Just the video I needed to see. I have a set of 4 plastic chairs that are at least 20 years old. They are dull grey, and giving off that plastic chair dust. I was going to spray paint them. But now I will wash them with cleaner and go get some leftover paint to spruce them up. What a great idea. Thank you so much.
Great! I'm going to paint a couple of pet carrier cages that a neighbor was going to throw out. And I'm going to paint a resin doghouse of mine too. Thanks, Robbie!
So glad I found this video! Thank you!! I decided to paint my chairs to match my newly painted house since I have some leftover exterior paint. Can't wait to get started.
I was so excited to get my totes planted that I didn't paint the chairs ...maybe later😊 Just love your enthusiasm. You always cheer me up. You should see how FAST my little garden is growing! Like you say, I think they like it here. 😊😆
They look great.... like brand new! Cool thing is that you now have chairs for in colors that they are never sold in! I've always wanted to try this. But thought you had to use spray paint. This is something I never thought of (the tester paints...and painting these chairs with a paint brush!).
Thanks for the video. We have an old, small, resin Suncast outdoor storage shed with similar sun damage. I was going to replace it, but now will paint it. You saved us a lot of money. Thanks again.
Thanks for a great video. I have those exact chairs, and the Hawaiian sun has faded the finish. They are so comfortable that I don't want to get rid of them. I will be going to Lowes tomorrow.
I'm a little chubbie and one time backpacking we came upon a country store so I set my pack on the table and plopped my behind down in one of these chairs and the rear leg went ahead and gave out. Not the chairs fault I'm hooked on ice cream. These look gorgeous. Nice job!
Dear Robbie, that is such a great idea ! Hope you don't mind, I shared your video in my group and another one where many Ladies just LOVE to DIY ! Many hugs to you, Gary and belly rubs to the dogs !
I've used the spray paint that's supposed to be for these type of plastics but invariably the paint starts chipping off. I'm going to try this brush-on method to paint them and hope the paint stays on this time!
I always check out the discounted paint for crafting, but never thought to use it on my chairs. Guess what my granddaughter and I will be doing in the near future 🥰
Never thought of tester paints. I have several older chairs that I have used spray paint on. I even have one of those resin benches that i paint every so often. This year i chose yellow, teal and rust n did a tie dye look. It's cute! But your raised garden vwd with those chairs are awesome and going to try growing some zucchini if I can find some chairs. I already have 10 tomato plants in huge pots on my deck.
No, hose it off, and just paint with outdoor house paint, works great, my chair garden has old chair in there I painted OVER 10 years ago going great, and it does not come off once painted, so I used them for family parties until I did the chair garden, take care
was about to throw 3 high comfy back thicker ones away cause the green was on my clothes, hope it washes off, well i have lots of spray paint so gonna paint them
Hi Robbie Thanks for all your helpful hints. Your veggie bends that sit on top so you put holes in bottom? It looks like you have a bucket under each one w a tube. Can you explain that? You have shared so many good helpful videos. I really appreciate your time. Catherine💕
Totally off subject but I want to thank you for all the bird bath tips! I also put a mister up in a tree that drips down the leaves into the bath that bubbles from a solar powered fountain (your idea). I live in Vegas where it's blistering hot, but now birds have an oasis. And my backyard has lots of bird activity.
This is so great! I have a chair that I've been debating throwing out. I'll try this. I've been wondering though, does the acrylic/latex paint peal in the rain?
If it’s an exterior paint it should not come off when it rains. Not sure if it’s interior paint. Some paints are for both. She said some of hers are 10 years old.
Thank you for this video dear. Please let as know how well the color stayed on the chairs . I want to do the same and I worry that the color will not be able to stay on.
ROBBIE! I HAVE A CEMENT PATIO. CAN I MAKE A RAISED BED ON TOP OF THE CEMENT? I FIGURED I WOULD HAVE TO PUT FINE STONES ON THE CEMENT TO PREVENT DIRT FROM WASHING OUT, WHAT DO U THINK?
Interesting, my sister painted her chairs before a big party (with special paint for such a purpose) and every one wearing sunscreen wound up with green arms 😅
I only use house plant, I don’t even know of a special paint for painting chairs, but the 50 Cent discount house paint from Home Depot and Lowe’s has never come off no matter what I’m doing😊
Help, I'm trying to find someone that prepares chairs that have the material deteriorating and comes off gritty. Like there are indentations. So is there something i can use to fill in the holes, and indentions and make it smooth, perhaps sand it smooth, THEN paint it? What should i use? Like theres that "plastic wood" stuff on a tube but not sure if there's something better. Drywall puddy?? LoL
Wash them down and lightly sand before painting and it will last so much longer. Great tip about the tester paint. 👍🏾
10 years later and still great 😊
What did you use to wash them with? Just soap and water it did you use something specific? Also what did you use to sand it?

