Black Clover did have an animation producer, two actually (Maiko Isogai & Naomi Komatsu), they're just not credited as such for some reason but as Producer, they were working on Twin Star Exorcists before and you can notice that some of their connections were on Black Clover (Itsuko Takeda, Mifumi Tomita, Studio Cosmos...) I guess you got confused with the Production Desk role which was absent for ~20 episodes, although it was a major role too Also, the animators from TRIGGER (Ikarashi, Kato, Sannomiya...) on episode 63 were brought thanks to Yusuke Kawakami who was working on SSSS.Gridman at this time, not Yoshihara directly or the PAs Nice video though!
I believe both of them were production assistants who filled in the role of an animation producer (which is why I mentioned the juggling production assistants) as for the role itself, ANN's credits are all over the place, but Kvin mentioned the lack of an animation producer in a sakugablog article, and I'd imagine he knows what he's talking about. And finally yes, Ikarashi came in as a part of that trigger pipeline thanks to Kawakami, but my statement was more general, it wasn't just about him, but rather it was about any big name that showed up throughout the series, as well as the younger webgen guys
@@ProbablyPretentious Maybe not production assistant but yeah, kViN is correct but saying that Black Clover doesn't have an animation producer without elaborating is a bit misleading imo, it kinda sounds like no one is doing the role while we can clearly see that Maiko Isogai and Naomi Komatsu act as such as even the main staff has their connections (Itsuko Takeda, Kosei Takahashi, Yuki Maeda, Hajime Takakuwa...) and almost all the outsourcing studios were from TSE But it's just nitpicking honestly!

And also the production of hell's paradise is still a question for me. the first trailer released a long time ago with a 6 months gap for each cour as you said. And it is not a JJK, CSM situation that the production might've started much later because The team is very different. And still the trailer is a bit Limited (of course i don't expect it to be JJK, CSM level because that's not possible) and like some people say that the trailer is pre animated. Again I'm Really confused. But cour 2 will look great right? It’s basically the polish on a model. Let’s say that you load up blender and make a simple gray cube, but you want to make the cube look like it’s made of wood. You would add wood to it to make the cube have a wood texture. In the example that the video talks about, the trees only have one basic color. The trees look bad because they have no textures on them, and just basic colors.
Fico muito triste de saber que Black clover não teve a atenção que merecia e se depender tirando o filme que foi incrível quando o anime voltar ele talvez não tenha uma animação descente 😞😟
I knew the studio didn't care for Black Clover but everything else is so ridiculous. I always wondered why the first appearance of Asta's anti magic form was so goofy looking. I hope when it starts animating again my favorite "anime" can actually be called an anime 💀
If pierrot didn't care about Black Clover why not just cancel it earlier? 170 episode is really much while most of the animes are 12 or 25 episodes long. It just sounds really weird make an anime this long while didn't care how the episodes looks like.
Forget everything. The problem with Pierrot is they view everything as next Naruto. So instead of having a proper seasonal production they want to make it a long running continuous show. God knows what do they get from this. Long running shows are more risky than seasonal shows. I love BC, if only they have a proper seasonal production we would have gotten a decent animation all throughout with in between movies. But nah. Well it's still a successful show, atleast after 30 episodes it started to pick up fame.
If they had enough time (not in a hellish schedule) and even not. If they had an actual Animation producer and staff. Black clover would look much more consistent. Like bro, tatsuya yoshihara is on black clover. He is a big freaking name. He himself carried BC
No the problem is that every time an anime gets a break is another chance for it to get cancelled Caribou-kun made a video on Naruto fillers and speculated that if Naruto was seasonal, there’s a possibility it wouldn’t have even got a complete adaptation.
Things like the format are decided by the top of the committee and those credited for the Planning phase, it's Shueisha and TV Tokyo's decision to air Black Clover as a long running (and obviously they're also the ones behind Naruto, Boruto or Bleach)

