This looks great. I love how you find gizmos with interesting motions and repurpose them for Halloween props. Be aware that many fans depend on the flow of the air to keep the motor cool. Constraining the airflow could cause the motor to run hotter than the specs and thus shorten its lifetime. That might not a big deal for a discount fan that runs this way a few nights a year around Halloween.
Thanks Hayward Haunter for underscoring that, however this is why I state to put the fan on its lowest speed and the use a knitted ski mask (as apposed to a typical microfiber or fleece material), which allows some air flow.

Consider removing the bottom jaw. Extend the edges to overlap same area. Attach using small rod. Essentially make a moving jaw. Small spring to attached inside pumpkin and drawdown through new "bottom jaw" should be set to keep jaw closed. Attach second fishing line to bottom of jaw and to base of display. Do this tightly when fan faces down. When fan goes upwards it should tilt and pull the spring allowing the mouth to open and close based on oscillation direction

This is so cool!
Thanks Porter!
Always so clever.
Thanks wrllovemen, I appreciate you taking the time to watch and to also leave the nice comment.

Happy Halloween to you ! As with all of your creations, I ❤️this. I see this as a good grandma/grandson project. 👻👻👻
Hi Stacy, thanks for watching and I'm glad that you like. Have fun with this project, a great one with the grandkids I'm sure.
Hi Stacy,
Would you be interested in a HALLOWEEN DIY & HOW-TO giveaway?! I have all kinds of odds and ends left over from my builds and videos, they are not complete sets of items to build a prop, but enough to get viewers started. I would probably have several "Prop Packages" from specific How-To videos to giveaway as FREE PRIZES! To enter viewers would just need to complete a contest or task. Please respond if this sounds like something that you would be interested in. If I get good responses such as thumbs up, then I will publish a video during this off season that will give everyone all the details, rules, how to enter and prize descriptions.
Thanks!

@@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms Hello Paul,
My sidekick ( my 10 year old grandson) read your question with me as he is out of school tomorrow and spending the night. Our answer is yes! Thank you for asking! 😊
Thank you Paul for your amazing videos, i looking forward to build some of your props. Do you make a yarddisplay whit your stuff?
Thanks Michael for your nice comment. These days my yard display is paired down only because my current front yard is a bit small.

@@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms Very cool idea Paul. Life pretty crazy at our little house with my 10yo autistic daughter breaking her leg on Thursday and working full time swing shift at the hospital, I could totally use a bit of distraction.
