Excellent, Jill, can't wait to get my copy! Any plans for a third instalment taking the story up to 1840? I'd love to know how the do fared up to Anne Lister's death!❤

They both had a deep affection for each-other and walker was so strong to go for love or nothing at all despite her anxieties of the world. That’s courage ❤

After reading this book, I still believe Anne Lister dispite her petty grievances loved Ann Walker. Being at shibden close to the tribe must have added considerable stress to Ann Walker, thus causes flair ups in her general health. I know this to be true as added stress to me personally causes considerable flare ups of my disability.
When both Ann/es would travel it seemed it was a lot less stressful to AW, especially being away from the tribes watchful eyes. They seemed to get on better. If AL would have consulted AW more before making decisions I believe their marriage wouldn't have caused so much angst.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and await the finale part upto AL death in 1840.
