Masters is House's little girl that he raised as if she were his daughter. Chase, Taub, and Thirteen are the only subordinates he acknowledged as his student. Foreman is just a friend. Amber is a close friend he had after Wilson.
It was best that she left. She would have had to change how she went about things because her main reasons for leaving was that she tried to put logic into everything. Putting logic into house is like trying to stop a tornado with your bare handset
@@ford1chevy2dodge3 Yeah, and that's what I LIKED about her. She also had Cameron's morality, but not her hubris cos of how isolated she'd always been. Which made her less annoying, while still functioning as a conscience. It also made it a pleasure to watch her grow and establish some of her first connections to people. All in all a real nice part of the team. I'd have also really liked seeing how she got along with Dr. Park at some point.

I kind of wonder if masters has Asperger’s. I have Asperger’s and she kind of reminds me of myself at times, like injecting obvious comments or not knowing when to say (or NOT say) something. lol. Had she (AND the team) realized this, some concessions might possibly have been made by she AND the team and she could have stayed on. (Were it real life. Which it’s not. But still. lol)
I doubt House would've allowed her to get any concessions. He would probably be of the mind that her being unable to work properly without everyone else going out of their way to accommodate her would mean she isn't qualified to work in the field, at least at the level they work at. After all; the patients and their conditions can't be expected to give a $#!+ that she's neurodivergent.
I actually think House picked up on this and it's key to how he treats her. He wanted to break down the social norms she'd learned to impose on herself and get her thinking 'properly' again. (It didn't work.)