What a great idea. Thank you so much.
This lady's got motivation!
Wonderful way to keep them out of the landfill. Now to mame my raised garden!!
I'm in heaven. Found 3 chairs in someone's recycling! Off to Lowes for paint.
Hahahahah 😜😜😜😄😄😄
I envy you lol 😂
I just got my neighbors, they set out for trash! Hoping to fix them up and give to my daughter for her patio
Thank you for sharing your great paint idea, I have 2 chairs that haven't been sat in in years, Glad I hung on to them.
Great! I'm going to paint a couple of pet carrier cages that a neighbor was going to throw out. And I'm going to paint a resin doghouse of mine too. Thanks, Robbie!
Love this! I have at least 4 different chairs, and lots of those small jars of paint; can't wait to try this!
So glad I found this video! Thank you!! I decided to paint my chairs to match my newly painted house since I have some leftover exterior paint. Can't wait to get started.
This is amazing! I'm helping my boyfriend get his patio together, and I'll be doing this❤
Great idea, doing it next weekend, painting my plastic white bench!
Works great, happy painting 😊
I was so excited to get my totes planted that I didn't paint the chairs ...maybe later😊
Just love your enthusiasm. You always cheer me up.
You should see how FAST my little garden is growing! Like you say, I think they like it here. 😊😆
Using the chairs for raised beds is brilliant

I just ordered paint online, love it, painting more chairs and more 😊. Happiest Painting
You are so, so special for teaching us new ententes ideas! Praise God for you and Gary.
This chair is so fascinating. You can found this in any place of the world
Light and easy to ship 🥰
I was surprised to see that you don’t have to use a special paint for these resin chairs!
AWESOME ROBBIE ! THANK YOU VERY MUCH ! Yes the paint on those type of chairs do rub off on clothing, a good idea you have painting them.
Now im feelin motivated
And this garden is my favorite ❤️
I'm a little chubbie and one time backpacking we came upon a country store so I set my pack on the table and plopped my behind down in one of these chairs and the rear leg went ahead and gave out. Not the chairs fault I'm hooked on ice cream. These look gorgeous. Nice job!
Great ideas, beautiful color
Dear Robbie, that is such a great idea !
Hope you don't mind, I shared your video in my group and another one where many Ladies just LOVE to DIY !
Many hugs to you, Gary and belly rubs to the dogs !
Thank you Ihave been wanting to paint my white plastic chairs. I will be following you from now on
I just bought some cheap purple markdown paint, so I will have lots of Purple chairs soon instead of white 😊 I pick up lots of free chairs❤️ Thanks!
Love the variety of bright colors in Summer. Pretty & cheerful.
How Smart. Robbie keeps creating things to try. I now will do this and my table. THANK YOU.
Ms. Robbie.... we love you in NC!!! Thank you very much for your videos!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much. I'm going to Lowes tomorrow! I can't wait to see them painted.
You are like the mom I want to have that I never did. Thanks for the help!
I've used the spray paint that's supposed to be for these type of plastics but invariably the paint starts chipping off.
I'm going to try this brush-on method to paint them and hope the paint stays on this time!
I’ve had terrific luck with brush, painting the plastics the spray to me peels off as well ❤️
I always check out the discounted paint for crafting, but never thought to use it on my chairs. Guess what my granddaughter and I will be doing in the near future 🥰
Love it, have several to do. Recycling rocks!
Love your tips!!! So glad to see these chairs being reused. I always stop by their oops paint!
Me too!! I love the "oops" and returned paints, THANKS!
This is great! Thank you for the test paint tip!
what a wonderful solution!
Robbie you look gorgeous today😍 your lovely makeup looks great on you !!
Never thought of tester paints. I have several older chairs that I have used spray paint on. I even have one of those resin benches that i paint every so often. Came here to look for ideas. Thank you for the tester paint idea!
I was wondering if painting these plastic chairs was possible, thanks for sharing & proving that it is possible! 👍 🙏 ⭐️ 👏 ❤️
Still painting more chair as I find them in the trash 😀
I just love your raised bed idea!!
