    Nice work. I recently had to pull my bumper off my Model 3 to save about $2k in repairs. I was able to fix what needed fixing myself and it was very satisfying. You're very fortunate that the black plastic spacer under those three top bolts didn't fall out. Getting that back in there and staying in place to re-fasten the bumper was a major PIA until I finally figured out the secret... Again, very nice work and enjoyed your video! Cheers.

    Hey man, thats a excellent DIY/POV video. I like it that you leave in your oopsies and booboos. Super glue and flex tape will fix it right up.
    I'd just like to say, dude... what a beautiful machine you have there. Even with the covers removed from the frunk. Everything is really neatly engineered into place. Nice ride!

      One thing I kind of cut out because I was cussing too much and my 🍑 was hanging out was those plastic connectors across the bottom were a major pain!! I appreciate you watching and thanks for the comment!

    Wow, cool that you just jumped into fixing the headlight, hats off to you
    So I’m posting bc my drivers side headlight on my 21 model 3 just stopped working. My service mode says it’s a problem with firmware and ecu is either dead or just talking anymore 😢. I’m gonna doing the same as you here shortly so I’m glad to see it’s not super difficult to fix it myself 😊

    I wonder if the procedure is similar to have the headlight housing realigned? One headlight has a larger gap between the top of the light and the fender. Tesla mobile service is coming out and they better not tell me it's within spec.

      @@Crazypostman Came across your video, because just this morning, I noticed my driver side headlight was out. The whole light. Parking light, headlight and bright headlight, all dead. Weird thing is, the car didn’t even give me a message to state that the headlight is out. My 20 year old BMW will eliminate a dash light when one of the lights are out. But my Model 3 doesn’t show anything. Not sure why the headlight went out. Just stopped working all of a sudden. So I have been researching costs, and how to replace them. Because I am not going to take it to Tesla. They will charge so much more.

      @@KrisFlix yeah they are very expensive That's why I went the eBay route... From what I can remember I didn't get a warning either I just noticed it myself.

    You may not have intended to create a "how to" video but you actually did it. Thanks for recording your experience. Question, did you need any extra parts besides just the Headlamp Assembly? I was thinking I might also buy new plastic connectors across the bottom - would that have helped?

    • @Crazypostman
      @Crazypostman  ปีที่แล้ว

      I did not need any extra parts... Now saying that I did break a few connectors I just left them out 😂 so having spare would probably not be a bad thing

    I have an odd problem with my model 3 2019. I correctly installed the headlights and made sure the connections still worked with my old lights, but they REFUSE to turn on with the VLAND brand headlights. Is this a 12v issue or something with the Tesla computer? I reached out for support from their website, but haven’t heard back yet. Anyone else experience something like this? (Lucky your Tesla worked as soon as you plugged those wires in. I just want things to work the first time 😭)

      Strange, I'm sure it's software related somehow. I used an authentic Tesla headlight I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Any kind of errors in service mode?

    Hi there,
    By any chance, did you have any delays on that headlight when you unlock the car from the app or something. I just replaced the same side and when it unlock de car every light turn on before that specific headlight. It takes about 1-3 seconds before turn on 😩

    • @Crazypostman
      @Crazypostman  ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow this is an old video you found I've had two different electric cars since this 😂 from what I remember, I didn't have to do any calibration the car recognized them no problem. They did self-calibrate but you can still manually adjust aim through the vehicle settings. I always aim my lights a little lower because I hate to blind people.

      If your replacement doesn't work you need to "Reinstall the software" which is super easy, on the display click on software -- where it says Model 3 or Model Y hold your finger on the word model for about 5 seconds a password screen will come up and the password is: service
      In the service menu click the "reinstall software" and let that finish -- exit service mode by holding exit service
      Boom your eBay light is now programmed to the car and works...
