds which would tone the plasticky yellow down. Need a steady hand though 🙂.
