- A Massive Belly Busting Full English Breakfast at Pellicci's E Pellicci in Bethnal Green London. A restaurant made infamous for where The Kray Twins used to frequent. A scene from the Movie Legend was even filmed here. This was a huge breakfast, possibly the biggest full English Breakfast I've ever eaten. If you are ever in The City of London then this is a great restaurant and a good challenge. Here's my Review...

I used to live on Bethnal Green rd, pelliccis as always been terrific, l left London 20 years ago, when ever I’m back in London, I always take time to get across to Pelliccis, thankfully it’s one part of London that never changes.
That’s my local cafe, always a great plate of food and the banter is some of the best!
In the sixties and seventies London used to be mostly Italian cafe's and sandwich bars just like this. Unfortunately the likes of Starbucks, Pret and McDonald's have taken over providing expensive inferior character less establishments. Leicester Square and the City area is a prime example of where places like this have been sadly pushed out.
Long live the Italian run coffee shops.

I have been to this most iconic of London Italian-owned restaurants and I think it's absolutely wonderful..and their belly busting breakfast "The Lot" is really really really good.
I rated this breakfast 10 out of 10.
i was brought up in pelliccis from the age of 4/5 till left bethnal green in 2006 and i miss it so much great cafe great family was a good friend with nevio snr play darts together in the marquis of cornwallis lovely man sadly departed but yes you want good food in london its the place to go

I no longer live in the UK but as a kid this was my local cafe. For the last 35 years I have been recommending this place to anyone visiting London. Really happy that I have been proved right and you had a great breakfast. If anybody goes you have to try their mums bread pudding it is a thing of wonder.

I was down there 3 years ago ...After a shocking hotel breakfast we popped on the tube down to bethnal green waited for a table (place was packed) ...always a good sign had to share a table with some local builders but they shared their chips with us so all good ...Was about xmas time and a young lad working there might be one of the owners was getting people to stand up who had xmas jumpers on was such a laugh ended up staying for over hour and half had one of the best breakfasts ive ever had and walked out with a very nice slice of free homemade cake .....100% 10/10 for sure and would and have told people they must go

Was there this past January from the US and loved it. Such large portions and I couldn’t finish it- the owner asked me if I don’t like it! It was delicious but large!!

Was over in that there London with my boy this past weekend. Totally forgot you'd reviewed the place. Absolutely the best breakfast I've ever sampled. The lad had pancakes, and they were off-scale material.
We ended up at Gerrard's Corner for Chinese dinner later, another rated place of yours'. An amazing Chinese.

Personally I think we should have a referendum to vote on hash browns which are illegal immigrants leaving our breakfast plates and see them sent back to their own country a across the pond. It's time for good old fashioned fried bread to get back to filling the job.

Up until 2006 I used to visit a friend in Bethnal Green about two or three times a year. We went to a few cafes and restaurants, but unfortunately not this one, which I wished we had. I personally couldn't tackle a breakfast that size, but it looked really good.
Next time your in Liverpool Lee go to the Shamrock Cafe in Bebington they do a massive Belly Buster Breakfast with Free refills on the coffee
Came here afetr your recent Benidorm full english video, where you mentioned Pellici's.
Just watching a video on another food channel, Insider/Food Insider, and the presenters on there go for 3 full englishes, and finish up at Pellici's. The twist, one of them is an american. Its interesting to hear his opinions on full english breakfasts. Also, all of the breakfast they have, had bubble and squeek on them. That must be a London Full English thing, as never seen that 'up north'.
The Pellici full english does look good though. If I'm ever that far south, might have to try and visit. Last few times I've headed to London, its just been on a connecting flight to New York, Haha.
Just should head up to Beverley in East Yorkshire, a cafe called Pollys does a large big breakfast and they do the best sausages.

Please, please try The Full English breakfast from H’s Diner in Bury Gtr Manchester - 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 eggs, hash browns, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes, black pud, fried bread and 2 toast for £4.80 a bargain. Can swap black pud for something else if wish. A pot of tea is £1.40 or coffee £1 can’t beat it at all.
It all gets cooked fresh to order how you want it, (crispy bacon, ŵell done sausages, yolky eggs) so there’s a bit of a wait but it’s great stuff and place is always busy and spotless . They do healthy options breakfasts too. A little gem of a greasy spoon which deserves better recognition

Try Dory’s in High Barnet. They’re actually cousins of the Pellici’s. It’s top notch in there too
the fried bread needs to eaither be at the side if the plate next to something with no just juice like next to the bacon or preferable on a seperate plate its getting all soggy undert those beans

You can't beat fried bread. Morrisons used to include it in their early started but now it's only in the big breakfast which I don't like. I've got a craving now for fried bread in my fat little tummy.
That was a proper breakfast looked amazing,but back in the day the Krays owned that place,and the is another place in East end Of London the dad used to take them to eat when they was kid's, cannot remember the name of the place but they did get a clip around the ear no and then 👍

I never liked black pudding until about six months ago when I had a pulled pork and black pudding truffle. I was then given it again at a BnB without asking for it. I hate food waste so I though oh well, lets try it. Been 30 years since I last had some. I t was delicious. It tastes like slightly minted charred lamb.

if you want a huge brekkie, visit smokey joes truck stop in scorrier, just off the A30 in cornwall, it was so huge i didnt eat dinner! And i never tried black pudding before till i visited here, now i eat it! smokey joes is worth a visit!
There's another one in bethnal green run by a greek guy. Used to go there on Saturday mornings..with neighbours, newspapers.

I was in london for a gog yesyerday, so after watching this video, popped in.. fucking fantastic!!! A bitnof advice, you want robotic sercice if a werherspoon, dont come here!! Its relaxed, you will wait longer ro be served, and for the food, but soon as you enter rhe banter starts, the owner is fucking mental! Proper east end geezer... Definitely will be going back, and cant wait.

Top place, the criminals lived nearby at 22 Vallance Road. They needed a good fill before they started their day extorting honest hard working people. You dont need Time Out or Luvvies sluming it to give it a recommendation. The place speaks for its self.
I challenge you to give black pudding a chance!!! I used to nauseate at the idea of it for years, until last year when I ate it in a really tasty sausage roll....now it's my absolute favourite in a fry up....and my husband's! 😋

Blue plaque......showing friend terraced house i was born in on street view. Now has blue plaque on the wall. Turns out a Bletchley code breaker was born there, Sir Francis Harry Hinsley.
It would get just a 8.5 from me, where was the toast?. Nice review fellas but I love my Black Pudding and over in Asia get a Full breakfast with all the trimming you can swap Black for White or Fruit pudding or Tattie scones......Its a cracking EX-PAT restraunt and they call it the Superman brekkie totally huge.........eat it and all you can do after is crash the sofa.£7.50 and all products are OG and the beans are Branston which for me is a step up as Heinz are way to sickly sweet. Anyway enjoy the channel and am tuning into Darrens, take care guys.
