One of the things that I love about this show is that the four leads-Michelle, James, Katie, & Joshua-don’t badmouth it now in their adult years. They always express gratitude for that time in their lives and what it did for their careers. I hate it when actors trash the thing that made them famous and dismiss it, e.g. Johnny Depp and the original 21 Jump Street.
It is true that all the stars in this show were never really riddled in scandal. Hollywood really can be a horrible place for children. I'm glad they were projected.
Katie holmes marrying into a cult and having a child with a man who is controlling is kind of a scandal. so is Michelle's relationship with heath ledger, and having a child with a man who was an addict. they turned their lives around, but they are not things that are under the radar. more recently jj revealing his fetishisation of black women is a scandal in my view. its pretty gross and disturbing.
