This is rad. However, I'd say that when the term 'EMOViolence" was coined around 98/99 to describe the sound of Palatka & Orchid that would be the orgin of it. Otherwise before that, it's just Screamo... or as people used to describe it at the time mocklngly- "Fall On The Floor" Emo... as the singer's would always fall on the floor by the 2nd song of the set.
my first encounter with “emoviolence” is orchid… found them online and been looking for any mutual or any bands in the same era/genre. i cant believe that i never heard of the term “emoviolence” from someone who just started listening to said genre, it vaguely reminds me of black metal/grunge/punk. are there anymore bands like orchid that you could possibly list? thank you
@@surrendersaethscreamo, at least to my untrained ears, has a lot in common with crust/powerviolence/crasher, which in turn has a lot in common with black metal if i didn't know orchid was screamo i would think it was a crust/crasher band

Also I need to say this: THANK YOU FOR 200 SUBSCRIBERS! I appreciate all the attention this channel receives because I want to make the journey into becoming an emo-nerd as easy as possible for newer fans. Once I'm done with these evolution videos, I'll upload some explanation videos on how certain emo subgenres were formed (I mean, its already pretty clear from these videos but whatever).

OH! Spaz-core was another mid 90's unofficial genre name for bands that blended noise/chaos/ emo & screeching vocals.
