    I notice yours is the Sirui P-426SR like mine. I think it is the best monopod available.

    Thanks Daniel. I have the same one and found it a brilliant piece of gear. I mainly use the bottom tripod.

    Whats the difference between the Sirui P-326s and the P-426s? There's €100 cost difference.

    You mentioned this Sirui Monopod could do a bunch of things the Manfrotto one couldn't, but didn't explain what they were? I'm trying to decide which one to buy and from the video I just watched of the Manfrotto, except for the locking mechanisms (clips v screw ones) they're pretty much the same. You able to elaborate mate?

    What specific camera do you plan on using with this?

      I am getting a Panasonic GH5 in a few days! That will be the camera I will be using on this bad boy.

    Thanks for the video! Could You describe your impressions of 2-months usage of that monopod? I'm especially curious about it's stability since I'm looking for a monopod that could function almost like a tripod (so as I won't be forced to hold it all the time in my hands, that guy shows that it is possible: th-cam.com/video/hB4Z4mDPmqY/w-d-xo.html but he has P-424 S model). I would use it with quite light equipment (Manfrotto 500ah, DSLR camera, 70-200 lens - everything together 2.5 kilo). I think over buying this model or model P-424S. What I like about P-426S is that it's minimum lenght is 220 mm shorter than P-424 S, but on the other hand P-424S model may be more stabil thanks to lower number of locking sections and higher maximum loading (12 kilos while P-426S max loading is 10 kilos). But, if your model is stabil enough (is it?), I will consider it because it is more mobile and one can obtain lower shoots while using it in comparison to P-424S. Actually, what brought you to buying that exact model and how that monopod works in practice? Has it any drawbacks?

      I love it! It is very stable. In fact, I just shot a wedding where I had to leave it to run the camcorder(I don't recommend doing that if you can avoid it). I was using it without a head, as you can attach it to the camera directly, but I have put the Manfrotto 502 head on there every once in a while. The other models are just varying weights and sizes, but they are all built the same way. They have great locking mechanisms and would recommend this model only if you need something that folds up smaller and is lighter. My partner bought the P-224S and we love them both. His is more convenient, since it has less sections, but mine is by far easier to pack. It really comes down to your needs. You can take the legs off and mount your camera directly to them as well for lower shots, or to make the monopod smaller. The only thing I really don't like about it is it's pan feature. You can unlock the middle of the stand to pan it in place, but it is not smooth. It does make it useful though if you need to spin the legs, but I just leave it locked most of the time.

      Many thanks for your help, I've just bought Sirui P-424SR (because its features suits me more) and I'm in love with it! :D

    Hi. Thanks for the video. Can the feet of this be attached to any monopod?

    • @Kekafuch

      If your monopod base has 1/4-20 or 3/8 then it could.

  • @robertw9677
    @robertw9677 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Is that a 3/8 in thread stand so I could buy the mono and stand separately?

    • @Kekafuch
      @Kekafuch 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Can be 3/8 or 1/4 by flipping the included bolt.

    I have no idea what are you talking about.
    I just got this monopod and it is going back to B & h
    It is nothing like a tripod and it will never be a replacement for a tripod. it is not better than any other monopod with legs.
    The only thing ill give it, is that you can leave your camera hands free.
    If you are a wedding videographer, it will not help you with anything that moves. For example, during a toast, most of the time the subject moves and when you follow the subject ,your shot Is not going to be any smoother than any other monopod.
    Like I said. The only thing ill give it, is standing by itself.
