I loved it. This and Blood of Zeus. Castlevania and Castlevania Nocturnal were also awesome on Netflix. One on Prime that's awesome is Legend of Vox Machina.
As a Swede, always funny when englishspeaking people try to pronounce scandinavian names. Leif isn't prounounced as foliage. ^^ Also so many missconceptions. True the aesir and vanir did have a war. But became friends after and the two vanir gods Frey and Freya becaome of high status in Asgard. Also other vanir gods and goddesses did work togheter with the aesir like Gefjon took care of all the girls and women who died before they had been with a man. And the war was beacuse a vanir goddess gave the aesir gold feber pretty much and in revenge they killed that goddess and thus the was was on. Also Nifleheim wasn't to bad of a place as you pretty continued your old life unless you were an dishonest person. Then you were sent to the Narshores wish isn't a separate realm but a place in Nifleheim. Also the goddess was depicted wrong to as half of her body were very beautiful while the other half were blue and rotten. I read somewhere it was to symbolise the peaceful painless death (beatiful side) and the gruesome death (ugly side). Also the only god who had a specific achiles heel were Balder as he could only be killed by the mistletoe due to a blunder his mother did. Otherwise the gods were mortal and almost all of the main phanteon will die during Ragnarok. Liek Odin will get eaten by Fenrir, Thor kill Jörmungandr but will die of the snake's venomous breath. Frey will be cleaved in half by Surt and Tyr and Loki will kill eachother. The survivors will rebuild the world with a resurected Baldur who fleed from Nifleheim as it's chieftain (so no Jesus ressurection) with his brother Hödr by his side. But yeah just as Mjölner doesn't care if you are worthy as Marvel think, you don't need special weapons to kill the gods. Tiwats is also another name for Tyr and is an aesir. King and queen och the vanir are Njord and Njerd who are the parents of the siblings Frey and Freya. And before someone say chill, it is just a show, I can imagine the outrage if they made a similar series depicting Jesus as a man whore or Muhammed as gay.

I didn't care for this netflix series. Somehow, a series that's based on Viking lore, but for some reason features all the male characters in it, with the exception of the main villian, as inept feebs who need to be lead around by the female characters had a ghostbusters 2016 vibe that just didn't resonate with me.
This tracks more with the third person PC adventure RPG game, "Dusk", which also pulled from Norse Mythology, but also had hints of Beowulf and other legends.

Sigrid's was that she'd kill a different God from the one she intended to kill. So basically Ivaldi's weapons are trolls. They give you immense power, but deny you of using it to achieve the one thing you want most. Hervor wanted Valhalla = no Valhalla. Sigrid wanted Thor dead = she kills his brother instead. Not sure yet what Leif's weapon will cause, but since he took it up to protect Sigrid, you can probably guess where that's going...
