Karen Kluba is the designer of Rosewood Manor....and I don't know if Stacy Nash is the designer behind Stacy Nash Primitives, but Stacy Nash is not the same as Rosewood Manor.....at least I don't think so!! So many designers!!! Something for everyone. :-)

I absolutely love your snowman quilt! I like medium projects, not as small as ornaments but not as large as samplers. I definitely don’t do full coverage like HAED.

So many beautiful things you girls share! Carol, I love your snowman quilt, and Jen, your wind drifter quilt is gorgeous - I love the cream colored background fabric from Teresa Kogut. I'm so glad you had a great time with your family and everyone got along - that's a big accomplishment as everyone grows :) Happy stitching!

Carol I was ready to offer you my 15 yr old Yorkie…then you said no small yippy dogs. 🤣🤣. He’s deaf, almost blind, but my love. Small or medium projects that I can finish fairly quickly….can’t imagine going a HAEDS. I like to finish things! Merry Christmas!

Oh, everyone's Wind Drifter quilt tops are stunning! Love all the different color ways.
Love your starts and finishes, too.
I wish I had the patience like Beth to work on a HEAD. When I had younger eyes, I completed a lot of big projects, however now I usually work on medium projects. Is 200 stitches a medium projects?
    Hugs!

    Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
I like to stitch projects I can stitch over 3-5 evenings or less. I guess most would be considered smalls.
    Enjoyed the visit as usual.

Hi Carol and Jen, the two of you are the busiest crafters. You both got so much accomplished since the last time and even with company. 👏👏👏 Beautiful family pictures. 💕💕 I always have a HAED going, I love the full coverage. But I like to stop for a couple of weeks (I say couple loosely) and work on a Cricket Collection size piece. Stay Safe. Stay Healthy. Happy Stitching. ❤❤❤ Merry Christmas 🎄🎁🎄🎁🎄

Y'all made me laugh several times today, but the "bra" was the best! Oh, you two are a hoot!! Love all your finishes; you were both b-u-s-y!! I do have one big (for me -- 14K stitches) piece ready for a January 2023 start, but mostly I stick to medium-sized stuff with some smaller things thrown in to give me some actual finishes. I'm the slowest stitcher on the planet. 🙂

Great to spend some time with you ladies as always. So happy you had a great Thanksgiving and I had to chuckle when you talked about how much food everyone ate...especially the teenage eating machines and the dip!! Sounds familiar. Love the snowman quilt, such a treasure and all the amazing Wind Drift quilts, just gorgeous. You do some wonderful stitching and always have fun things to show. I am mainly a smaller projects, stitcher.... ornaments, small pillows, and the occasional framed size piece. Merry Christmas to you and your families!

My favorite project is annual Prairie Schoolar Santa size. As for quilting, bed size always. I find it’s too much work to finish a small quilt that will never be loved or used. Lol I don’t decorate with quilts. I like bed size only. Ones that can be thrown on the floor, hugs when things are going great and snuggled under. I like them used and loved. Merry Christmas.

Another fun Flosstube gals! Your Windrifters are gorgeous. Love your socks, Carol and your pillow is so pretty, Jennifer. I crochet also but that pattern really looks difficult. I usually enjoy stitching small or medium patterns. I think full coverages are gorgeous but not for me.

Love the wonderful gift of your snowman quilt..I don't think I'll ever do a HAED, did some medium ones.. but I always go back to my really large ones like pandemic. I am a progress stitcher and I just like to stitch and I don't really care if I never finish. When I do finish I just stick it in the box because someday I'll just stick them all together somehow and make a quilt. I started a couple smalls and I haven't finished one yet because it will go too fast. Love watching you two!!

I have a HAED kitted and ready to go for 5+ years and I’m afraid to start it, no idea when it will be started, if ever. I like medium size mostly, I’d say 8x10” is a favorite. Don’t really do smalls or ornaments because they are hard for me to hold. I work best on a QSnap.

I enjoyed seeing your wonderful finishes and WIPS. Love the quilt that everyone did in different colours. It's always so interesting to see what a different colour choice makes in how a pattern looks. Jennifer's embroidered flower pattern is beautiful, well done! And your breast pillow also looks lovely lol. Take care, and happy stitching, and in cases you're not back before the holidays, hope you and your families have a very merry Christmas.

