Nice selection of seasonal picks Omni 😁👍 I love We’re No Angels (and not _just_ because of Gloria Talbott 😍) and _The Thin Man_ in particular. Side note, once you run out of _Thin Man_ movies, be sure to check out William Powell’s earlier outings as detective Philo Vance 😉
Love the video as usual, Omni Viewer. Looking nice and snazzy in that Yuletide suit. On the subject of unconventional Christmas tales, my go-to will always be Gremlins. I understand why it wasn't on the list, due to being fairly well known, but either way, I watch Gremlins every year.
Prior to 1950?! For most people in the mainstream internet, film history began with the original Star Wars, and for some of them even that's going back too far.
Some great choices, Omni! Another counterculture option would be Telly Savalas in Battle of the Bulge -- he's the main reason it counts as a Christmas film despite being set all around Christmas (and he's a small part of a large plot of characters). For another counterculture alternative with more actual Christmas spirit despite not quite being Christmas yet, is the topically related A Midnight Clear (aka "Section 44" I think?), set right before the Bulge kicks off (so the few days before Dec 14). That one's almost as hard-R as Die Hard, and is sort of like a quirky Matthew Broderick film if set near the Ardennes front line in 1944.
Alright I need to check out Pottersville. Got a few alternatives to DIE HARD myself. Violet Night (2022), Ride Your Wave from 2019 (Okay for Xmas is only really apart of the 1st and last 10 mins of the movie but I still watch it this time of year.), Krampus (2015), Tokyo Godfathers, & The Lemon Drop Kid (1951).
Trying to think of a kaiju feature that has Christmas or some hint of it and thus far, the only one I can think of is "Gorath", but the events of the feature really started during the New Year.
First of all, it has to be said, you're looking dashingly sharp in that incredible christmas ensemble Omni!!!!!!! Very well dressed indeed!!!!! Secondly, your list of alternative holiday films to Die Hard were sublime , thank you, Snazzy, and Rodney for this wonderful Christmas offering!!!!!!! Merry Christmas to you and yours, and a Happy and prosperous New Year is extended to you as well!!!!!!!!!!🎄🎁🎄🎁🎄🎁🎄🎁🎄🎁🎄🎁🎄🎁🎄🎁🙏✝️🙏✝️🙏✝️🙏✝️🙏✝️🙏✝️🙏✝️🙏✝️🙏✝️😊.
I'm really interested in seeing Lady in the Lake. It was apparently a critical and commercial flop at the time of its release but the concept is great.
The pick of Batman Returns makes me so happy, as after I had a long journey with it and upon my most recent viewing, it's probably my favourite of the Burton/Schumacher Batman films. It's not my favourite Batman film period (Mask of the Phantasm and Batman Begins have that position), but its darkly gothic stylings and melancholic plot make it a worthy follow-up to the 1989 film. Choosing to set it at Christmas also added so much to the atmosphere, I feel.
How do u feel about Christmas episodes from certain cartoons examples being (X-Men 90s series) Have Yourself A Morlock X-Mas (Batman TAS) Christmas With The Joker/ Holiday Knights (Justice League) Comfort N Joy (Pinky N The Brain) Christmas episode (Real Ghostbusters) X-Mas Marks The Spot (Robotech) Seasons Greetings
Counting the original, six total. In order, they are: The Thin Man (1934) After the Thin Man (1936) Another Thin man (1939) Shadow of the Thin Man (1941) The Thin Man Goes Home (1944) Song of the Thin Man (1947) William Powell and Myrna Loy also appeared as Nick and Nora on the radio, a few episodes of which are included as special features depending on the DVD/Bluray edition.
(2:40) Ive always liked "Batman Returns", granted it was never one of my favorite Batman movies but its still interesting and fun to watch (especially if your a big Tim Button fan). But in regards to its popularity I think it's slowly starting to happen these past couple of years. I highly recommend watching Phat Samurai Guy's Versus episode on "Batman Returns" and "Iron Man 3", I think you'll be surprised Omni. 🤡🐧🦇🐈⬛🎄 (14:56) I also consider the first Jurassic World film a Christmas movie. Granted im sure much like "Iron Man 3" and or "Shazam" you would consider it just a movie that happens to take place around the Christmas time, but im sure someone might do a deep dive analysis into the movie and give a more elaborate reasons as to why it should be considered a Christmas movie. 🤔🏝🦖🧬🤷♂
Damn, Omni got that Yuletide Drip! 💧💧💧💧💧💧
I donned me now some sort of apparel.

I just purchased We're No Angels (1955) on Blu Ray last week. One of my favorite Christmas movies.
Funny given the name of the town being Pottersville I kept thinking this had something to do with It’s A Wonderful Life
Merry Christmas Omni and too all a yuletide cheer
Thanks for including "The Thin Man "and its sequels... most of these movie lists seem to forget that there were movies being made prior to 1950.
Prior to 1950?! For most people in the mainstream internet, film history began with the original Star Wars, and for some of them even that's going back too far.
So glad I could discover these gems. Great video!
Nice drip, hope your having a good Christmas

I finally got to show We’re No Angels to my 12 year old nephew he thought it was so silly I loved it

Next year return of the living dead comes out Christmas and the trailer already out shows tarman drag a Christmas tree through cemetery
What Do You Think Of The „We‘re No Angels“ Version With Robert DeNiro And Sean Penn?
Hey Omni what do u think of Trading Places as a potential Christmas/ New Year’s alternative movie
when will you review creature commandos?
I originally planned to wait until the season was over, but I might do a halfway video after the next episode.
@omniviewer2115 what are your thoughs on the show so far?
So what does that say about Die Hard 2, Lethal Weapon n Gremlins (since they also qualify as Christmas movies)
How do u feel about Christmas episodes from certain cartoons examples being

After the Thin Man (1936)
Another Thin man (1939)
Shadow of the Thin Man (1941)

Hey Omni Viewer! Would you like to review the Christmas adventure film “Red One”?
Honestly, I'd be more angry at my wife hiding being a furry than cheating.
