Ryoma's ranking didn't meet my expectations...it surpassed them. I did not expect him to be given scores that broke the ratings system, though given everything I listed in your prior community post, it absolutely makes sense.
Easily the most tragic character in the entire franchise, and no, my mind will not be changed on this.
Yeah, Ibuki was violently strangled to death by Mikan and you say she didn't feel pain? Silly or not, she clearly had a horrible demise. In fact she probably remembered being a member of the UD in her final moments.

I’m not sure if anyone has said this yet but Nagitos frontotemperal dementia is not what’s killing him. It’s his lymphoma (lymphatic cancer). Frontotemperal dementia does effect how the person may act but it is not something that kills someone overtime.
Yeah, the cancer would kill him faster than complications from FTD would, but I’ve heard that because of his ultimate luck, one year keeps getting added to his lifespan, so he has lived much longer than he was supposed to.
FTD is also very deadly.

I should point out that Sonia, as a princess, has to hide away any negative emotions. Especially if she's the victim of a kidnapping, which already happened twice before she entered the killing game. Her final Free Time Event even has her spilling her emotions onto Hajime's shoulder.

Byakuya is definitely wrong. Sure, he seemed totally unfazed by the killing game but that's because he was basically born into a killing game of sorts. He was forced to fight his own siblings to- what he believed to be- the death, and despite not showing much empathy for the people in the killing game, says his need to win comes from the emotional weight of ruining several peoples lives. That's also why he freaked out so much in chapter 4, thanks to his childhood he's deathly afraid of failing or making a mistake. I also know there's a manga starring him and apparently he was beaten by his father if he slipped up on anything and was... abused... by his step sister. I don't know if the manga is canon or not though. He should be a 9 or 10 in mental pain.
Nagito should definitely be a 10 in emotional pain, he's endured an unbelievable amount of trauma to the point where he's apathetic to just about everything. Honestly he might deserve the same score as Ryoma.
Fuyuhiko should also be a 10 in emotional pain imo, he's an inherently kind person who was born into a family that hated him for it and forced him to become a violent criminal. He was also canonically abused by his parents and lost the only two people that cared about him.
Also minor correction but Mikan didn't because a nurse to cope she became a nurse to pray on sick and injured people for her sexual pleasure.
Yeah I think Mikan while she was bullied, and maybe even sexually harassed by her family and stuff, she's not the poor innocent pure nurse everyone says she is. Also she has a victim complex, and purposefully trips and gets herself hurt for attention.
I don't think mikan became a nurse for sexual pleasure but to feel she is more powerful since these sick people would need her
@@KlaviceGavin Her victim complex is not malevolent because while she admitted to like people giving him some slack she never tried to get away when people were angry when she chased Hajime with a needle, and to be fair she's actually a victim of Hiyoko so it would be factually wrong to say she has a victim complex.
But I agree that she's not innocent because she's like 19, probably knows a lot about sexs and everything about human body which is not innocent and she's a literal nympho.
She became a nurse because she had to tend her wounds herself and she kinda just became an expert at nursing. But yeah she derives pleasure from sick people too.

I'd argue Tsumugi should have 10 for mentally suffering.
She grew up in a world where a killing game reality show is accepted because the outside world uses it cope with their boring lives.
Her obsession for fiction deluded her into thinking turning real people into fictional characters just to kill each other for a show is ok. Tsumugi genuinely believes she's nothing without fiction, and Danganronpa when given the job to work for Team Danganronpa.
She was given the opportunity to direct and mastermind the 53rd season. She gave up everything and put so much work into her creation. But the season she directed, along with the characters she wrote lead to the end of the franchise, and the fans wanting nothing to do with the show anymore. She's so distraught that she doesn't care about her own death, not wanting to return to the outside world without Danganronpa.

