LOL! I worked at a job back in the 80's, and one of the women I worked had a laugh exactly like Madame that was contagious and hilarious! I'm sitting here laughing my butt off at the part with Shirley! Both their laughing is cracking me up!!!
The performance venue was not at the Hyatt, but at "The Grand Finale" cabaret 208 W 70th St -- it's long gone today. It's been a steakhouse and is about to be an Italian restaurant. Madame even mentions "The Grand Finale" in the opening scene on the phone call. If you play the original VHS and compare to this TV broadcast it's been censored. The opening song over the credits even had some mild swear words. The version played here is the same song as on the VHS but "milder".
Bill Lorance that's cool ...I been watching him every sense he was on that show sold gold ..then I started watching him doing stuff on stage ..I think puppets are cool ..never liked them till I saw madame ..as funny as Wayland Flowers is and how he brings madame to life is what made me like puppets ..got to thank Wayland for that
i realized recently, that growing up back in the day a lot of my favorite comedians were super gay. paul lynde, charles nelson reily, rip taylor and wayland flowers. i loved those guys as a kid. i didn't always get every joke, but i could feel the funny.
I love Madame. Too bad, we don't have a Madame today. We all could use a good laugh.
Madame is still around! Google her!
Wayland and Madame were brilliant! 🍾
Wayland Flowers was brilliantly funny and a comedic genius! :-)

I like how Henny Youngman did a cameo in it. He's the one invented the "take my wife please" jokes.
I really wish this was the entire video. I know it was up at one point and I loved it.

I met Madame & Waylon at Studio One. I also have this video I recorded on Showtime & since I transferred to DVD. I enjoy it every time I view it.
what was Waylon flowers like ?
He was fun of course but I met him backstage and Madame was just on the chair. I felt Madame had passed away but overall it was great fun.
Bill Lorance was he a nice guy? I loved his work for a long time him and madame was so funny ..make me laugh every time I watch them
He was very nice, he told me it was the first time his mother had seen his show while he was on tour. The tour covered the southern states.