It has a bad schedule looks like. But overall it will look decent. Also the compositing is not bad as some of people (Mappa haters) says. It dosen't Hide the details like in AOT part 1 (for the Most part) and makes the Eye details to look good. But it relies on one color. But it's not bad at all, exept when it's bluring at times
@deeznut4775 you love to say bullshits huh? I'm explaining the production. How tf did i ruin the experience for this dude bruh 💀?
good video, they just need to actually support it when it hopefully comes back next year(spring/autumn) and it can be very very good, the upcoming arc on the anime will be good so the animation needs to be consistent enough , easy as that
I don't get why people so many people seem to shit on this episode, it's wierd, yes, but like you said it is one of the most interesting visuals ever, and god I honestly love this episode, it constantly feels like the characters are on the verge of exploding into a speed blitz of incomprehensible mass and I'm constantly on the edge of my seat while watching, did this episode have flaws? Yes. And even though later on in the yami and asta vs dante fight was more well animated (along with a few other episodes) this episode is just so interesting to watch that it holds a place in my heart as one of the most visually stunning pieces I've ever seen because no, it isn't art, it's animation, in its purest form and it is beautiful, thank you for reading this rant if you read it... to whoever is reading this, you're cool :)
7:22 and his mother??
Yes, he mentioned it in a tweet, his mother helped out with the colouring
@@ProbablyPretentious that's pretty cool ngl
another day another great video
I wonder how popular black clover would be if ufotable decided to take over
They don't do long running animes tho. they don't have The staff for that
@@A1000-b9s who said black clover had to be long running
I think if BC come back in TV series,it depend on how people react to the movie. In Jump magazines The ToC chart is so low and manga book selling is not good too. Is there a possibility that the studio won't continue due to the bad trend? and focus on other anime series?
When neflix Japan release bc anime it's actually top 10 on Japan lmao and let me say this to don't mean much at all BC still gonna sell 200k maximum 2 month bc just suffering from shit schedule and animation plus Early ASTA VA also with neflix actually they got money from it too so we better watch it
Series within jump itself let alone outside of jump that sell far less than BC are being animated. BC is more than safe lol, it’s just a matter of when it will return
@@nacht_skg 2024 or 2025
Honestly there were so many amazingly animated fights that after finishing watching all the current episodes I don't care about those episodes with awfuly low level of animation. Inconsistancy is very noticable, but It's one of those traits that establishes the show and makes it interesting and more hype because you can see how much things improved
Well.. awesome video as always
Also, can we expect a video on Vinland saga s2, campfire cooking, slime isekai or your thoughts on spy family as an overall finished product ✨✨
Both VS and tondemo skill (isekai Show) had good to very good production schedules as i heard
@@A1000-b9s as far as I have heard campfire cooking was like chainsaw man no production committee involved so we can say it is a passion project and if it goes fine then mappa could make a way to completely remove or be the biggest component in production committee and they will earn more profit and will be able to take time they want 🥹
@@gamerboyrax2222yeah i still have my doubts on CSM as (yname) explained some of the things for me. But yeah, it's a Really great thing for any studio to lean away from production committees that ruining the anime industry. They can make a lot more money for themselves and make more sub-studios, and hopefully when they have enough Resources and people, they don't need to make more than they can (although they can handle but with bad schedules at times). And makes their show very profitable (which is The safest and the best direction for every studio). And i hope that's the direction of manabu (Mappa CEO) for mappa (and i think it is) But nowdays they have great schedules too
@@gamerboyrax2222yeah they don't need to have stress to make more shows than they can (although already they are much more stable than a lot of studios). But yeah that's the best path for every studio and manabu (Mappa CEO) seems to go in that direction
Black Clover did have an animation producer, two actually (Maiko Isogai & Naomi Komatsu), they're just not credited as such for some reason but as Producer, they were working on Twin Star Exorcists before and you can notice that some of their connections were on Black Clover (Itsuko Takeda, Mifumi Tomita, Studio Cosmos...)
I guess you got confused with the Production Desk role which was absent for ~20 episodes, although it was a major role too
Also, the animators from TRIGGER (Ikarashi, Kato, Sannomiya...) on episode 63 were brought thanks to Yusuke Kawakami who was working on SSSS.Gridman at this time, not Yoshihara directly or the PAs
Nice video though!
@@ProbablyPretentious Maybe not production assistant but yeah, kViN is correct but saying that Black Clover doesn't have an animation producer without elaborating is a bit misleading imo, it kinda sounds like no one is doing the role while we can clearly see that Maiko Isogai and Naomi Komatsu act as such as even the main staff has their connections (Itsuko Takeda, Kosei Takahashi, Yuki Maeda, Hajime Takakuwa...) and almost all the outsourcing studios were from TSE
But it's just nitpicking honestly!
Great video as always would love to see you talk about One Piece's Wano animation and how it became so good you don't have to listen to me of course if you don't want to that ok keep making these great videos.
Love your way of explaining ❤
Luckily we'll all be able to see how Black Clover will look when it's given time to cook in the oven with the movie.
The movie was gorgeous🙏🏽
the fact that even though the animation was definitely a mess loyal fans stayed loyal till the last episode and after episode 150 their patience was paid off
I loved the animation for episode 63 idk why but all the flashing and they way the move is so cool to me
i literally just watched the latest video right before it got taken down
I was watching it at 1:06 AM and I accidentally clicked off. I immediately clicked back on but then it was claimed. Bruh
Great video as always, can you make an animation breakdown of Garden of Words.
woahh nice video, btw, where do you get these informations ? I also wanna know more about this
Sakugablog I think
I hope the movie does well and we eventually see a 'black clover brotherhood' or 'black clover kai' type redo that gives the series the quality it deserves.
With A Staff that Genuinely Care and Actual Care And Communication Between The Studio.
it definetly did.
@@reverseshinwell the original staff did care about the show.
Episode 100 was something special.
Every department gave their best.
I can't wait for you to make a video about the absurd story behind Jujutsu Kaisen season 2's animation after the season ends.
Can you make a video about kingdom animation?
For me animation was perfect specifically black and white moments and cube animation.
And yet, I still love it.
Hope views will keep on that level. Wish you and your channel grow
Never watched BC but i know that production was a disaster and from what u said it's even more bad than i thought lol not even aniP there to help them sheeesh it's rough but in the end yoshihara saved BC from completely collapsing as expected from him
Hey man. Can i Ask you Something? Where exactly do you Learn about Solid information about, interviews of the staff, The production, The staff for every episode (for a Show) etc..? Can you recommend me some reliable leakers? I've been try to find some of them for a while
And also the production of hell's paradise is still a question for me. the first trailer released a long time ago with a 6 months gap for each cour as you said. (even if cour 1 has a bad schedule which is weird because TWIN ENGINE is on the production committee, they always handle the schedules well)
@@userK894no i couldn't. Can you say the name at least?
@@A1000-b9s yes cour 2 should look better than cour 1 since aot staff will be free by then so atleast inhouse one can help them a bit