I think Mikan deserves 10-10-10. In her free time events she tells us many of the horrible and painful things she was forced to do, such as serving or putting out cigarettes or as a target for darts, eating bugs and other disgusting things, denigrating herself with imitations and even undressing. She was brutally abused physically, mentally, emotionally, and sexually throughout her life until she entered Kibougamine (the bullying Hiyoko received was even compassionate compared to everything she had suffered before). All these abuses caused her enormous self-esteem problems and physical complexes, fear of social interaction, emotional instability, ease of manipulation, absolute dependence on others, extreme fear of being unnecessary and above all hated, among several other things. She became a nurse thanks to the fact that she had to heal herself the injuries suffered both inside and outside the home. Also, because sick or injured people depend on her, it makes her feel needed, and therefore they won't hate her. It's not some kind of sexual power fantasy, she just wants to feel needed by others Also, because of all this, he was the first person who fell into despair and was manipulated by Junko and in a worse way than with the othersothers

I feel like Nagito also experienced quite a lot of emotional pain.
Don't forget he found out everyone he had spent weeks admiring, and he himself were mass murderers and terrorists, and they all stood against everything he stood for, and worst of all, HE betrayed himself by siding against the one thing that he loved with all his heart, even if conceptually. That's gotta hurt so goddamn much man.

I think she would have suffered a lot mentally: she hated her life and tried to creare a complete new identity to be different and love herself; also, her complete mental breakdown at the trial reveals how much stress and pain she was enduring. Definitely an ass*ole but still 🧐

Ryomas backstory in short is that he won a tennis game against the mafia so the mafia killed ryomas family and cat ryoma even tried to protect his girlfriend but the mafia killed her and Ryoma wanted revenge and killed the mafia leader and went to jail for it
And lastly I'm gonna explain korekiyos basically his sister that he loved romanticly died due to a sickness and he wanted his sister to have friends so he decided that he's gonna kill 100 girls his sisters age (he only made it to 99)
From what I remember and understand, Korekiyo's "romantic" relationship is pretty messed up, on top of incest already being messed up. Kiyo looks up to his sister, a lot, but she is bedridden and cannot leave her hospital room. Despite her state Onee-san also wanted to feel love. So she groomed (??) her younger brother, seemingly the only guy she sees regularly, into entering a relationship with her, to which Kiyo happily accepts.

Im just over here wondering how on Earth someone thinks TB is not a dealbreaker for going to space. It's frankly too dangerous for him to be so far away from medical attention where the other astronauts could easily catch it.
Also, I'm glad to see Kiyo mentioned. You don't get your dead sister as an alter without some intense suffering.
I BEG to differ on Celeste's part. It was revealed during her confession and motive during the trial that she, despite her calm composure throughout the entire time, was panicked on how to leave, as well as that her not regarding hers or others lives was a lie she had convinced herself of. The internal panic she couldn't express to keep up with her façade and the way she literally manipulated herself into believing she didn't care ranks her at least a 5/10 on mental and emotional pain. To top that, she also has such an impending fear of failure, to the point she changed her name to one she believed was worthy of a winner, that the devastation she must've felt, (inwardly of course because she needs to remain calm outwardly in order to continue living the lies), when being caught as a murderer, thus failing, moves her up to at least a 6-7/10 on mental and emotional pain.

If only they had went a little more in the depth about his backstory before the murder happened and add one or two personality traits to teruteru out of being a perv most of the time, i would have felt more emotionally attached to his character and might cry about his death
During that scene in Chapter 2 of V3, the only thing I wanted to do was give Ryoma a hug. It's bad enough finding out that your loved ones are in danger, but to realise that no one in the outside world wants you to survive a killing game when you're already suicidal...

Mukuro was abused by her sister frequently in the anime
Byakuya actually has a very traumatic backstory, play his free time events, his father forced him to battle against his half siblings and the killing game probably reminded him of that trauma
Hiro was a killing game survivor too
Gundham is actually implied to have(although ambiguous free time events) some issues with his father
You also left out Nagito's trauma- not to mention how much the killing game must have effected him

I feel like Tenko's Physical Pain rank should be higher. She got stabbed with a sickle that went through her neck, from back to front. Plus in the investigation afterwards, Maki said that the wound definitely killed her, but probably not on impact. You could literally choose to lie about this exact topic in the trial, making the possibility of Tenko bleeding out before dying likely. With the pain of a blade going through your neck and the shock that comes from being stabbed so suddenly, Tenko's physical pain should really be higher.
