    Very nice build. Lots of well though out modifications. That roof storage and awning system is very well put together. And that tailgate storage looks fantastic as well!

      Thank you NKP Garage, a lot of time and thought went into designing the build. All of which has passed the test on the road!!

    For your fridge to give you max performance make sure you have at least 100ml of air flow on both sides and especially the rear. nice set up cheers Ron.

      Thanks Ron, we had a little vent near the fridges but definitely could do with a little more room to breathe

    Love the build. Will be using some of the ideas when I get my 100 series. Have you ever thought about replacing the top draws with removable containers so you can lower the bed platform? You can also use a shelf at the back you have your legs under when sleeping. My surf is set-up like that and love being able to sit up in bed.

    Hey just got recommended this video after looking at lots of 100 series vids (just bought a 06 Sahara fte) . Very jealous of your set up and the experiences you must have had on the road ! Hope you’re still uploading, I’ll check in a minute . Keep it up!

    Drive 04 fte, have done for 8yr now, tjm set up front rear locker efs 2inch lift alloys w’285’s triple battery, im 3.2 tonne all day long with full tank ,me, 3 dogs, recovery gear and fridge, stedi roof bar stedi spotties and a thunder 20” light bar on front, (lots of 100k night runs passing no other vehicles and plenty of animal strikes) thinking you’d be well above that gvm with all that gear, in vic removal of the rear seat makes it not road worthy, anyways nice set up, good traveller they are all the best🤙

    Hey guys, look into changing your radiator out, it's looking discoloured and are a ticking time bomb once they go like that for the tank to explode. They're meant to be black like the rest of the plastic in the engine bay. About $600 for genuine from a dealer, they're not a hard job.

    Nice setup guys. Just a tip, you don't need that second battery to start. I got rid of mine and I use the space to house my winch controller. Toyota ran two batteries because batteries were much weaker 20 years ago.

    Amazing guys! Can you come and do my house? How did you know what you needed before you set out - lots of research, learning as you go, or a combo?

    • @beancruisin
      @beancruisin  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Moo 😁Lots of research and TH-cam videos to figure out what we would like to be capable of. Then decided what appliances we wanted to be able to run, and then built the power system with that goal in mind.

    Lots of mods, just wondering do you manage to keep it under the legal GVM

    • @beancruisin
      @beancruisin  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not sure, worked fine for the trip. The weight on the roof destroyed a ball joint. Never got checked for GVM luckily

    I like the set up but I feel like the winch remote should be somewhere easier to get to from the driver's seat. Depending on the situation, getting into the tailgate storage compartment could be a real pain in a situation where you need to winch.

    • @beancruisin
      @beancruisin  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey The Internets, thanks for commenting :) We have our wireless winch remote in the glove box for easy access in all situations. The one in the tailgate is a backup in case we need the wired remote, if the wireless ever fails.

    Great video guys, in the process of building a LX470 along the lines of what you have done with your 100 series, very similar vehicles. Went with a DCS lithium battery set up under the bonnet and a 3000 watt inverter which these batteries will run.
    Are you not worried about the amount of weight on the roof ?
    A great set up though.

    • @beancruisin
      @beancruisin  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds awesome Warren, that’ll be a very powerful 12v system. We were a bit apprehensive about the weight on the roof however we completed 21000km around Australia, with proper 4x4 tracks and all. Thankfully we had no issues and it passed the ultimate test. The rest of our videos are yet to come !!

      The proof is in the pudding, as they say and after 21,000 kays with no problems seems like you have struck the right balance.

    Hey mate. I'm very curious about what app you are using for your 12v system ? And how have you connected that to your bcdc40a ?

    • @beancruisin
      @beancruisin  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Matt, we didn’t have an app to connect to the bcdc40a charger. However the eviction energy inverter was Bluetooth compatible so we could utilise an app whilst using the inverter. Mainly just used the voltmeters to view voltage

    1000 watt solar panel sounds ideal what details have u got on that

    • @beancruisin
      @beancruisin  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Dayle it’s an ex Telstra one built for remote stations, on the underside it just has a sticker saying 1000W

  • @thebangshiftbilly1653

    You said 1000 watt solar panel, did you mean 100 watt? Awesome setup BTW

    • @beancruisin
      @beancruisin  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much Bangshift Billy! The solar panel says 1000w on the bottom. I was given it and so am actually unsure of the exact wattage, however it works perfectly - so would assume it is quite high wattage.
