Enjoying your videos Peter, could you possibly enlighten us all as to which brand those LED lamps are and offer your opinion as to which are the best lamps for modellers?

Very sad that WNW is not producing kits any longer. Also, rising values means that many kits will remain unbuilt. I acquired many of my fav WNW kits years back... but now I’m very apprehensive about building any of them due to their rising value. Initially, it was just the beautiful box art and high quality that attracted me. I ended up selling my beloved Gotha Kit bc the value had gone up so much that when money was needed, it was hard to justify it sitting there. Now I just regret selling it! The new High resale values: It’s both nice and sad at the same time if that makes any sense? Still love all of my kits.

Hopefully the new Kotare Spitfire Mk.1A next year (from the NZ company founded by former WNW staff) will bring the same level of quality, detail & presentation to us once again? 🤞🏻

      Arhhh, wrong.
They've already hinted they're going to stuff up the whole point of it.
Hobby people aren't the best choice for a global start up.
If you want an example just look at Wingnut wings and the sales BOOM they handed to strangers.
This hobby is full of sick in the head people.
Peter disowned his TH-cam page 8 years ago.
He was looking very ill in his most recent videos. Too over weight with liquid, pale skin, dark lines around his eyes.

The molds for the kits are a capitol asset & quite valuable so I'd expect some company will buy them & spit em out...

      So what.
      There's a 1000 fish burgers out there.

TH-cam has just started showing a video that explains Peters passions.
Now people learn peter owned this product.
But its after the fact information.
Someone must sue the hobby industry to get rid of the crims running the show.
There's been nothing on peter's TH-cam page for 8 years.
So can we sue peter as well?
This product just looked like all the other Chinese product and sales staff said it WAS 100% Chinese product and we delayed buying for years cause hobby industry runs buying frenzy technique, with everything.

      @dreyn7780 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is just the beginning!
      $400 will soon be $2000.
Scammers will quickly shoot themselves in the foot.
      Everyone's watching.

went to an airshow over here in New Zealand in April 2021 and Wingnut Wings were selling the last of their stock on a stall. I managed to buy the Gotha G1 for $200 (100 pound), the William Barker Snipe for $120 (60 pound) and the Le Rhone Camel and a USAS Camel for $100 each (50 pound each). On reflection I should have bought more. Alan.

My big city hobby shops ruined sales of this brand for its whole life.
By selling directly to locals they destroyed the scammers.
But unfortunately the scammers will just raise the price to compensate for their missing out on those purchases.
This whole business life was perfect from an idealistic perspective but a huge explosion BOOM ! from many angles.

I have the following WNW kits in my stash, the Gotha G.IV, the Bristol F.2b Fighter, FE.2b Late, the Sopwith Snipe Late, and the Junkers J.1. The two I craved the most were the SE.5a 'Hisso' and the RE.8 Harry Tate (which I meant to add to an order from NZ, so a few days later went to order it and found out it had sold out....bummer! )

    • @Peter-Oxley-Modelling-Lab

Hi Geoffrey, Yes, I wanted the SE.5a Hisso too and had the same outcome. 😕

My hobby shops are hiring lazy liars who can't sell.
They couldn't be bothered speaking about this brand at all.
To most people this just seemed to be a 100% Chinese company that did deals with middle men scum who hired lower scum to sell product.
The definition of sell being to sit behind a counter and play with your eye phone and be extremely dumb and attack customers.

      Dude,
The whole business is always on life support due to low class running the show and extreme thrift iness from the customer side.
Gaming took of and now steals every minute of every day.

Nice collection of kits on the bench but do not try selling Hermann Goring's Fokker D.VII F on Ebay as they will remove it. Anything associated with Hermann Goring is now not allowed and is a policy violation.

@@Peter-Oxley-Modelling-Lab This is the message I got from Ebay... The Model that you listed is of, or affiliated with (Hermann Goring (also Goering)), a Nazi Leader. eBay does not allow items that were owned by or affiliated with, any of the following Nazi leaders: -Martin Bormann, Reinhard Heydrich, Alfred Rosenberg, Heinrich Himmler, Wilhelm Bodewin, Johann Gustav Keitel, Hermann Göring (also Goering), Rudolf Hess, Joseph Goebbels, Julius Streicher, or Adolf Hitler. ?Affiliated with? means items that are directly associated with the person. Instead of $400 it now goes on the black market for $2000.

Unfortunately one of them the plane of a convicted Nazi war criminal. Never got my head around why WNW did that. Not even an exciting scheme. Everyone to themselves, I suppose.
I only got two Albatrosses and a Hannover, and I built another Albatross. Touch of envy here.

Peter love the channel especially the Matchbox reviews. However to return to price rises when production stops. I started building in the early 60's Eaglewall 1/96 aircraft now scarce as hens teeth. The next one's were the 1/1200 ships which cost about 10p, last time I checked which was several years ago unmade one's were £50 to £70 and they weren't that good. I know because I still have a lot of them ( made by a 12 year old).

    • @GG-lx8rp

Just a quick update £14 for an Empty box £25 to £80 for a unmade kit.

Realize the nice WW2 generation have passed away and now you're surrounded by scum.
2 years ago I heard constant swearing from buyers.
      Wake-up!
Its not going to get any better for 500 years.
800 will soon be doubled and then tripled.

What's the point being a fool and paying such high prices for these kits? Their all going to come out again and will be a fraction of the price.

    • @Peter-Oxley-Modelling-Lab
      @Peter-Oxley-Modelling-Lab  2 ปีที่แล้ว

I doubt it Brian. Sir Peter Jackson has threatened to sue anyone releasing a kit from one of his molds within an inch of their life and warned distributors they may be liable. And no other manufacturer is producing such a perfected high quality package...See my Lancaster vids.