Let's hope when the anime comes back, it's seasonal and it's scheduled far better than before so Yoshihara and Tanemura can have all the breathing room they need so they can get all the best animators they can. And given how good the movie looks via the trailers, it's definitely a sign of what's to come.
i think for videos like this you should add captions on the visuals of the video, you talking about a guy at 5:08 and i cant tell what i see is done by him or not
You should do a video on Studio Bind and Mushoku Tensei. It has great animation, especially for it being the first anime of the studio. Why was this? Are there certain well known veterans involved or has this talent just popped out of nowhere?
Black clover had insanely good story which stood out from others but the animation became the very reason it didn't reach the fame mha and jjk did. Only if it had a good animation
People still underestimate the animation, some of the fights look better than 95% of shonen fights
"the only episode i'll talk about in detail is episode 63""
"for obvious reasons" 💀
Please make video about
The top production issues in anime industry such as black clover, wonder egg priority, jujutsu kaisen season 2
I love your videos
Im new to BC and Im currently on the Witches' forest arc. Ladros vs. Asta brought me here. And tbh, I understand now.
Don't forget bc is weekly anime
It's clear as day that pierrot is forcing all there efforts on bleach tybw. Even boruto while not as bad as black clover also has some issue and the quality of the code arc is no where near that of the jigen/isshiki arc imo.
Yes but not only reason. Health issues bad planing
@@kishank9580 Yup
@@catlike9444 weekly anime with shitty schedule that's what happens bc need too be seasonal
bleach had nothing to do w black clover's production lmfao. TYBW didn't start production until early 2022.
@M M do you understand the video. One of the reasons why black clover suffer was because pierrot didn't care about black clover and instead focus their efforts on naruto and bleach. He even said in the video "studio pierrot doesn't care" it's one of the reasons of black clover problems.
Tbh black cover would be better as a seasonal anime
I have to admit that Black Clover is a good Anime even though the animation can be pretty bad at times.
Thanks Yashihara
7:22 I'm sorry did you just say an animator had to call in his MOTHER in order to do corrections?!?? I've Literally never heard of this happening before that is insane calling this production a shitshow is a grave understatement lmfao. Somebody please give Tatsuya Yoshihara a vacation for the love of God
Lmao, not the corrections but the colouring, he tweeted about it, while I'm not sure if he did that because of the tight schedule, that's the most likely reason...
Think every animator needs a vacation tbh…….
I'm waiting for you to make a kny season 3 first episode breakdown when it's aired
Be patient lord akaza