I'm glad you had such a wonderful family holiday. The time frame isn't what's important for Christmas gatherings, its the time spent together. You both have beautiful stitching, knitting, crochet and quilting projects. I think a medium project is my favorite size. I am pretty much monogamous and I would like to think that I will eventually finish what I'm working on so no large for me.

Hi guys. Just want to pass on some info. Carol is looking for a dog so I would like to tell you to check out Standard Poodles In Need. They have dogs looking for a home. They are a wonderful organization. We have two staffs two brothers Sawyer and Chance. We are retired so they are very spoiled. We had another Standard that I adopted when her owner passed. She lived to be 16 1/2 and again wonderful breed. So I hope you look into the organization. Standards are very smart sweet and Katie sold me onmy boys! We use to have Scottie a have scottyand Westie. I hope you are blessed to have one! Both genders are great!! Good luck!! Love watching your videos and I wish I had a daughter to share this with. Happy holidays and keep on stitching!!

Happy Holidays to you and your family as well!! As always your projects are amazing and I am really envious of your ability to actually do your own quilting. My dream is having my own long arm one day, but then I want a loom too and our house is very small. I love doing large projects, no coverall for me, but as I look at my WIPS most of them are classified as large or BAP. I do some smaller ones sprinkled in during the year so I can feel like I'm actually getting something finished. My quilts are almost all king size quilts, I've only actually finished 2 quilts, have two that just need assembling, and then have completed one baby and one twin. I have done a ton of rag quilts for all of my family and those are all well loved.

So happy to see your berry. I stitched my first berry a year ago because of her and then joined the berry SAL. I've been having so much fun. Doesn't matter that the topper is big because you made it work. If you want, you can lay a circle over the top to see size as all of that depends on the fabric count. Congrats on the FFO.

I tend to do small projects although I have also done large ones too! I have no interest in stitching a heaven & earth full coverage piece! I’m just about to finish Winter Rose Manor which has taken me 2 years to complete - that is as large as I like! How special the snowman quilt is for Carol! I love snowmen & live stitching snowmen! Paulette Stewart is Plum Street Samplers, so that might break her tie. I have several of her patterns, including This Happy Morning that continues to be a WIP into 2023. I think I like smalls that are finishable before I get distracted by another design or the season changes! I am definitely a seasonal stitcher. I do enjoy Christmas in July, but otherwise I am just not in the mood for “off season” designs. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have just finished binge watching all your episodes and thoroughly enjoyed them! You guys crack me up! Just like the two of you, I enjoy cross-stitching, quilting, knitting and crocheting. I usually go to a yearly quilt retreat in May and I am going to plan to do the Wind Drifter quilt this year. I have never been to a stitching retreat, so I will have to find one close to NH that I can attend. I just started my granddaughter on her first beginners stitching project this year, so hopefully she will catch the bug and progress as she gets older. I'm glad I found your channel and hopefully can stop by Persnickety for a visit on one of my cross-country trips.
I enjoy all stitching projects. I usually have one large project going that will take me a while. (Jenn, don't feel bad......I had to laugh when you pulled out the quilt that you had made for someone's wedding back in 2011. I found a wedding cross-stitch project I made for my cousin who was married in 1990! ). But I also have to have small or medium projects going so that I can switch off to break up the monotony of only working on the large project. I enjoy holiday or themed projects, and occasionally a sampler will catch my eye. Both of my children are in the Air Force, so I also enjoy working on anything patriotic. (My daughter was with the Thunderbirds for 4 years and I know she participated in one of the flyovers at the 500 a few years back).

I'm so glad you enjoyed your time together with your family! I loved that last family picture of the grandkids and grandparents re-creating that earlier photo! Jenn, I love that Tiny Modernist winter bell pull. Good for you for taking on that border! Carol, the snowman quilt is adorable! Did you happen to watch Colorado Cross Stitcher's (Sheri) latest flosstube? She collects snowmen and she showed a picture of her collection. She has a bunch! She also just designed a cross stitch pattern called Snowman Collector. It's cute! You may want to check it out. And Jenn, Arlene Cohen, who is the designer behind Works By ABC (also her flosstube name), had a whole discussion in either her last flosstube or the one before it about floche. Is the Crab Apple Hill a transfer? Or do you have to use a light box and trace? When I first came back to x-stitching, I did not realize different brands of the same color floss were available. Several orders later, I figured it out!!

