This was such a bittersweet time on the Idaho BDR. We bonded as a group, and made it through some questionable situations, but we also split up as Chris, Rob, and I set out to finish the Route on our own. Hope you Enjoy! For more V2R Content: th-cam.com/users/ventur2roam
Ok as always great video. I really like how you implemented the Radio subtitles with the profile of who was speaking. That's genius. Really excited for more videos 🤙🏻🔥🏔️
Great video. It made me long for the old days. I grew up in the Coeur d' Arlene area and left at 18 going into the Navy. Never was able to come back due to family obligations. During my Cda days, I spent countless hours on a motorcycle in the Kootenai National Forest. Probably logged 30,000 miles up there. That was in the late 60s. Sure has changed a lot since then. Enjoy yourselves while you can.
What a great comment, thank you. I hope you watch the section where we get north up to Clark Fork and beyond. That is such beautiful country up there…maybe we hit a road or two you’ll remember 😊
It has been fun to watch your travels. It is different that our travel style. We head into the back country and set up a basecamp and then explore all the nooks and crannies around the basecamp with the 4wd. No setting up camp in the dark and sleeping in the mornings. So much to see when you take the time to slowly explore an area. Oh, did I say we enjoy lots of good food.
I live in Idaho. I've lived in 7 states and always wanted to leave each one, except Idaho. I've lived here more than 30 years. I think it's one of the most beautiful places in the USA.
Another great video guys and I really want to go do those switchbacks, they look seriously cool! Thank you for sharing your adventure and giving the rest of us glimpse of great places to see that we might never discover on our own.
The French Creek Grade was really cool. I couldn’t get the drone far enough out to frame the whole thing. I’m definitely going back! Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment!!
Ha! I'm enjoying the series, can't wait for the next video. Thank you for taking the time to put it together. I'm in Washington and love the WA BDR and was looking for the next closest one. Thank you!
I really want to get over there and do the WA BDR. Hope you stick around and watch the rest of the series...there's some really good stuff in the next few sections! Appreciate you watching and leaving a comment!
Thank you so much! Each Idaho vid is labor of love for my home state...that said, Idaho is pretty easy to show off :). Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment!
Idaho is a beautiful state for sure and you got some great weather! Did the Magruder a couple of years ago and now want to do the entire Idaho BDR. So much beauty to see and experience. Looking forward to the next video drop to reminisce about my trip there!
Magruder is on the next Episode...along with night driving on Lolo..what a crazy couple of days that was. I could spend 3 days on Magruder easy...we did it in a day. We are 100% going back there though. So glad you're watching the series!!!! Thanks for the comment.
WOW, what an incredible channel. Your work is inspiring. I'm a little for fun channel jeepNdirt learning the ropes, but you my friend are a great story teller, videographer, and more. Love the family aspect as well. Thanks, I'm subscribed for sure. God Bless.
Wow Will! Another great video! You are so good in storytelling. You inspire me for MY TH-cam channel. You are up there with Shaun in "The Story Till Now", maybe even better... sorry Shaun...LOL. Funny on that Clamato juice. I live in Canada and we drink this stuff in a mixed drink with other trimmings we call a "Ceasar". I prefer the virgin option but it is usually served with Vodka. Next time you are in Canada I suggest you try it with the celery salt around the rim. A few misspelled Venure, Ventre2Roam titles...proof I really watch your videos. LOL Can't wait for your next video. You surely merit a lot more subs. The quality of your edits will surely get you to 100,000 in little time. Stay safe. - Pierre 🙂
That typo is painful to see because it's just going to have to live there...I'm not taking the vid down (even though I kind of want to). Thanks for pointing it out, I'll make sure to do a typo sweep from now on. Really really appreciate your comment! Shaun is a friend and a collaborator, so I take that as very high praise..and I'd be lying if I said I didn't rip him off once in a while :). I hope you're prediction on my channel comes true. I'm so grateful for the growth we've had, but would love to see it get even bigger. Thanks again for taking the time to watch and comment!!!
@@Venture2Roam If you don't mind I might take a few cinematic and editing tip from your channel as well for my small 500+ YT channel. LOL A new patreon supporter as well...because I don't mind paying for great entertainment. - Pierre
The bear grass over here in McCall this year was overwhelming. That white stuff gets all over you when you walk through it. You should have stopped for Ice Cream at the Ice Cream Alley for some Hackle Berry Ice Cream. A one scoop cone is enough to feed four people!
We go to Ice Cream Alley often, what a great McCall institution. In all of our travels both in Idaho and abroad, McCall remains my favorite place on this earth. In the next vid when we hit the Magruder Corridor, we get into so much bear grass, it's just unbelievable. I cannot wait to get that vid out.
@@Venture2Roam Oh man I was totally on the wrong video when typing hahaha. But yes for sure come check us out. Theres a ton of great places to explore along the state line too - SO much open country! Really enjoyed watching your BDR vids though :-). The amount of diversity in forest types is amazing!

I think you have the best data. You might just call the forest service offices, they'll know. You can also check local facebook pages of local businesses in Elk City and Pierce - they usually have updates on the passes. We had a big snow year this year..and a cool/wet spring so far, so I'm not surprised to hear things are still covered. We went 2nd week of July last year and had just barely opened up.
Sooo clamato is popular here in mexico....the mexicans mix it 50/50 w beer...and throw in some hot sauce....heartburn city...but i guess when your beer tastes like battedy acid....you really need to doctor it up
I’m don’t think there’s anything you could do to Clamato juice to make me think it tastes good 😂. Kate love red beers and Bloody Mary’s. Me not so much lo. But I’ll give almost anything a try.

Nicely said. Knowing that there was so much more adventure to come was exciting, but not being able to share it with family was really hard.
One of the great things about exploring Idaho is, there's always something to see and marvel at over the next hill, or around the next bend.
I agree 100%. I love this place. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Thanks Brandon! I'm learning a ton while working on this series...fun to try new stuff!
WOW....A new bucketlist item!!!!! Very Cool
This trip was a total bucket list item for Chris and I...and actually added more to that list than we checked off :)
This BDR playlist is great Will. I’ve been watching it at work during my lunch breaks. Thanks for the exploration and the podcast.
So cool to read this. Thank for watching so glad to hear you are enjoying it. It was a wild ride!!

Been to that area a few times. One of my favorite places in Idaho!
It was my first time out there, and I'm definitely going back. Especially the Elk Summit/China Mountain areas. Thank for watching!!!
Those switchbacks will make you think twice. Nicely done.
They were pretty intimidating to see up close. It was really cool to drive them, but I was happy to get down to the river.
Love the interaction on this video. Mad it feel like I was with you all. Awesome video as always 🙌🏽
Thanks Gari! Need to get out on the trail together again bro.

Another great addition to the BDR series. Thank you for all the work you put into the videos showing off the beauty of our state.
Thank you! It’s pretty easy to make Idaho look good, it’s a spectacular place to call home. Really appreciate your comment!!
Love seeing parts of Idaho that I have not been to yet! Great storytelling as well as wonderful video.

So agree. That stretch was actually one of my favs n the whole route.
