I’ve watched this movie so many times now. I was pleasantly surprised. Like when I watched Hereditary. I wanted to know what came next. I don’t know if sequels would do any good. I think leaving it to the viewer’s imagination is part of the magic. You know doom is the finally chapter, but you can’t help but wonder how bad does it get. Same with cabin in the woods. I wanted to see the ancient titans destroy everything in true titan fashion.

The priests name is so similar to the priest from the Exorcist. I had to look it up to be sure there wasn't a connection between the two. But the priest in the Exorcist is Father Merrin, while in this film is Father Merrick.

The priests name is so similar to the priest from the Exorcist. I had to look it up to be sure there wasn't a connection between the two. But the priest in the Exorcist is Father Merrin, while in this film is Father Merrick.
