Just finished watching your latest floss tube while stitching in a rocking chair that has been in the family over 100 years. I moved the chair from our beroom to the den, because honestly, I find it the most comfortable of all the chairs we own. Great back support. I watched this video while my pumpkin bundt cake was cooling . I am in charge of dessert for our quilting bee tomorrow. I like seeing WIP parades and kit parades. Have fun college hunting. Our second granddaughter is a junior this year and I was invited to go along to visit some colleges this fall. I very much enjoyed that time with our oldest granddaughter who is now a freshman at Dickinson college.

You two have a great floss tube! I enjoy hearing the answers to your questions! To easily place magnets on a board, glue the magnets to the board first, then set magnets on those and put glue on the top of those. Set your stitched piece on top. Leave everything in place for the glue to dry thoroughly. You can then separate the pieces. When you want to attach a different piece, place a new set of magnets on top of the board magnets, put glue on top of those, and set your new piece on top and let dry.

Carol and Jennifer!!! Greetings from Dallas!! It’s always such a joy to get your flosstubes!! You two are seriously one of my favorite flosstubers! I stitch in my living room on the sofa. I have an end table next to the sofa where I set all my supplies so it’s very convenient. Pumpkin. Thanks so much for all you two do!! Hugs!!! ❤️

Hi Carol and Jen. Thank you for the fun update and for showing some older pieces - I always enjoy those 😊. Congratulations on your finishes and FFOs! Even though I'm not too good at it yet, I do love to quilt. And yes, please, to a parade of any description. Also love stitch with me videos.⚘️
I stitch on an office chair at the dining table (with a foot stool under the table). Lots of space, good light during the day, and a power point for my magnifying light at night.

Thank you for another great video. I love watching you both and congratulations on 60 episodes. That quilt is stunning. The colours are so bright and go together beautifully. I have so many projects that need finishing. You both have stunning projects and finishes. I have a recliner in the lounge that I stitch in while watching TH-cam with my earbuds in! But on holiday I stitch anywhere and am lucky I can stitch in the car, on a boat, in a plane etc etc. Thanks again.

I enjoy your FT so much, but I usually forget to comment- so here’s my comment this time! All of your FFO’s are beautiful and very motivating to me. I need to get my box of FO’s out and turn them into FFO’s. My favorite spot to stitch is at our island in the kitchen. I stitch in hand and so I love to have a desk or other surface to rest my elbows on. 2nd place is on the couch with a lap desk. I use a light/ mag and on the couch I end up with too much on my lap though 😏. Sometimes I stitch in our backyard. Never in bed. On vacation, i love it if our hotel room has a desk- that becomes my stitchy spot. Have a wonderful few weeks and hapoy stitching!

I always start to answer your question and then get insecure and delete it, and when you talk about the answers I'm sad I didn't answer 😂😅
I stitch mostly on my couch, I have a lot of pain so I have to sit in a very specific way and not forget anything and get up because it takes a while to get seated. But my boyfriend is very kind and brings me the things I forgot because he thinks I look too cozy in my "little nest" 😊
Your fireworks quilt looks amazing 🤩. Lizzie probably loves walks in the snow ❄️

I love kit parades!! I like to sit and stitch at my desk in my home office. I like that I can easily get up to take care of something and everything (stand, light, tools, floss, stitching, etc) stays in it's place and I can pick right back up where I left off. I also stitch at my cutting table in my sewing room or the dining table at my mom's house. I'm afraid my adorable, but naughty dog would take off with my stitchy stuff if I had it on or near the sofa. Lizzie snow quilt

So excited when I see you have another flosstube up. I usually sit in my sewing room in front of my large screen TV watching you and others. I sewed costumes for years for our local playhouse the last one I sewed was for the Tinman, as I recall it had 70 something pieces and was a metallic stiff fabric. It was in the middle of July and the first night the air conditioner broke down, the fabric did not breath ,felt so bad for the Tinman. Lizzie Kate is on the top 3 designers I love, and Fall and winter snow patterns are some of my favorites. By the way I completed Weekend in Paris, you were the enabler, it is for a friend's birthday coming up. I will NEVER do another Dimension chart. Grrrr. Hugs to you both.

I definitely think you should do a kit parade. Lizzie might show up holding her pumpkin latte in her hands. All the rain you got came over to Dayton but missed exactly where I live. So glad to see your video show up tonight. I just finished a scrappy quilt tonight. The front has been done for a few weeks, but I'm making a "Frankenstein" backing to use up all the scraps from the front. I just about gave up on it, but did persevere. So it's ready to be quilted.
My stitching spot is in my living room recliner. I have a whole "nest" surrounding me with all the essentials.

Another fun Flosstube!! Jen you asked for a suggestion on how to attach magnets. Keep the magnets together, put glue one end, then attach it to one of the boards. Leave the magnets together and put glue on the other end of the magnets and attach it to the other board. The only thing that might be a little difficult is to center the two boards. I hope that makes sense and that it works for you. Carol, I love your quilt!

To line up magnets. Glue magnets onto the back of your stitching. Then attach the mate of the magnets you have already glued in place. Now put glue on the mated magnet, with the 2 still joined. Now place your stitched piece on your framing board.

Jennifer, when using the magnet attachment just glue your magnet down where you would like it. Then when that is dry, attach the opposing magnet, or washer, put glue on the side facing you and then apply your finished piece. I push down gently and let sit for a few days. I put a towel on top of the piece and a book on top of the towel. When you're ready gently use a little pressure, to remove the stitched piece, until the magnet or washer releases from opposing magnet. I know I was stumped at first too.! My favorite place to sew and cross stitch is in my sewing room. I sit on my sewing chair at a table facing the tv to do my stitching. Happy Fall!

I Kit-Up a bunch every weekend, so YES, a Kit Parade would be fun. Maybe a question to ask, Do you have kitted Ups in stages? Fully Kitted, Needs Fabric, missing a couple Floss skeins, like purple. If you glue the magnets to your board, then put a washer onto it, add a tiny bit of glue to washer, then plop your stitched piece down. Let dry OR in reverse, washer glued onto piece, once dried add magnet then glue it to board. Make sure the washer will work with a magnet, some are not magnetic. That white charm will work, snow color. I stitch either in my craft room or TV room sitting in a chair, occasionally out on our patio.

The Daisy Barrel is where my cross stitch journey began! It was actually in Fairborn, just east of Dayton, and I was so sad that it closed. I have two stitching places. Downstairs in a recliner in the family room and upstairs in my sewing room (the Tower) in a less than comfortable chair.

You are at the bottom of my subscription list so in order to give everyone equal viewing I’ve started scrolling to the bottom half way through so I wouldn’t miss anything from all of the T,s and S,s at the bottom of the list. My primary stitching spot is in my recliner in the family room, but my dog likes to go to bed at 7 pm, so I finish the day stitching in bed. I thought of a viewers’ question for the future based on something Jennifer said. Do you stitch your initials in finished projects or otherwise mark them? I don’t do initials, unless it’s charted for them, but I write all the details of the project on a library card and attach it to the back of framed pieces.