What a great video! Fun to hear about your Thanksgiving and see your family. Reminded me of gatherings we used to have. “Live so that memories are part of your happiness”. A quote I love. Your ski stories were interesting! My husband loves skiing but hasn’t gone for a long time. I went downhill with him once, where he took me on a slope I wasn’t ready for. Never again for me. We bought cross country equipment. That is my speed. Have not done that in a long time but did enjoy. What a great quilt, and the story behind it. ⛄️⛄️⛄️🌲🌲

That’s the most gorgeous snowman quilt I have ever seen! I adore ⛄️ too! If I could quilt I would be searching for that pattern! Right now! Lovely stitching ladies, your finished pieces are lovely❤! Happy Dec to you both! I have all sizes of stitches from a HAED to Mirabilia and smalls, everything in between! I am finding I enjoy maybe 10 by 19 size much more than a huge stitch! Could be age😊😂😊

I prefer medium to slightly larger projects; my go to is samplers or Quaker’s. One color project with hand dyed floss is my absolute favorite ❤️🤗‼️Merry Christmas 🎄.

I love ❤❤❤❤❤ that snowman quilt and the way they did the trees and blocks. I get a lot of frames at the $1.25 store. I’ve also used stretcher bars and painted those and canvases at the $1.25 store (so much easier when it was the $ store) to stretch a project over. And, I like stitching letters, too. Great video. Thanks. Happy Birthday, Carol(e). I’m working on a red strip quilt while designing a blue strip quilt in my head and stitching twenty individual hummingbirds of the world while asking myself…what were you thinking!!!

Happy Holidays! Lovely stitches, knitting/crochet, and those quilts are amazing! I actually prefer a medium size stitch. In early Nov, I did a couple of smalls and although it was fun for a change I don't think I would do them regularly.

Carol's snowman quilt is such a lovely project with her friends, and in addition to being beautiful it must evoke wonderful memories each time you see it!
I tend to stitch medium sized projects, but also enjoy mixing that up with smalls so i have the sense of accomplishment from finishing things. I was doing 2 projects this year that were monthly releases, so no way to just focus on them and finish early since I didn't have the full pattern!

Your snowman quilt is absolutely stunning, and all of your quilts are amazing. I love all your cross stitch finishes too. You two are such a joy to watch and I'm always so inspired by the projects that you show. I love to do all sizes of projects but tend to gravitate to the medium size ones more as they're not quite as daunting.

My favourite size project is probably 10.000-30.000 stitches. Don't think I will ever stitch anything with more than 90.000 stitches. I also enjoy stitching small projects.

I enjoy watching the wonderful relationship between the two of you. I loved seeing all your stitched pieces, as well as the variety of Wind Drifter quilts. I love quilts, but don't quilt, and I'm not going down that rabbit hole! I received 2 of Emma Congdon's books last Christmas, and took them to my local Staples, and had them spiral bound. There might have been one or two stitches from a chart that got in the way of the spiral, but it's so much easier to work from the patterns. It was under $10 total to have this done. I probably prefer the medium sized charts, though usually have a larger sized (Artecy or Kustom Krafts) one on the go, and do a small LK size occasionally as well.

Your friends made you an awesome snowman quilt Carol! 💞 ty for answering my question about the dyeing . I'm adding Leisure Arts to the cross stitch list as I believe I bought most of the patterns I own in the 80/90s from them . Have I stitched them....no lol . Patterns from that time now look so romantically Victorian! Just an idea Jennifer but the wood serveitte holder could be used for a 4 seasons project where you display on the front the current season and store the other 3 behind in the slot!

Your snowman quilt is so thoughtful and wonderful, such good friends you have. The QAL photos were great, I don't quilt but this certainly made we start thinking about it. I usually do small projects, ornaments, coasters, etc. but I have purchased a year long SAL for 2023 from MFE that I am very excited about. I am glad both had such a nice time with your visiting family.
