- In this video I will explain all foreshadowing in Danganronpa. Danganronpa is very clever and hides hints towards the greater plot in multiple ways, you have definitely missed some of these hints and I will explain all of them.
The goal of this video is for you to understand the clever details that has been put in making Danganronpa, and that it is more than just a mystery game.
This video is intentionally designed to be able to be watched spoiler-free after finishing the first game and anime.

In the anime, as he's dying, he says that they were friends forever. It's dismissed as him spitting nonsense, but it turns out this was true.
Celestia says something like “ALL OF YOU WILL BURN ALIVE!!!”

Honestly I though the line where Kyoko says :
"Mukuro Ikusaba. The sixteenth student, lying hidden somewhere in this school. The one they call the Ultimate Despair. Watch out for her."
was a pretty popular meme because it foreshadowed that Mukoro was indeed lying (dead) somewhere in the school.

in the anime, there is a scene that shows Chihiro in his room with his computer, this is giving a clue of him making the alter ego, in the same scene right next to it there was a toolbox, which is a material that only boys receive
His bed is also blue in his room
I remember doing Yasuhiro's free time saying that their children would have the same mother...and I then I got the bad end just to see what happened, and realised that his prediction was right.
Getting the good ending is basically prooving Yasuhiro wrong lmao

Another thing to note is that he says his predictions are correct 30% of the time. Only 1 of the 3 dialogue options lead to the bad ending. So if your choosing at random you have about 33% chance of getting the bad end.
I paused on that line and started screaming when he said that-
If im correct the bad ending was in Makoto's head which was why Kyoko died (idk how he knew about the type of execution). I think he remembered what Yasuhiro said about children which lead him to think that. It being in Makoto's head is why there was that last bit of dialogue.
There's one more foreshadowing in this game. In the third chapter, Hifumi's dying words:
"I remember now... Hope's Peak..."
"I remember... everything..."
"Before.... I'd met you... all..."
"I'd met... you all...*
Byakuya mentioned that he had nothing useful to say but it turns out he actually did say something that was useful and no one even remembers it.
I hope I'm not the only one who didn't notice that.

Theres 1 more i think when mukuro 1st died monokuma called the mighty spear gungnir whitch in certain norse mythology killed fenrir and its later revealed mukuro is apart of fenrir

Here are some more interesting ones that I found in TVTropes:
- In the fourth chapter, during the third free time slot, you can find Sakura alone in the chem lab, standing next to chemical closet A. She mutters to herself that she's not ready to open up yet, and if you try to hang out with her she explicitly asks Makoto if he's willing to stand by her, but won't initiate a Free Time Event. As it turns out, she later does something funny with poison found in closet C because even if Makoto and Hina will stand by her, the others likely won't ever again, and during the investigation Hina swaps it with a protein can she took from closet A.
- An early-game blackboard says it belongs to a "secret beauty". Initially reads like typical blackboard nonsense... except that very accurately describes Junko's takeover and current situation.
Considering how some of these are kind of stretches, I was expecting Mondo's reaction to finding Chihiro's body to appear.
0:37 "Got to climb real high where the rope is" That always reminded me of Kirumi's execution

Monokuma saying he was hibernating for two years isn’t just talking about the lost memories but the fact that Junko (and Mukuro) were waiting those two years before enacting their plan. They were in hibernation, waiting for the time to set things in motion.
For when you do V3, during the first trial gonta says he watched the bug video to prepare himself to fight monokuma, and i think it was Tsumugi who said: were you trying to imagine yourself as a mantis with swords for hands. Which i think is foreshadowing how gonta was killed
For Goodbye Despair, the Wizard of Monomi foreshadows what happens to Nekomaru via the Tin Man
when "junko" dies you can see mukuro's freckles
I'm not sure if it's foreshadowing or not, but in one of the monokuma theaters monokuma says that what if we were the last humans and being in a ship, like the noah arc. That's EXACTLY the situation in V3

By the way, I found foreshadowing in free time Miu with Shuichi. When she shows him her inventions, one of them shows how many people have had sex and Miu is very surprised at the result it showed on Shuichi. I lead to the fact that earlier the participants in the Killing Game were other people, and quite bad in Shuichi's pregame may have had frequent sexual intercourse
I thought it was a reference to the fact that he sleeps with every mine in the live suite events lol

