    These Mag Poppers are good. They attract big fish. I use the 5 1/4 one inshore and caught Horse Eye Jacks from 4 to 8 lbs. Had a solid Barracuda bite once but it got away.

    I wonder if you have tried the Duel Hardcore Bullet popper...looks so similar to Yo Zuri Mag popper...

    Are you using a saragosa? What’s a good spinning caster against tuna San Diego

      Stellas are great spinning reels, but a majority of west coast anglers prefer to use conventional reels when casting at tuna and yellowtail...it's all about personal preference!

    what "size" rod and reel is best for the respective sizes?

    • @BDOutdoorsdotcom
      @BDOutdoorsdotcom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For casting lures like a popper you generally will want a rod that is 8 ft or longer and and rated for at least 40lb test, same goes for the reel.

    Best colors??

      It's really personal preference, as we believe the action of the bait is more important than the color. In the SoCal fishery, sardine and mackerel type patterns are always a go to.