I think the animations are great
Where would you rank studio pierrot as a anime studio and i feel like you could make a 1 hour video just talking about the black clover anime
I wish ep 63 would be reanimated by some studio like demon slayer jjk or solo leveling studios
I loved the animation.
Even if the animation is sub par some times I still will say black clover is a 9 outa 10
“But shut up” 😭😂😭
Japanese animation studio have a vision for they own project but the most of them is out sourcing but in America they do have plenty off studioand have so much source but didn't have any vision what a world
another example of a studio not careing anymore is My Hero Academia on Season 4 they just said fuck it we give mob psycho all our budget
That’s a very horrible example
Ngl I kinda like the style of episode 63
Hell's Paradise 1st episode thoughts?
rainbow fire effects were great.
The show's already a production mess lmao, the number of animation directors is unbelievable.
@@MM-qo2wwhow many ADs were credited for episode 1??
I don't know man Hell's paradise is the only Mappa show that is gonna look average,I hope action sequences are good though,I don't expect any character acting from this show,I hope artwork remains strong throughout the series atleast.
And it was kinda obvious that this show is gonna be a mess, but I don't think it's Aot S4 Part 1 level mess.
Compositing was also eh.. kinda ok sometimes it looked way too bright (it's still better than most of the shows) Idk
Some unpolished cuts here and there (story is gonna be good so I'm all in for the show)
Overall it was nothing crazy some really good effects animation throughout the episode.

The story was interesting to me so I never care about the animation of the show and it's in my top 10 . Interesting video
What did you think about jigo episode 1?
nice info
We a need different studio for black clover. I mean, they even gave up on Boruto.
Black Clover Brotherhood anyone?
what is texture? I still can't get the hang of this term despite seeing people mention it many times
Wait did you actually take me suggestion
Thank you for the education :^)
I knew the studio didn't care for Black Clover but everything else is so ridiculous. I always wondered why the first appearance of Asta's anti magic form was so goofy looking.
I hope when it starts animating again my favorite "anime" can actually be called an anime 💀
If pierrot didn't care about Black Clover why not just cancel it earlier? 170 episode is really much while most of the animes are 12 or 25 episodes long. It just sounds really weird make an anime this long while didn't care how the episodes looks like.
It isn't cancelled, it's on hiatus.
@@tick1180 probably the producer and tv demands

Bhai , apne country me anime jaisa kuch kabhi banega kya ?

Still waiting for that kannada video
Really love your animation analysis videos. You are a really underrated youtuber. Considering you are a danmachi fan, I would love an analysis video of the series animation as a whole. Many consider that S1 is the best animated of them all. I wonder if you also share the same opinion.
Cool video. Good thing I read the manga I guess. But it is sad what happened to the anime adaptation. Hopefully, it improves later on.
Also I would love for you to talk about Bleach like this. OG one I mean. There are some great episodes in that I remember. Even better than the new one(even tho overall the adaptation was mid for various reasons). Like episode 341, 219 comes to mind. Thanks