Thanks for the tip. I’ve been going crazy trying to scrub the powder off these chairs.
No, hose it off, and just paint with outdoor house paint, works great, my chair garden has old chair in there I painted OVER 10 years ago going great, and it does not come off once painted, so I used them for family parties until I did the chair garden, take care
They look great! Thanks for sharing your secret!😊
I dont recall ever seeing these paints at lowes. I love the colors.
Good job! I do the same and its fun to change the colours
Thank you! Cheers!
That is a great idea. You guys always seem to come up with great ideas😁
She is so beautiful
❤️
thank you… info is priceless 🙌🏽
Nice idea - and it's good to know that brush paint is OK, rather than spray paint.
I love your energy and your tips are awesome!
You are so adorable xxxx I'm off to paint a bistro set I got for £20 !! Hello from England xxxx
Love this
Robbie girlfriend!! I love your chairs. Beautiful idea. Thank you so much for sharing with us. I will be doing this to mine next year👍😍
Love it
You can mix the paint with acrylic paint from the dollar store and you can customize the paint as well.
Great idea! Thank you.
Tnx for sharing..great idea..tnx
Thanks Robbie. Appreciate the special video! Such festive colors !!
Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
was about to throw 3 high comfy back thicker ones away cause the green was on my clothes, hope it washes off, well i have lots of spray paint so gonna paint them

Hi Robbie
Thanks for all your helpful hints.

That is a great Idea. Thank you for sharing this tip. Also thank you for sharing the paint buys. I'm going to lowes today for paint. LOL
“Do everything…because it’s there,” amazing.m and beautiful.
This is so great! I have a chair that I've been debating throwing out. I'll try this. I've been wondering though, does the acrylic/latex paint peal in the rain?
I might be mistaken, but I don't think the paint will be taken off by the rain.
Have a nice day !
If it’s an exterior paint it should not come off when it rains. Not sure if it’s interior paint. Some paints are for both. She said some of hers are 10 years old.
I have some if you want but you'll have to travel all the way to Australia lol.
What a wonderful idea. I can't bend down so I want to put tubs on the chairs, if I can find some.
I found 15 chairs really cheap. Here I go.
Sand it lightly. Use a plastic primer. Paint a few coats on. Should last ages.
THANK YOU FOR NICE INFORMATION,
Thank you for this video dear. Please let as know how well the color stayed on the chairs . I want to do the same and I worry that the color will not be able to stay on.
Great video, lots of good information! Thank you❤️🇨🇦
My white lawn chairs are half black now from tree sap and mildew. I’m trying to figure out how to paint them.🤗🤷🏼♀️
Excellent !!! Thank you
I wondered where you got those beautiful colored chairs! Awesome!! 💚🌿🌻🥰
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Is thee a difference between chairs? are all of them resin or plastic?
Great video! How much paint did you use for one chair?
Hi there thanks for the fantastic tip. Do you specifically choose a leftover paint that has a primer in it or does it not matter?
Does not matter
ROBBIE! I HAVE A CEMENT PATIO. CAN I MAKE A RAISED BED ON TOP OF THE CEMENT? I FIGURED I WOULD HAVE TO PUT FINE STONES ON THE CEMENT TO PREVENT DIRT FROM WASHING OUT, WHAT DO U THINK?
Is it absolutely necessary to wash them before painting?
No, you don’t need to wash them, just make sure there is not a lot of dust on them
Also you can mix for diff colours
Hi. I am starting a tote garden. I am very new at any gardening. What is the best way to pick your brain? Love your videos!!!
I was always wanting to paint my chairs and table made by “Rubbermaid”, but I’m always wondering which paint would be more flexible and not chip off.
These paints work great
Water paint or oil paint?
Hi, I'm wondering do you have a video about the actual raised beds on top of the chairs please? Thx, Maz from South Australia.
Yes- it's called Best Easy Garden Ever.
Tks 🤗
Does the paint need to have primer?
No, but I think many new paints now have the already in the mix.
I know you sometimes get throw aways....but Where do you buy your chairs? I can't find them anywhere.
link for the paint please
On my way Lowe's home Depot I'm A coming
is this water base paint?
Yes
Help, I'm trying to find someone that prepares chairs that have the material deteriorating and comes off gritty. Like there are indentations. I just use tester paints
When I buy these chairs they always break but maybe I’m just fat 😭