You missen 2 Foreshadows. Firstly, The Name of chapter 5: 100 Mile run; Paul of a Junk food junky. "Junk food junky" is just a foreshadow of the Mastermind "junk"-o enoshima. Secondly, in chapter 5, while everyone waits for kyoko to arrive. Sie comes Late, saying, that she Broke no rules. Monokuma, in his Anger of wating for her, says something along the lines of:"ill make Sure you are sorry for that later". Which is a foreshadow to the Bad Ending, where monokuma executes kyoko. Ergo making her be sorry for it.
i think that the double monokuma one could also foreshadow the junko they saw at first not being the real junk enoshima

Can't believe an anime that came out in 2013 foreshadowed characters from a 2017 game!
I noticed that if you step into the toolshed on the 5th floor in the botanical garden, there's a black, white, and red lawnmower. The brand says Monokuro, which isn't a name recognisable from any of the bears from the Danganronpa games. Does this signify Mono (like Monokuma) Kuro (Like Mukuro Ikusaba?) Working for the MM, this might work because it ties in with the "16th student" Meme/line that Kyoko told us the night before.

Celeste also murders the person who helped her orchestrate her entire plan similar to Junko.
Infact there are many similarites between Celeste and Junko. 1 unique one is that Celestia and Junko aren't their real names.

You see, Chihiro's final free time event basically spoils his murderer. He says he is going to the locker room with Mondo, he dies in the locker room. Thats how I knew Mondo was the killer.
3:18 - As a fun fact, the technical reason her face is covered up here is because the magazines are actually using an early version of Mukuro's full body design instead.
in the first class trial Kyoko shows makoto a message by sayaka that she wrote to Leon when she tried to kill him, she got the message by shading over the paper and Aoi says she's seen people do that on detective shows, which kind of foreshadows that Kyoko is the ultimate detective (if it wasn't obvious as shit)

Im gonna put this out there, i dont think the anime opening is a foreshadow to v3, i get that these are stretches however if i am correct the og director for THH and the V3 director are different, and i havent looked this up but i also think the anime was made waaaaay before V3 because it went on to be both a prequel and a sequel to the games.
I watched a video where someone made a video of Danganronpa 1 anime opening mixed with V3.
It explains why it got so well with now.

I actually found another piece of foreshadowing regarding chapter 4. To my knowledge, the following interaction is 100% skippable, you can easily proceed with the game and never know it exists, but it's there, and it made me lose my gay ass mind. Basically, right before Monokuma gives the motive for chapter 4, you will run into Sakura in the hallway right outside the gym. If you talk to her, she will start to ask you something about Hina, but then she'll stop herself, and with a smile on her face, she'll follow it up with something like, "Why would you believe in someone who doesn't believe in themselves?" And then she just fukkin leaves.
LIKE BRUUUUUH, even Makoto is concerned AF after that, like I had to pause my game and scream into the void for a few minutes holy shit

V3 Spoilers:
Good foreshadowing is something thats only obvious in hindsight imo. The Chihiro thing is most definitely foreshadowing and is an example of that. V3 is filled with other examples of that as they constantly do things that only make sense if its being in a show but the ones doing it are Monokuma and his kids, which people on a first playthrough attribute it as nonsense that those characters are known to spew out. Also Tsumugi which players don’t notice because people just attribute the references she makes as her being a weeb, but really she is doing it for the audience.
@@jakalder Yea, Kaedes free time with her she hints that it's all fake. She calls you the main character, that she's just a background character and brings up you promised to say a line. Also straight up calls you a fictional character. For Shuichi she desperately wants him to think she's plain and warns him about cults and con artists which foreshadows a lot. Looking back she does a lot of great foreshadowing.
I noticed recently, as you are preparing for class trial, there is text appearing on botton of a screen, that looks like from news television. For first time player it looks like just normal summary of what happened thia chapter and describing the murder, and it of surely is that. But if you're replaying the game it hits you like stone that this is heavily linked to fact that all of events are broadcastin and this news text is for people watching the killing game.
5:50 also, in one of the anime scenes, u can see chihiro with his laptop working on something, there is a very openly and obviously toolkit right there.. only the boys have tool kits lol
In the part of the anime where mukuro is killed monokuma talks about her knowing the rules saying "you know that violation against the headmaster is punishable"this tells us mukuro knew the rules from junko
